My new years resolution is to eat better and exercise more. I was doing great until the holidays. Here the food is really rich and desserts are crazy. Gotta love the south. I live in NC. Living here is like living in another the country. Try some southern food. It will knock your socks off.

Theo Ty Cambodia is much cheaper than Thailand. however you can also use Thai Baht in Cambodia. What Mina didn't mention was you can actually use USD, Thai Baht, Vietnamese Dong and Khmer Riel. Soon we'll also use Chinese Yuan.

If you take money out of an ATM it will give you USD, phone plans are priced in USD, all large purchases (electronics, bikes, houses) are USD. The exchange rate is pretty much fixed at 4000=$1 and the two currencies are completely interchangeable, so if something is priced at $7.50 you can give over $5, $1, 5000R and 1000R = $7.50, or 30,000R.
