They should've jumped straight to it right there - one act of vengeance Caress could have had against Alexis right off the bat. Or at least this could have been the start of the seduction. Dex certainly didn't mind sleeping with Alexis' relatives and Caress was stunningly gorgeous. The writers were great at bringing characters in but had no idea what to do once they were there.

We never watched Dynasty expecting the levels of The Godfather or Sophie's Choice, but even for camp it's ridiculous that a well known main character's husband and sister would not know of each other.

And before her arrival in Denver she had no contact with Alexis because it was her testimony that helped to convict her .
