NEW SUBSCRIBER: Self-worth isn’t determined by your job title, your bank account, or the number of likes on your latest post. It’s about how you perceive yourself and the value you place on who you are. First, let’s talk about self-acceptance. Embracing your flaws and recognizing your strengths is crucial. You are unique, and that uniqueness brings value to the world. Remember, no one else can offer what you can. Next, consider your values. What principles guide your life? When you live in alignment with your values, you cultivate a sense of integrity that boosts your self-worth. It’s about being true to yourself and making choices that reflect who you really are. Another key point is the importance of relationships. Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you. Healthy connections reinforce your worth and remind you of the positive impact you have on others. Now, let’s not forget resilience. Life will throw challenges your way. How you respond to setbacks shapes your self-image. Embrace failures as learning opportunities; they don’t define you but rather refine you. Lastly, practice self-compassion. Treat yourself with kindness, just as you would a friend. Acknowledge that everyone makes mistakes and that it’s okay to not be perfect. Your self-worth comes from within. It’s about self-acceptance, living by your values, nurturing positive relationships, building resilience, and showing yourself compassion. Remember, you are worthy simply because you exist. Own it! I LOVE YOU and so does JEHOVAH and JESUS CHRIST.
I really appreciate how you emphasized surrounding yourself with the right people. Life throws challenges at all of us, but like you said, it’s how we respond and keep moving forward that really counts. Much respect!
I find that my Self-Worth is tied to my emotional state which fluctuates (more often than I'd like haha). So, I've tried to find something more logical to calculate my Self-Worth. What are my values which do not fluctuate in my little emotional heart. And for that, it took years of contemplating external factors that shaped my thinking, influenced my actions and warped my sense of reality. And after all of that, the most profound thing I found for myself in my understanding of my value, is humanity. I try to make conscious decisions, to make a difference, however small or imperceptible, to move the needle of humanity ever so slightly in a positive direction. Yes, my beliefs and views of positive which may not be the same as others, but I'm trying to move things forward to help others. I fail at it, often lol, but that is where the self-worth gets emotionally hit, but my self-value stays the same because I continue to make a decision to be better and help others as best I know how. If I know that, relatively speaking, my short time on the stage of life had a positive impact vs. if I never existed, I would die happy knowing I helped the future humans push forward, just a bit.
I feel you on that struggle between fluctuating feelings and the bigger picture of making a positive impact. Honestly, the fact that you’re even thinking this way shows just how much value you’re bringing.
Thanom, I am much older than you, and have completely different circumstances, and yet I feel like we are kindred spirits. I, too, am an ex-bethelite (80's and 90's) and I am currently pimo. I don't see a way out at the moment with my family and business ties. And yet, like you, I delved deeply into the personal development arena when I woke up. We all have stories of struggle and pain, not all directly caused by the WT, but everything we do is processed through the WT lens. Understanding how our mind actually works as opposed to how the GB tells us it should work (study, prayer, service, meetings, rinse lather and repeat) is the first step to dealing with our issues. I enjoy your channel and look forward to many more to come.
@@barnyfife335 Man what you said truly resonates. Not everything was caused by WT(I actually wish more people would admit this),but we were hamstrung by WT goggles I’m documenting my removal of those lens. But if anything has helped you along the way, please share ✊
Did the whole Covid Vaccine push affect you or anyone you knew negatively? There was a great dividing in the congregations that took place at that time when they were pushing it, while at the same time calling it a personal choice.
