    Hi Carly, thanks for sharing! Do you do anything to the acrylic before placing the vinyl on? Like clean it with something specific to help the vinyl stick better/last longer?

    • @CarlyKeller
      @CarlyKeller  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Chris! Thanks for watching! Its best to not use cleaners before applying vinyl. I like using a duster (like the Swiffer heavy duty kind) to help get any dust particles out of the way

    Hi Carly, this is a great video. What setting do you use when you cut your vinyl? I cannot seem to get my vinyl to cut deep enough so that when I weed, the negative vinyl comes right off, it's always a bit of a battle for me. My Cricut is also brand new. What setting do you use for the vinyl number wise and do you keep it on the default, more or less setting?
    Thanks in advance, much appreciated.

      Hi Stenny, you should be able to use the Cricut Joy for smaller vinyl decals like this! You can use polycrylic if you want to seal the paint

    So after I painted the hexagons with acrylic paint, I let them dry about 3 days, then stacked them back in the box. Opened the box a couple days later to put on the vinyl and the hexagons were all stuck together. When I took them apart some of the paint would be on the back of the hexagon it was on top of. Do you know a way to prevent this from happening? Is this what the poly acrylic seal is for?

    • @CarlyKeller
      @CarlyKeller  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh no! I've shipped these with no issue but had them individually wrapped in tissue. Maybe your paint felt dry, but wasn't totally cured? You'd still need to wait for your paint to cure to add the polycrylic.

    hi! would you say the best way then for 180 pieces would be make the shape and then write out all names and size too?

    • @CarlyKeller
      @CarlyKeller  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Katie! For that many names I'd copy+paste them into a program like Inkspace, using the union function so your letters will be connected, getting to skip the welding process in Cricut. Save that as a vector image/SVG. You'll then be able to upload that image to Cricut Design Space and will need to slice each name out, but I still think that will be faster than welding each letter by hand. I hope that makes sense! My next large order I'll make a tutorial :)
