Thanks man. And he’s the reason why Im building that other jeep just to be able to keep up with him. 😆 it was kinda weird filming the vid. But Jeff did a great job explaining everything.
I’m just happy I got to help build it and now seeing how great it works is awesome. And the spools with a lockable hub is actually a great idea! I had a couple friends get Eatons the past few year and they seemed like they never worked right from the beginning. They all either went ARBs or OX.
I bent my Motobuilt rear bumper on my back half kit too. Same side and on a YJ too. I backed up into a rock. I noticed my buddies TJ Motobuilt back half kit had an extra brace in the bumper area. I wonder if they did an update at some point. I did mine in 2019. I think my buddy did his in 2022. The rear crossmember is a great idea.
Damn that sucks too! And they probably did add in a brace at some point. He got that back half kit probably around 2019 too. And it’s a good thing he had that crossmember in there it would probably be a lot worse.
I had an ARB in a d30 on my tj and ran it, NO ISSUES, for 6 years. Ran all over Colorado and parts of Moab. LOVE LOVE LOVE ARB. Oh, BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE TOO!!!!!!! Had a compressor break a piston shaft, was out of warranty, called up ARB, they said it was a recalled part and sent me a brand new compressor, 5 years out of warranty.
That’s awesome. I’ve never tested out their customer service yet. But I need to make a call on my compressor very soon to see if I can get as lucky as you and them give me a new one.
Yeah he definitely did. I think he’s trying to go out to Utah early September. I’m probably taking the year off and only gonna do some more local trails.
Oregon sir, warn from Clackamas Oregon. They originally started in Washington though. Small company making locking hubs, now the leader in affordable winches. (I didn't say budget friendly, badlands rules that roost)
I believe the rear are also 150/150 with a 90 helper spring since the back is so light. I used to have 150/200 up front but it did ride a little rough and I had no preload on it so the springs would fall off the hat at full droop
Absolute best trail repair ever. We are shocked about it too. I’m probably more shocked Jeff never welded it more. But it’s now been tested and approved!
Grizzly lockers for me all day, would never run a selectable unless it’s an OX with the driveaway lock, spools are my second choice for my trailer queen jku but to each their own I’m used to 3 and 4 pt turns now it’s a way of life 😂
Right we all will have our own preferences. Like I said in the video I really like the arbs. But I would definitely go to ox locker another time. Especially if they ever come out with one for the 14bt.
Absolutely agree. I’ve also noticed that the YJ frames are also easier to get a lower stance then TJs. All the TJs I’ve seen have to have the front frame notched or tubed out to sit that low.
Wow. Crazy fitting 16" shocks all the way around and that much wheelbase, but it definitely works! Thank you for sharing.
Definitely hard fitting those shocks. The just fit with no extra room. 😆. Thank you for watching it!
Nice build Jeff has! Cool to see what parts he has in it. Thanks for sharing and go BUCKS!
Absolutely. And thanks for watching! GO BUCKS!
It’s a sweet jeep. Great job on the walk around. I loved watching that thing in your sand hallow vids. Awesome flex.
Thanks man. And he’s the reason why Im building that other jeep just to be able to keep up with him. 😆 it was kinda weird filming the vid. But Jeff did a great job explaining everything.
ahhh yesss!! I have always loved this YJ! Im Spooled front and rear but have lockable hubs. I used to run Eaton but had to many problems.

Love Jeff's jeep!
Same here. I’m super jealous it’s not mine. 😆
Nice talking with you guys at Southington this past Saturday. Little black YJ sitting next to the shop vac truck😅

Jeff definitely built one sweet rig! I'm looking forward to the chance to wheel with you guys!
Yeah he definitely did. I think he’s trying to go out to Utah early September. I’m probably taking the year off and only gonna do some more local trails.
I was hoping you would do a walk around on his rig. Thanks.
Absolutely man. Thanks for watching!

Ahhhh shoot. I was some what close. We love our warns. But I also haven’t heard too many bad things about the newer harbor freight winches.
Josh/Jeff, what the upper and lower spring rates for the front and back axles? Getting ready to install a Motobilt 4 link kit on my LJ.
The fronts are 150/150. The rears we don’t know. He will check this afternoon.

VERY NICEYJ JEEP OFFROAD... VERY GOOD.... VERY STRONGLY HILLS ROCK.. TRAIL. BEST JEEP...VERY NICE...
Thank you!
I can’t believe my knuckle repair is still holding up! 💪🏻💪🏻
Absolute best trail repair ever. We are shocked about it too. I’m probably more shocked Jeff never welded it more. But it’s now been tested and approved!
He tells everyone he meets that story too. 😆
Ever go to town with full hydro steering? How’s that act on long straight trails?
Yes we have. It just feels a little different. But it’s definitely not terrible.
@@Ohio_offroad_adventures awesome. I just started ordering all my build stuff. Mimicking quite a bit of this build. Just maybe not 116” wheelbase lol
@@Girth_Brooks86 ahhh nice 116” with a 42” tire works really well. Best of luck with your build!!
Great video! Are you interested in off-roading lighting stuff sponsorship collab?
Oil pressure and water temp are all you need anyhow. Keep it lubed and cool and it will go anywhere
Absolutely man! All that other stuff he doesn’t need. He at least has the important ones! 😆
Nice of you to title a video about my YJ but you showed the wrong one in it! LOL, Nice YJ though.
😆. Thanks man. And we also don’t really believe that title statement. 😂

A guy that I know has a yj like that. Coilovers is the way to go for yj’s.
Absolutely agree. I’ve also noticed that the YJ frames are also easier to get a lower stance then TJs. All the TJs I’ve seen have to have the front frame notched or tubed out to sit that low.
That title is the fakest of news. 😂
Nonsense. It’s officially on the internet now. So therefore it can’t be fake news. 😂.
