All the people in the comments being so salty about the guy missing a few places, come on. He still covered a ton of places, food and experiences. Might have missed a few but he deserves credit for covering and showing so much. So many other TH-camrs just go to one place and come back. He went to so many areas and lived, ate and experienced every cultural stuff possible. He deserves appreciation.
Kerala has won the distinction of being the third popular tourist destination in Asia. It was revealed at a survey conducted by Smart Travel Asia Travel Magazine. Bali and Phuket in Thailand are in the first and second places.
Yeah, though it has only recently been able come out from under the shadow of the overrated triangle. Maybe more lesser travelled to destinations will be made more accessible as the country progresses.
I think you seen some" kantara" kind of art form that's Theyyam. Southern part of Karnataka and Northern part of Kerala has so many similarities related to culture❤️.
I was lucky to visit Kerala. I love greenery and always wanted to visit such a place. We started from north Kerala and ended our trip in south Kerala. Of course we were short of time and it's not possible to cover everything. But still we manage to visit Kochi, Munnar, Wayanad, Thekkady, Alappuzha and Trivandrum.
Few things to see in other districts in Kerala, which are not mentioned in the video. Thrissur- Thrissur pooram, Athirapally waterfall(Bahubali film) Wayanad - Major hill station in Kerala, waterfalls, Ancient caves, bordered with Karnataka and Tamil Nadu(Don't know how he missed this) Malappuram- Food, Teak Museum Kottayam- Hill stations and View points, City of Letters Palakkad- Silent valley, Parambikulam, Nelliampathy Pathanamthitta- Sabarimala, Aranmula, Gavi
He just completely skipped Thrissur,Palakkad and Malappuram districts. There is a lot of cultural importance for all three of these districts in Kerala. All three of them has their own intricacies for you. He just booked an itinerary in a travel company and just went through kerala. It's just sad that you guys are not experiencing the real Kerala as it is.
It's not about tourist destinations guys. They just won't be able to appreciate the real beauty of the different cultures of kerala. Palakkad and Malappuram also has works of art. Tharavaadukal, rivers, villages. There are so much of that beauty to explore.
@25:22 He mentioned "Pothu" first (where Korbin repeated the word) and later he mentioned Puttu. Pothu one is buffalo (curry) and Puttu is a dish made out of rice flour that is eaten with some kind of gravy/curry.
David did a food tour. And that is why it was so good focused. But if you go to Kerala the vast variety of food, topography, culture and history is something that you should experience and enjoy.
The best part is that he's living a full Indian life here, completely blended in, leaving no stone unturned. His sincerity has really touched our hearts.
The state that can be said to represent a miniature version of the diversity of India in terms of topography, is West Bengal. I am saying this being unbiased. West Bengal has snowy Himalayas as well as the coasts of Bay of Bengal....the tropical beaches and the tallest of the snowy peaks are just a 12 hr train ride apart, which is insane. And then you also have flood plains, dry central Indian plateau, smaller highlands, doars terai jungles, savannas and mangrove swamps, islands, the Ganges...basically everything except a desert
I got to say something... I think he visited kerala without exploring. He just googled destinations and just went where google told him to go. He did get somethings right, but some of his experiences were just gimmicks to attract tourists. You guys want to explore kerala you come to kerala just explore it yourselves. Just do your homework of the places you want to go. When you reach there just ask the help of locals. Then only you can explore kerala as the way it is.
The world's largest bird sculpture; Jatayu Earth Center, also known as Jatayu Nature Park or Jatayu Rock, is a park and tourism centre at Chadayamangalam in Kollam district of Kerala.
Looks like Palakkad, Malappuram and Thrissur don't even exist. Most tourists don't even visit Malappuram and Palakkad districts for no reason what so ever.
He did an amazing job! For tourists its tough to cover everything. I have never been able to cover any place , not to a fraction of what he did here, while touring. Surprised he was able to cover so much of kerala and to get so much facts.
Puttu is a steamed rice powder cake made with just a dash of salt and lots of coconut. Aappam is similar to dosa, but very distinct in its flavour and taste
I am from Kerala but I have to say when it comes to natural beauty Kerala is not even close compared to northern most states like Kashmir-Leh, Uttarakhand, Himachal etc especially the Himalayas the snow capped mountains are a sight to behold Kerala has better infrastructure in tourism that's it
@☞ོ☜ོ 66 years ago because you may not have noticed that the person reacting to the video are from USA. The video they are reacting to are from India. If I give them an example from India they may not understand as well as if I use USA for scale. No worries you will understand someday. Just practice thinking rather than typing mindlessly.
