+Isaac Rodriguez I remember when everyone hated it for commando pro and one man army noob-tubing but that's what made it awesome. The past 5 CODS have all been bland, boring, and try to be "fair" but still has huge disparity. MW2 just had tons of messed up moments which made it fun like an arcade game and not so much a competitive game.
JasonP16 a game set in ww2 set in 1944 d-day is like a movie based in 1944 d-day copying first hand accounts of marines and soldiers who were there in 1944.

On Gulag i'm like "Dont use the shield, dont use the shield there is no fun with it" *Dies 1651591951 times from enemies that cannot be seen* "Ok. I give up. now I will use the damn shield"
This video popped up as recommended again.. and ugh.. i keep finding issues with it. You can't claim Point Du Hoc stole from a movie.. the movie stole from a REAL event. Nothing about the scene aside from the shell-shocked bit is even similar. However... Call of Duty 2: Big Red One DOES feature the Omaha Beach Landings. Why did you not compare THAT to Saving Private Ryan? I mean come the f*** on. And you didn't even bring up how the entire american campaign for Call of Duty 1 and United Offensive is lifted STRAIGHT from Band of Brothers!
MW2's helicopter crash in Washington DC is more of a reference to Blackhawk down than MW1's helicopter crash. In MW2, a BLACKHAWK crashes, and it's incredibly similar to the scene where the 2nd blackhawk crashes in the movie where they're fighting inside the chopper and yelling out "LAST MAG!"
I've been playing call of duty for many years and I think it's a tie between black ops 1, world at war, modern warfare, and black ops 3. Black ops 3 is byfar one of the best call of dutys they have made and it's a shame that some idiots damn it just because it isn't a carbon copy of every other call of duty.
WW2 games dont really count they are based on real life battle and skirmishes, not necessarily based on movies. Plus saving private ryan and pointe du hoc are to different battles.
agreed. pointe du hoc was captured by rangers and stands out because they had to scale the high cliffs (didnt see it in a movie though).. saving private ryan perfectly depicts getting bogged down when traversing a long beachead, but it's definitely not the same as pointe du hoc...
My grandpa was in Normandy, he is still alive today and can remember details very well. He told me about the beach and whatnot was like. They where stuck there for litterly hours, until some officers (less then 5% left after the first 3 secs on the beach) maneged to get there men together and get over the cliffs.
Matt Carrasquillo Yes, that got a lot of thing right, though he said there was much more blood, and they where stuck there for hours, pinned down. But since it was a movie they had to find a way to cut the time down so they did not make it a 10 hour + movie xD
Love that series, actually the only CoD I've played through at high difficulty. Great story and love the multiple points of view. Didn't get to play part 1 though Oo Just 2 & 3
Point du hoc does not belong on this list. Just because saving private ryan and point du hoc are based around normandy doesn't mean that point du hoc is ripped from the movie

I don't agree with Pointe Du Hoc being ripped from Saving Private Ryan. Pointe Du Hoc is not the same as Omaha Beach, and the level is very, very different from Saving Private Ryan. In SPR there are no cliffs to scale, and the objective is the bunkers and the causeways leading off the beach, not some captured field guns with the bunkers bypassed and later cleared as only an afterthought. Not to mention the unit is completely different, even historically. Miller and his squad are a part of the 5th Ranger Battalion, which was supposed to land on the Pointe but due to a signalling error went on to Omaha. The character you play as in COD2 is part of the 2nd Ranger Battalion, which did indeed historically land at Pointe Du Hoc. The story of Pointe Du Hoc and Corporal Bill Taylor is actually based on the real-life Sergeant Bill Lomell. Infinity Ward conducted extensive interviews with Lomell and other members of the 2nd Ranger Battalion prior to creating the game.
+MerryJerry I don't think they made it similar to a movie at all. I'm pretty sure they based the missions on the fact that they, you know, actually happened.

belive me or not i was 39years when playing COD stalingrad .(today i am 54 and still gaming) approx. 10 years ago for silvesterparty we visit some friends and in the dvd player he has "enemy at the gates" running on his tv... i came in... see the fountian-scene and for minutes i was so mixedup like dejavue-feelings and kind of flashback... that my woman ask me what the hell i wrong with u... i dont tell anyone... some minutes later i know it was in a game i played long ago... what u think how must old soldiers feel when they have someting like this... if i think about how we germans have treat this mens in the last 50years.... i feel so sad for this (mostly) good man....
When you said that "Whiskey Hotel" and "The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday" also drew inspiration from The Rock, the scenes you showed when you said the mission names were for the other mission.
Viktor Sjögren Reznov is the only important one because he helps Mason escape Vorkuta(however you spell it) and he is referenced in Bo3 zombies in Gorod Krovi.
Number 1 should've been All explosions, lack of plot, and money making results All Michael Bay films Call of Duty Modern Warefare 3 and onwards including Battlefield games from Bad Company 2 onwards and Medal of Honor Warfighter
+CodPatrol Les Grossman They overlooked the fact that when a WW3 happens most of the population and its technology would not have made all the way through. The whole franchise now looks ridiculous with robots, fights in space, battle suits and zombie storylines. Can agree that Menendez was a good villain despite the weird obsession with his sister but ultimately Activision and Infinity Ward and Ubisoft with Assassin's Creed and EA with Battlefield both need to slow down and learn from Rockstar and Rocksteady studios about what makes a good game. Time and focus in development and game's plots
8:02 I remember how excited I was when the first COD came out and how much of an awesome game it was! I stopped playing after Black Ops and haven't touched any of them until WW2 came out, and that didn't last long. It started out as such a good game..

