I’ve tried so many matte screen protectors and it’s not even close. In my opinion matte screen protectors add more strain due it being another layer on top of the display that prevents proper light escape.

I’ll look into it and include it in my full review, but in reality I think the only changes they made is Android 13 and the finger sensor. I honestly can’t tell difference when holding the next to each other, only that bigger power button differentiates.

When setting up I went by time and not weight, with Peet’s beans it guided me to grind size 28.

For movie watching I’d go for standard display since it offers true image without any layering on top of it. Nano is great for reading and for Apple Pencil use. When I was doing my research about buying Nano textured display on iPad, I have read lots of posts, and many have said going to Apple Store to compare displays didn’t do nano display justice due to lighting in the store itself. Many also have said that they were disappointed from comparing it in store until they brought it home and were able to see true use of nano display.

I have now iPad Pro 11 M4 with Nano Texture Display, and it beats them all.

I love love love this machine, honestly worth every penny and more, every drink comes out perfect every single time. I have a portable Outin espresso machine, and after Oracle Jet I don’t even want to have any other coffee.

@ I see similar issue with 9 Pro XL, while I think pixel is amazing with taking pictures, it is just not up there with recording videos.

My old Pixel 4a was actually great. And a friend of mine who still owns the Pixel 6 Pro also had Video recording problems in the first place but they were fixed - he had no idea anymore how it was done...

I’m not a fan of Bigme products, additionally I’m more likely to find a Boox product in an actual store.

There are pros and cons to both, for most iPad Pro 11 M4 with standard display would be more than enough, as it offers absolutely gorgeous display that doesn’t change in brightly lit environments, of course there will be some reflection, but at least it won’t look very dark and far from vibrant in direct light. Additionally nano does pickup those fingerprints very easy, but it is not easy to remove, plus always requires that apple cloth, which I find myself always looking for it. Now for those who need iPad that is best for reading and for pencil use, then Nano is the one to go for. If I had to pick just one, I’d go for standard display, but since I already have iPad Pro 13 M4 with standard display, so I decided to get nano for reading. Most will say it is too expensive for reading purpose, now if this came out few years ago, then I would of saved a lot more from not needing to buy several Boox devices since most were very disappointing.

It has better visibility in direct sunlight or any form of light, but the quality is not great in such situations even if brightness is maxed out. If any finger print marks on the nano display, that significantly makes visual experience unpleasant, it is like having a cloudy layer that’s distorting the display quality. Taking smudges off nano display is not as easy as it is from a standard display, sometimes I have to rub for some time before it begins to clear up. Additionally that fiber cloth that comes in the box, costs $20, and having one is not enough.

@@MaxNMbut could you recommend it? You sounded like you appreciate the nano texture a lot on a video. I'd use it very heavily for writing, drawing and reading, basically an awful ton of apple pencil usage. I've seen people have been pleased with apple pencil on the nano texture experience.

@ I’d recommend it for anyone who does reading, and using of Apple Pencil. I wouldn’t recommend it for those who need a tablet for sole entertainment purpose such as watching streaming content, movies, television shows, and gaming.

@@MaxNM One question: for photographers and video editing, do you recommend it? Since you have to sacrifice that 1%, would you be missing that small detail when editing? Thank you in advance

@ 100% I would go for standard display if I was using it for photography and/or video editing.

My guess is you don’t have this device, when it was released last year it became super popular, selling out very fast, because it offers much improved e-ink device experience that you can easily take it on the go. Reading on this display makes it enjoyable, it is like a kindle but only with so much more to offer. Of course, this device is not for everyone, but this product is most viewed device out of all videos I’ve recorded, and that says a lot by itself.

I’ll go over settings when I’ll post a video on Palma 2 and will compare it to Palma first generation.

I don’t use a bike, I use an electric scooter. Unlock the lock and secure bike/scooter, that’s all to it.

Since that video I have updated my broadband speeds to 2.5 gigs, but I’m still seeing below wifi 5 territory. Additionally all setting are what they are supposed to be. What do you have to add now?

Which ever one you choose I’d recommend some kind of insurance. Although I have had many foldables at this point and never had any issues, but I also did not use any of them as a main daily driver device. Out of all Samsung offers most advanced software experience. OnePlus Open is in the middle with software customization for a foldable device, but they are not as big as Samsung and Google, so I’m not sure how they address any issues that some might have, although it is my most favorite foldable device, but the slowest with software updates. Now pixel 9 pro fold, will get more attention as it is directly from Google, but has the least amount of software attention to the fact that it is a foldable device, also customer service has pretty bad reputation from my personal experience and the reviews that I read online. I prefer to buy tech toys from Best Buy as I have their total membership, which gives me insurance for everything I buy, peace of mind.

Point is not about manufacturer but the display, and smoothness of use.

The Samsung A9+ would be a better comparison

Palma, 101%, because Hibreak has lower quality display PPI, absolutely trash speaker, overall very clunky experience. For reading and audiobooks Palma is the way to go. Also battery on Hibreak is very poor.

It has a very promising idea, but in this case you get what you pay for, unfortunately. In my opinion they incorporated into TCL OS from what’s available in accessibility settings on most devices. Different display and faster processor would do wonders for this device.

I have access to a lot of devices, when compared to all this my opinion still stands, but everyone has different experiences and thank you for sharing it as it offers different input for others to see.

D1000 is just way too small, like if you want to secure the frame and wheel at the same time, that will be impossible with D1000, but possible with DX1000. I personally feel at peace knowing my equipment is secured outside when I’m at the gym.

I don’t like dark mode for reading, but then again this device is in a lead when compared to many since very few come in this form factor.
