All the people in the comments being so salty about the guy missing a few places, come on. He still covered a ton of places, food and experiences. Might have missed a few but he deserves credit for covering and showing so much. So many other TH-camrs just go to one place and come back. He went to so many areas and lived, ate and experienced every cultural stuff possible. He deserves appreciation.

I was lucky to visit Kerala. I love greenery and always wanted to visit such a place. We started from north Kerala and ended our trip in south Kerala. Of course we were short of time and it's not possible to cover everything. But still we manage to visit Kochi, Munnar, Wayanad, Thekkady, Alappuzha and Trivandrum.
I think this video is a class about all type of Kerala food 😂

David did a food tour. And that is why it was so good focused. But if you go to Kerala the vast variety of food, topography, culture and history is something that you should experience and enjoy.
I think this video is about 10 food destination 😂. But yes the food carries a big part in Kerala culture.
He just completely skipped Thrissur,Palakkad and Malappuram districts. There is a lot of cultural importance for all three of these districts in Kerala. All three of them has their own intricacies for you. He just booked an itinerary in a travel company and just went through kerala. It's just sad that you guys are not experiencing the real Kerala as it is.
Even the governments over the years skip Malappuram district, lol😂.

I'm from Malappuram, but I don't think there's a proper tourist location in Malappuram dist. Palakkad and Thrissur has places to visit
It's not about tourist destinations guys. They just won't be able to appreciate the real beauty of the different cultures of kerala. Palakkad and Malappuram also has works of art. Tharavaadukal,rivers,villages. There are so much of that beauty to explore.
And the kadhakali shown in that video is nothing but a gimmick for tourists Just like innocent in the movie pattalam. It's just my POV.
@25:22 He mentioned "Pothu" first (where Korbin repeated the word) and later he mentioned Puttu. Pothu one is buffalo (curry) and Puttu is a dish made out of rice flour that is eaten with some kind of gravy/curry.

Davidsbeenhere is more of a food channel than travel. Kerala cuisine is probably his favourite.

Thrissur- Thrissur pooram, Athirapally waterfall(Bahubali film)
Wayanad - Major hill station in Kerala, waterfalls, Ancient caves, bordered with Karnataka and Tamil Nadu(Don't know how he missed this)
Malappuram- Food, Teak Museum
Kottayam- Hill stations and View points, City of Letters
Palakkad- Silent valley, Parambikulam, Nelliampathy
Pathanamthitta- Sabarimala, Aranmula, Gavi
Add Ranipuram, Kasaragod, Vagamon, Malom and Quilon
Missing the beautiful WAYANAD of kerala in this video.
The state that can be said to represent a miniature version of the diversity of India in terms of topography, is West Bengal. I am saying this being unbiased. West Bengal has snowy Himalayas as well as the coasts of Bay of Bengal....the tropical beaches and the tallest of the snowy peaks are just a 12 hr train ride apart, which is insane.
And then you also have flood plains,dry central Indian plateau, smaller highlands, doars terai jungles, savannas and mangrove swamps, islands, the Ganges...basically everything except a desert
The best part is that he's living a full Indian life here, completely blended in, leaving no stone unturned. His sincerity has really touched our hearts.
Every district and city in Kerala has something to explore

He did an amazing job! For tourists its tough to cover everything. I have never been able to cover any place , not to a fraction of what he did here, while touring. Surprised he was able to cover so much of kerala and to get so much facts.

Looks like Palakkad, Malappuram and Thrissur don't even exist. Most tourists don't even visit Malappuram and Palakkad districts for no reason what so ever.
And yah, most people don't know the number of epic dishes in Kerala.

I got to say something... I think he visited kerala without exploring. He just googled destinations and just went where google told him to go. He did get somethings right,but some of his experiences were just gimmicks to attract tourists. You guys want to explore kerala you come to kerala just explore it yourselves. Just do your homework of the places you want to go. When you reach there just ask the help of locals. Then only you can explore kerala as the way it is.

Puttu is a steamed rice powder cake made with just a dash of salt and lots of coconut. Aappam is similar to dosa, but very distinct in its flavour and taste

I am from Kerala but I have to say when it comes to natural beauty Kerala is not even close compared to northern most states like Kashmir-Leh, Uttarakhand, Himachal etc especially the Himalayas the snow capped mountains are a sight to behold

India is 1/4th of United States as per area. Also India has Sundarbans, a river delta that gives you forest and river islands which is unique.

Kerala has received the tag line amongst the top places within Asia especially for the tourism comparing any other state in India. So when it comes to food also, each district has a huge prominence for food especially in Kerala only. If you take other states in India, you will find exclusiveness for food within few cities. But due to the extreme diversity with regard to cast and religion, were people live in harmony 95% of the time. Comparing any other state in India, Kerala has more secularism which gradually emerged in the growth of class, education, culture and food as well..
That's why Kerala is known to be almost 100% literate state. Even during covid, Kerala proved as to what happens, with regard to being the only state giving priority and importance for Health along with Education during its establishment. Where as other states core growth, was through Industrialisation or any other forms to get revenue only.
oh! if you had noticed something very interesting thing in this video with regard to Food, again comparing other states. Serving of dishes like Beef/Buffalo is a common and non restricted food throughout the state. Which is some thing, that an entire state or city in India is not allowed to do so, just like than due to restrictions. Regardless India is the largest exporter for Beef meat!

those food items he mentioned is only 45% just think about it. my favourite thing on kerala is it has the first mosque of india Cheraman Juma Masjid at Kodungallur in 629 A.D built by malik ibn dinar but sadly we can't see that same structure today because British got very scared that many people are converting to muslims on their own with the help of this mosque so they destroyed and that mosque also played as a place to come together with any religious people. now you can see the rebuilding of that mosque but it look similar

As a true malayalee HOSS I can definitely tell you that those pronunciations are bruised and battered 😂. But he is still a true malayalee HOSS just like any of us and he has definitely been to more places in Kerala than I have.

I am an Indian who was born in Kerala and I have been living in USA for the past 6 years and have been to different places in USA. I would like to add to something what Korbin said. Yes USA could be the largest country land in terms of geographically diverse but India has got all the geographical diversity when compared to USA may be much much more than that (Mountains, Ocean, Backwaters, forest, Desert, Salt flats, glacier, volcano, River, islands etc etc). The only one thing i believed to be non existent in India was hot spring which i came recently came to know that its there in Ladakh . So interms of Diversity, i believe nothing beats India
