The Maxfans use very little power, around 3-6 amps depending on the speed of the fan - easily replenished by the solar even on a very grey day. They also weigh little more than a standard 40x40 roof vent. 12v AC is stupidly expensive and you'd need to fill your caravan with a hundredweight of lithium batteries and 1000w of solar to recharge it so there would be no space, payload or savings left after fitting one of them :-(
so many gadgets (stuff) we love stuff too and have soooo much now. But love the drying mat so much better than the crappy ones they give you caravans and the collapsible kettle is fab we have the same in pink in the caravan but it needs moving to the camper really. Really enjoyed watching guys 😃
A great selection. Love the big green Box of bits... sue says I have a big gold box full of bits...b( I'm sure I don't know what she means...) know what you mean about the kettle but for me it is the 12v coffee machine... essential. !
There's two ways to do it - the 'proper' way is via the shore-power (16A blue plug) connection but that's not so good for bad weather or security. The other way is just into any standard socket in the van (remember, electricity flows in all directions), so once that socket is energised, all the others on the ring are too. If you wanted to be super-safe, you could install a male commando socket inside the van rather than a regular domestic 3 pin one.
