@MaxNM Of course there are people who prefer the more natural look and color approach to the display and resolution. Samsung's displays were always second to none because of their almost perfect AMOLED displays. Recently it appears that there is a policy within Samsung to make their displays less saturated and more natural colors. Me personally I am not in favor of that approach. But again progress will be deemed differently by each person.
The colors of the video looks better on the 5 vs the 6. Also the new aspect ratio crops in on the video. It's ashamed you have to spend a extro $100 for less video quality
In my opinion it is a software thing, which probably can be addressed with a a software update. See the thing is last year when they were doing Fold 5, they only offered $1000 for fold 4 trade. This year I got almost $1500 in total with fold 5 trade and additional promotion. In reality I believe I paid less for 6 than I did for 5.
Awesome deep dive into the differences! I've been waiting for something comparing the fold6 and the open. I definitely noticed my OnePlus open is not nearly as bright as advertised (200 nits brighter than fold6) The anti-reflective coating does wonders though. Seeing the outside screen aspect ratio differences makes me feel good about my choice to get the open. This thing is so comfortable. I've had it a week and have already taken so many amazing pictures
Open is a great device, great choice, mine held up very well and I had it since the release. Cameras on it puts Samsung foldables to shame. I wonder what Open 2 will be like because first get Open is already that good.
I actually prefer the colors and saturation on the Fold 5 over the Fold 6
Fold 5 does look nicer, same as S23 Ultra looked nicer than S24U Ultra.

@eli2955 Samsung displays were always known for saturated look, which is what I like, and I definitely do miss it.