Didn't get to play part 1 though Oo
Just 2 & 3
In all seriousness though, I wouldn't want them to pollute the old classic games with their new cancer engine.
The MW2 one is literally just IW's favorite war movies strung together with something resembling a story. That's why it works.

Nope, watch Saving Private Ryan. Then play cod 2.

Diplomacy
Read shit saying bf5 might be.
you forgot to mention when they copied starwars in black ops 3
How?
lmfao
you mean star wars in the next cod because the next cod will be in space (fucking activision man)
Deviationlark wtf bro why cod?? whyy!!! you used to be cool af lol through in a vietnam
what?
I feel like the boat scene from Finest Hour more fits the Stalingrad boat scene.
Not to mention, the opening firefight in MW2 is similar to a firefight in Generation Kill, with the two armies firing at each other across a river.
I've always wanted another COD game in Vietnam or the Pacific theater of WWII
when cod was actually a respectable game
The old Call Of Duty games are for kids. Call Of Duty Warzone is better than any old Call Of Duty game
@@Yangpeiling-de-zhangfu nah
Ok, a lot of the Stalingrad in WoW is taken from “enemy at the gates”
belive me or not i was 39years when playing COD stalingrad .(today i am 54 and still gaming) approx.
"Don't get killed"
Answer "yes sir"
The Battle of Point du hoc doesn't count, that happened in history and took place on a different landing.
No Call of Duty will beat the hype of Cod 4 & MW2. Hands down best Call of Duty games ever.
WAW best cod ever
+Volcomintality cod classic, united offensive and 2.
Black ops was the best
Guys, guys. OPINIONS
WAW was my favourite. followed by mw and mw2.
"And don't call me Shirley" -- it was a nice touch.

Watchmojo you missed 1 Call of duty Ghost got the Idea of a orbital space weapon that causes earthquakes from GI Joe Retaliation.

The train wreck scene in COD WW2 reminded me of Super 8.
5:33 Haha you did not put censored bad word on cod bo.
stfu
Seal of the Living Raviooly Dumbass
TC TC stfu
ExtremeBassLine STFU
TC TC stfu
When you said that "Whiskey Hotel" and "The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday" also drew inspiration from The Rock, the scenes you showed when you said the mission names were for the other mission.
Now MW 2019 took inspiration from zero dark thirty in the mission "the wolf's den" the first part
Shail Darji the movie “13 Hours”also is mimicked in the mission called “The Embassy”
MW took inspiration from Zero Dark Thirty. Sicario, and 13 hours.
that museum is robotics
8:37 hey look it's Gorod Krovi
Cade Wilson shut up its not that shitty map is nothing compared to a master piece
Cade Wilson negan
Cade Wilson That overrated map on BO3? Oh yeah!
stop getting triggered over an amazing zombies map
BZRK A decent Zombies map. It was the worst in BO3.
Cod 2 didn’t rip that mission out of saving private ryan cause the movie took place at Omaha beach and the game was at Utah
I thought I was the only one who noticed the red dawn/cod ghosts scenes
#2 Call of Duty:Finest Hour did the same thing yet it wasn't mentioned
1:41 i didnt know about Call Of Duty Black Box
It doesn't say Box anywhere
he say Call of Duty Black Box not Ops
Fros78 He said Ops, idk maybe without headphones it sounds like Box
He said Ops lol.
+lukkasz323 no he said box
The 2 Ww2 Scenes were insane! Love it
8:55 "Only other survivor" is actually false, there is a small easter egg showing that a third russian soldier survived in that circle :)
What are you basing this on, if i may ask? If you have some kind of source that is, I'm really interested in checking it out
+Keve Teller callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Daletski
Yea thats right White Knight, Actually didn't know his name was Daleski
Viktor Sjögren Reznov is the only important one because he helps Mason escape Vorkuta(however you spell it) and he is referenced in Bo3 zombies in Gorod Krovi.
There's like only 3 of them on the list that actually resemble parts in movies... the other are just pulling at strings for the similarities >.>
These top ten lists are getting out of control.
All of those call of duty scenes gave me memories of all of those old movies
wow ur car has 4 wheels too? geez stop copying me
you have eyes too!?!?!! see you in court
Oh no buddy my lawyer will get u for having 10 fingers on one hand
Hector Pacheco but we have 4 on our hand.... Lol
Oh ok well ur safe then I'll just get u for having 2 toes on one foot
Hector Pacheco lol
MW2 the Gulag
Who else went for the guy on the left after breaching the wall
I know I did
Does this mean there is a movie that has parts from the movie and put into the game from
Infinite Warfare
Advanced Warfare
Ghosts
And Black ops 3
Now I know why there hasn't been a Call Of Duty Movie yet
+EddieMartinez210 Cod has a movie ya know, Find Makarov:Operation Kingfish, look it up
Sure thing about Infinite Warfare...Star Wars :D
Apparently climbing an ice mountain is ripped out of a movie
Number 1 should've been
All explosions, lack of plot, and money making results
All Michael Bay films
Call of Duty Modern Warefare 3 and onwards including Battlefield games from Bad Company 2 onwards and Medal of Honor Warfighter
Black Ops 2 wasn't good? Fuck off, different endings and one of the best stories, Menendez was the best villain.
Modern Warfare 1 and 2 are such great games. Shame to see this series falling into total disgrace.
Isn't this just inspiration with other steps
8:02 I remember how excited I was when the first COD came out and how much of an awesome game it was! I stopped playing after Black Ops and haven't touched any of them until WW2 came out, and that didn't last long. It started out as such a good game..
