that fact that this band has not let up since me listening to them in middle school is the best thing about ABR. Stay the same and slay as always mates.
Look at that smile! 3:41 :D He's just so happy he gets to play the most awesome segment of a song and that smile is just so great to see. He composed it, people fuckng LOVE it. What a feeling he must have!
I don't know about you but between 0.00 and 4.54 that guy doens´t make me feel bad about religions or whatever... so whatever he is doin´ what ever he might be prayin´ to, let him do it. He doesn't do any harm. On my behalf, if you can't do it without your beliefs, don't friggin do it.. Teddy Engelke
this video has NO comparison to seeing them live. Seeing them live is probably about 100,000 times better than this recording. Apart from the musical experience its is a spiritual one, and the passion this band has for their music is definitely felt a lot more when you see them live.
He walked by me coming out of the Newport Music Hall in Columbus Ohio on Wednesday. Also, I highly recommend anyone to see this band live. Not only are they great musicians, but they're extremely polite and nice people!
I have been listening to these guys since the early 2000s like top 5 bands ever in my book. My wife bought me tickets for the leveler tour last year with the meet and greet in Seattle. They were the kindest, humblest, sweetest, dudes. We talked for a min and Matt even signed some drum sticks for my friend back home cause he says "he's the best to ever play drums"
@Aldrin8ter22 The intro is in 5/4; everyone in the audience was clapping in 4/4. If you listen, you can hear it. I do have a sense of rhythm (seeing that I noticed that), a room full of people CAN be wrong (about anything, essentially), and the "all-mighty correctly clap-to-intro guy" comment is irrelevant to your argument.
It's the time signature, meaning that for every measure in the sheet music, there are 5 (hence the numerator) quarter notes (hence the denominator), basically. There's really more to it, but there's the basics for you. Hope this helped!
Respond to this video... I saw them when they came here to alaska, they were amazing, even his vocals they sounded fine. I'm willing to bet he was sick during this performance.
Really? I didn't know that, thank you for pointing the obvious out to me. A good vocalist should be able to perform the same live as they do on the studio version.
Guys the audience is clapping mostly correctly. Listen to the China at 1:14, it's at the same beat as the audience's clapping. But as always theirs people who don't do it right and it fell apart.
it doesnt matter what you believe in if you came here for the music. just because you believe in god it doesnt hinder your ability to write amazing music. ABR is on top of their game right now they right fantastic music.. i dont believe in god nor am i religious... but thats not gonna sway the way i perceive this band. i hope they have many more albums to come and keep on rocking
What I love the most about ABR, is that they are not afraid to worship, especially Jake. He's always there talking about Christ and how his life was a mess, and now it's where it should be: Playing Christian music for the world.
i appreciate the fact that this band stands for something, something positive. a lot of bands are missing that quality these days.. 100% respect from me here
@jesslaker That's because heavy music requires headbanging, and after many hours of headbanging to awesome music you develope a basic understanding of rhythm that most pop fans don't comprehend haha!
People always say they would like songs better without screaming and I still disagree. The screaming complements the character of the song. The song would not sound as intense as they like it without the screaming. Me personally, I love the screaming, it fires me up.
Wow, a crowd clapping mostly in time to a beat in 5.
Right? I was impressed as well, usually it falls to shit almost right away.
I find it so hard to believe that this is live footage - it sounds identical to the recording. Such talented men.
The intro to this song.. Goosebumps, man. Goosebumps every damn time..
2021, and still listening to this gem! 🤘
that fact that this band has not let up since me listening to them in middle school is the best thing about ABR. Stay the same and slay as always mates.
the whole end of the song is genius awesome guitar parts and the slow change from 5/4 to 4/4 is f"""ing genius. one of my favorite songs of all time.
Flagship song of not only ABR, but the Metalcore genre, forever and ever.
Look at that smile! 3:41 :D He's just so happy he gets to play the most awesome segment of a song and that smile is just so great to see. He composed it, people fuckng LOVE it. What a feeling he must have!
its amazing to see such a famous band in the style of music that i for one love worshiping God like that. Keep it up ABR!
the perfect breakdown
03:42 that expression when your favorite part kicks in.
Awesome performance.
ABR ROCKS!!!!
This is one my favorite songs by ABR. Jake's voice sounds tired in here. But I'm sure every vocalist has those shows. ABR forever!!!
Teddy Engelke
drives me up the frickin wall when people feel the need to clap like that

I wouldn't be able to preform to it. It'd throw me off beat
Got some IEM's dude. Don't worry haha
@@CasperTheGhost64 luckily they have in ear monitors to help with that

That was by far the best carrot/nutrition commercial the FDA ever put out.
The transitional breakdown from 3:17 til the end is freaking amazing!
He improved ALOT recently. He has so much more power behind his voice and he doesnt die out at all.

In my opinion, the breakdown @ 3:44 is one of the best ever made!
GREAT BASSIST , GREAT GUITARS, GREAT DRUMMER, GREAT VOCALIST . love it ABR
Hope all you legends are still rocking this materpiece in 2023
I feel the EXACT SAME WAY man. Thats how ive always felt about this music. I feel like the screaming is showing that theres more emotion to the song.
Get chills just listening to the beginning!
Epic breakdown is epic.
When your bassists vocals are far better that day than the vocalist...
When you play a show severely sick and try your best.
Jake is also older than Dustin
@@mauricemotors8207 Tru
@@Lodgic94 We know Jake is not the best vocalist out there but we still love ABR.
fucking sick!!!!!!!!! i love this shit.
Im headbanging so hard right now, haha
guitar sound is perfect!
They hadn't written one like it and they freakin' should!!! My FAVE!
This is as good as it gets

I directed the production of this DVD, videography and photography and... i'm just dreaming! Keep slammin' y'all! lmL
@jimAYYE1 its an RGA121 by Ibanez. Custom paint and white EMG pickups. The RGA121 is discontinued but there are still lots of other sick RGA models.
It's the time signature, meaning that for every measure in the sheet music, there are 5 (hence the numerator) quarter notes (hence the denominator), basically. There's really more to it, but there's the basics for you. Hope this helped!
Got the chills, damn.
minha banda preferida!

Respond to this video... I saw them when they came here to alaska, they were amazing, even his vocals they sounded fine. I'm willing to bet he was sick during this performance.
August Burns Red is so goddamnned heavy
OMG the guitars sound orgasmic on this live song!
Really? I didn't know that, thank you for pointing the obvious out to me. A good vocalist should be able to perform the same live as they do on the studio version.
my fave song by them
This song is epic no other way to put it

3:44 makes me tingle :'D

Hell I cannot even fathom the sheer brutality of that show..

@IamAtree000001 Yeah. It's called "Leveler". It's coming out this summer.

JB is a master.
I think the breakdown at the end sounds better live than on the album.

So fucking amazing 🥹
Rev Productions?... o.O Jimmy, is that you?

Xalexcore818X i did the same , next moment police surrounded me😂😂😂
@jesslaker That's because heavy music requires headbanging, and after many hours of headbanging to awesome music you develope a basic understanding of rhythm that most pop fans don't comprehend haha!
Dear god, this band is fucking sick. JB and Matt are such bosses. Sooooooooooo can't wait for Leveler to come out :D
*Yes*
