    What did you think of Brentford's stadium? Would you be happy with that kind of facility for when AFCB eventually look to move? Or do we need to cater for more than 17,500?

    As a Brentford fan I think that was poor atmosphere by our standards but down the other end the atmosphere is way better and normally is everywhere in the stadium

    Bees fan here. I've sat in all areas of the ground and we definitely struggle to get anything going in the East Stand, where away fans sit. Away fans are almost always dominating the noise at that end. The folks that sit in there change alot, so there's never really a hardcore there to get the songs going. Main singers sit West stand but ive been to games where both sets insist they were loud but neither could hear eachother during the game. Unless the whole ground is bouncing, it can be a struggle sometimes

    Just an idea, for our home games pre atmosphere, play 'thunderstruck' ac/dc, when botto is revving up the crowd. Think it will work?

    Good review lads although I think you guys need to up your pre-match pub game! No excuses. Loads to choose from on every approach to the ground, all away friendly. As for the noise, I thought it was decent but it was obvious early on it was likely to be one of those days with us missing a few sitters so maybe that played a part. I sit down your end and I could hear the West Stand loud enough. Having said that I think we could do with an Iraiola type of chant which is catchy, upbeat and easy to sing on repeat.

    One of the best grounds imo, I think when we expand our ground we need to aim for something similar to that Gtech stadium

    (Brentford fan) Over the last couple seasons I’ve noticed we’re not very loud at home matches. We have the one section on the opposite end to the away fans who will sing and chant at times. But the majority of the stadium stays fairly quiet. The increase in stadium capacity may have some part to play. The two sections right next to the away area have a lot more neutrals which is why you won’t hear much singing close to you. If memory serves me correctly it felt like Griffin Park had more noise. But I honestly don’t think our fanbase is the loud diehard type, we’re pretty relaxed and casual the majority of the time.

    Have to agree about the atmosphere. I could see that the other end looked lively, but because the away support was so good I couldn't hear the home fans. The exception was briefly after they scored the equaliser. Lovely stadium though and nice interactions with Brentford fans.

    You guys should try The Express Tavern that's virtually next to the ground; much larger and has all the sports, and totally away-friendly though it can get insanely busy as a result

    Hi! Backofthenetteam. I think your assesment of the Gtech Brentford Crowd is a Bit "warped". Think Both home/Away Crowd where 100%.

    Wonderfully British tier list categories. The second best category = 'happy enough', eh, it's alright. The american version of the same category "Yeah!!! Awesome. Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

    Just noticed you’re in Liverpool for the Everton game on October the 7th. Remember St Domingo’s Carpark St Domingo Rd, Hodder St, Liverpool L5 ORT, £10 secure parking and lots of spaces if you’re the in good time before the kick off.

    As a Brentford fan, I was in the east stand next you lot away, and as much as me and my friends tried to start the atmosphere it didn’t work, the east stand is very touristy unfortunately, but I heard from others in the west stand that it was loud, but fair play to Bournemouth fans you were great

      It's the same in our home stadium too. In both the Steve Fletcher stand (North) and the Ted MacDougall stand (South) which we affectionately call the Ted Shed we are always loud and proud. In the two main stands West and East, especially the West (Main stand) their quiet, but then the West stand is where the corporate posh seats are located, and these supporters rarely sing lol

    The west stand at Brentford Gtech community stadium is was rocking in every home game but I only heard Bournemouth fans before the first half we could not heard your Bournemouth fans in the Brentford away End

    The view from the side ( block 20) was not as great, had to stand in my tip toes to see what was happening the other end. Still enjoyed it though! 🍒

    I would suppose the "rocking" comment came from the injury time equaliser that felt like a winner. To be blunt it wasn't a great game, Brentford should have won comfortably, and it quietens the crowd when the team play badly.

    • @ianm408
      @ianm408 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's weird. Because I thought it was a really interesting end to end match. I thought Brentford played well too and should have won.
      I was surprised the crowd was quiet.
      You can't say a game is bad because you don't win.

    • @dancaseyx
      @dancaseyx ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ianm408 I didn't say the game was bad, I said it wasn't a great game. I also said the crowd were quiet because the team wasn't delivering (when I said should have won, I didn't mean they played well - I meant they played badly and on another day they would have converted multiple chances they spurned). Quietness is a better reaction than some crowds who out rightly boo or create a toxic atmosphere for their team.

    Agree 100% on the accessible platform fab view. Pity about the mickey mouse accessible lift out side that once again broke down leaving 5 ambulant disabled stuck inside. Thank fully common sense prevailed and they eventually let the wheelchair users leave via the level access around the out side of the stadium