David is the only foreigner whose video I like very much I am missing him very much his way of making video is very good he just in one video all about the whole kerala and its culture and food Shows he has spent a lot of time here with his friend who loves Indian Biryani and is from Venezuela.
Kerala has received the tag line amongst the top places within Asia especially for the tourism comparing any other state in India. So when it comes to food also, each district has a huge prominence for food especially in Kerala only. If you take other states in India, you will find exclusiveness for food within few cities. But due to the extreme diversity with regard to cast and religion, were people live in harmony 95% of the time. Comparing any other state in India, Kerala has more secularism which gradually emerged in the growth of class, education, culture and food as well.. That's why Kerala is known to be almost 100% literate state. Even during covid, Kerala proved as to what happens, with regard to being the only state giving priority and importance for Health along with Education during its establishment. Where as other states core growth, was through Industrialisation or any other forms to get revenue only. oh! if you had noticed something very interesting thing in this video with regard to Food, again comparing other states. Serving of dishes like Beef/Buffalo is a common and non restricted food throughout the state. Which is some thing, that an entire state or city in India is not allowed to do so, just like than due to restrictions. Regardless India is the largest exporter for Beef meat!
India is a complete world in itself 🇮🇳 I love my India and am proud to be Indian🇮🇳🚩🚩 There is so much to visit so many cultures so many dishes so many musics so many dances so many languages and so much to offer 🙏🙏🙏 That's why we call it Incredible India ❤️🚩🇮🇳 and we haven't imported anything we are original in so many things
those food items he mentioned is only 45% just think about it. my favourite thing on kerala is it has the first mosque of india Cheraman Juma Masjid at Kodungallur in 629 A.D built by malik ibn dinar but sadly we can't see that same structure today because British got very scared that many people are converting to muslims on their own with the help of this mosque so they destroyed and that mosque also played as a place to come together with any religious people. now you can see the rebuilding of that mosque but it look similar
Yes we are Indian know to our culture ,food ,history , architect, temple and lots of historical places in india.we know how we can make a food to tasty, delicious, amezing and diffrent type to cook.we Hove lots of knowledge about food and diffrent way to cook food
I live close to southern part of Kerala Kollam that bird sculpture you saw is close to my place and the paragliding hill beach Varkala also close to my place. ❤️
The guy is a food vlogger! 😀 What do u expect! He has been across India extensively esply doing Food, Food ,Food..... He visits again and again. Kerala food is excellent with Coconut milk and all form of coconut, Banana, Jackfruit, fish and all sea creatures.
I am an Indian who was born in Kerala and I have been living in USA for the past 6 years and have been to different places in USA. I would like to add to something what Korbin said. Yes USA could be the largest country land in terms of geographically diverse but India has got all the geographical diversity when compared to USA may be much much more than that (Mountains, Ocean, Backwaters, forest, Desert, Salt flats, glacier, volcano, River, islands etc etc). The only one thing i believed to be non existent in India was hot spring which i came recently came to know that its there in Ladakh . So interms of Diversity, i believe nothing beats India
India have everything . Beaches, deserts,Snow, mountains, hills, back waters, wastelands, different types of jungles. & Flaura & fauna that no other countries can offer. Tigers,Lions in one country 🌝😌 Leopards, snow leopards (now cheettas too)bears, elephants, rhinos etc etc.
Yeah he nailed it by butchering every single malayalam pronunciation, korbanised in 100x level. But he did a great job by covering almost all part of Kerala, especially the food part.
As a true malayalee HOSS I can definitely tell you that those pronunciations are bruised and battered 😂. But he is still a true malayalee HOSS just like any of us and he has definitely been to more places in Kerala than I have.

Trust me Rick. He is butchering every single Malalyalam pronunciation. Much worse than Korbin I would say. Lol.
Particularly the 'zh'
But that's ok, we should appreciate for them trying...
@@karthikkarunakaranmenon6785 Of course. Brownie points for effort always.
He is very confident in pronouncing, but far from accurate
David's been to more places in Kerala than any of us keralites did in our lifetimes 😂.
True😂😂

Yep
His companion is a food vlogger.
Yaa ..

Wayanad? Malappuram?
I'm from Malappuram, but I don't think there's a proper tourist location in Malappuram dist. Palakkad and Thrissur has places to visit

Missing the beautiful WAYANAD of kerala in this video.

Definitely visit Kerala, the most beautiful places are in Kerala, the most delicious food is there, don't miss it, the people are also very nice
