Maggie being really into baking really makes me want to have her on without a recipe. Her Becky, Matt and someone else should be on the show because I know they all have a general knowledge of cooking and it would be nice to see a product that isn't completely chaotic. Can you please press for that?
WAR with the try partners is something I’d watch.
Kwesi’s wife would be a perfect 4th competitor
@@happyowl08I can see Maggie or someone who has good cooking knowledge but isn’t Kwesi’s wife a literal pastry chef? That would be too much experience imo
rachel should be the fourth person hahaha
the try guys are the judges- its becky, matt, maggie and rainie as the competitors.
or vice versa. partners as the judges- the try guys and miles as the competitors
I love the silly side of Kwesi but hearing him talk in contexts like this makes me realize how insightful he can be, too. Great guest!
I want him to be part of the TryPod! He gives great insight and is so silly and sweet.
Kwesi's gratitude in the beginning really made me pause and evaluate all I have to be grateful for.
Kwesi is such a cool mixed bag of a human. He knocks it out of the park with being hilarious, all the random things he does, working super hard, and being crazy insightful.
I didn’t realize how little I knew about Kwesi until this episode! I had a great time learning about him, his experiences, and his perspective on things.
I LOVE Kwesi. He's sooo cool, the masculine straight but pure *good* energy is so interesting 🙌🏼
🤯I’ve loved Kwesi in Try Guys videos for years, and I never looked into his career but I always assumed he came from a performance background. He’s so great on video, his charisma and on screen presence are so strong I never even questioned it. The fact that the Try Guys was his first on screen experience is blowing my mind. This is having me question everything I think I know in life! 🤯
Kwesi NEEDS a podcast omg what a smart, wise, and well spoken human! of course already knew he was funny but it’s cool to see this side of him !
i love how much kwesi energy matches people. without a recipe- chaotic, the podcast-calm
i also love how he is very inclusive of everyone in the space, making sure everyone feels seen and heard. and how insightful he can be. something we didnt see when he was silly on the main channel baking episodes.
Kwesi speaking on gratitude when asked what he’s proud about says it all ❤ good dude
I’m so glad Kwesi shared the joy/sadness of the John Lewis Christmas ads with the world - they’re so good and definitely tear worthy almost every year!
I love how silly and goofy Kwesi is, but it's amazing to see a different side of him as well. He is very insightful and such a kind person. I think Kwesi and his wife are such amazing people!
This pod made me weirdly emotional. We always just see Kwesi as the funny guy. Getting to see this side was so nice and refreshing really. He seems like the most genuine, kind, humble, most grateful human. I loved getting to learn more about him and what makes him who he is. Thank you Kwesi for sharing, we loved getting to learn more about you!
I loved “getting to know” Kwesi a bit more. He always brings me joy wherever he pops up!
This episode was awesome, not only did we learn about Kwesi and what he will be up to next year, but also got some valuable advice and insights on life.
This was honestly my favourite episode so far. Kwesi is so interesting to listen to.
Clicked so fast cuz of Kwesi!! Very excited to watch!
I love how thoughtful Kwesi is with everything they talked about felt very engaging, great episode!
okay but i need to know more about Kwesi’s thing with commercials! idk he loves commercials! there needs to be a commercial trivia video starring Kwesi
Just Kwesi getting asked questions about commercials for 20 mins 🤣, I’d watch
Starting a petition to get Kwesi directing next Christmas’ John Lewis advert 👌
OK we always knew that Kwesi was a sweet angel baby, so hilarious, so real but philosopher Kwesi is a *vibe* and I am here for it.
"Kwesi boy..." I can hear it! From Trinidad, love you, proud of you and grateful for your representation ♥
I didn’t think I could love Kwesi anymore than I already did omggg 🤣🤣🤣. Dead over his crazy traveling story
This episode really endeared me to Kwesi. Thanks for having him on, team.
Yasss Kwesi James! Love getting to know more about him. I’m glad he’s being on camera more with The Try Guys. He brings all the good vibes.
Marrisa next as a guest please. Love her at this year’s WAR!
Kwesi is so amazing! I've always enjoyed what he brings to videos and I loved getting to hear more from him! What a great pod!!!
I absolutely enjoy Kwesi on any of the Try Guy's channels. Such a good human being. Wonderful energy that really seems genuine. More of Kwesi being Kwesi and saying Kwesi things😊
ok Maggie's outfit and hair are FIRE in this episode!
Yes, I was thinking the same thing!
I love this. Kwesi is one of my favorites. I want this for all the other free lancers(?) we see on try guys!
Floored that the Nike commercial Kwesi mentioned is the one that was shot in front of my parents’ house (in Ohio.) They came home and there was a blacked out Porsche with a camera rig on top parked in their driveway tracking that kid running down the road!
So I put this on to listen to on the drive to work today I get to work and finally seeing them and the first glance of Maggie and Matt they look like they are dressed for the 50s so that through me off but love you Kwesi. We all love having you
2 min in and I RAN to TH-cam to comment. Being from South Atlanta & moving into my new place I ALSO noticed the toilet paper holder. Stared at if the other day and felt so blessed and like I’ve made it so far in life 🫶🏽 resuming podcast now 😂 love Kwesi
This episode was so wholesome ❤
I know he is a straight man, but I have had a big ole crush on Kwesi since I first saw him on BuzzFeed, his wife is one lucky lady. And to be fair, he is lucky as well, because she is also a lovely lady
I really enjoyed this so much!! Loved getting to know Kwesi’s story!! Nice job!!
Kwesi is the voice of millennials. We’re very cool, okay
📠
I'm pretty solidly gen z(22) and fully remember that ringtone. hopefully the dude was telling the truth bc if so, kwesi met an icon
i didnt know how cultured and renowned kwesi is hes so social and funny that it undermines his lifestories
Becky is a good at saying something completely wrong, confidently. Haha. First about Gen X, then about hot chicken. A black man Thornton Prince started making Nashville hot chicken in the 1930s, and his business Prince's Hot Chicken Shack has been carried on by his family ever since. Hattie B's has many locations so it's well known, but the owners are very white and didn't open the first location until 2012.
Princes Hot Chicken is the original black-owned nashville hot chicken
hey!!! it was nice getting to know Kwesi
This episode just flew by!!! I like insightful kwesi. Had no idea how much he’s done before try guys
Kwesi, as a Londoner, you need to see the Mr Kipling commercial with the siblings from this past year. I cry everytime
I really enjoyed getting to know more about Kwesi and his journey.
I love hearing from other people in the company / friends!
Kwesi is amazing and love for him just grew after this.
Would love to hear Rachel back on! She really is incredible!
Kwesi try watching jollibee special valentine/holiday commercials. They make a mini commercial series sometimes😊
maggie looks so good!!!
This video only made me love Kwesi more ♥️ I have so much respect for this man
Kwesi is the happiest person in the world ❤
Maggie's so pretty!!!
Please bring Kwesi back!!!!
I've always loved the psychology behind good commercials, so I completely understand Kwesi. I especially liked the succinct Dial soap commercial. It said everything in two sentences. (Aren't you glad you use Dial? Don't you wish everybody did?)
kwesi im technically gen z ('99 baby) and we also had typing classes! i think it may have ended shortly after my class but !
i was born in 2007 and i took a typing class. that shit is hard
I just read an article about Ridley Scott in the New Yorker. He started out doing commercials. Also, Jim Henson's muppets were first in commercials. Go Kwesi!
maggie and matt in all black looking like a rock band
Again, love you all, but.... KWESI!!!!
Those Asian commercials in the try not to cry commercials are exactly what Kwesi was talking about omg those are like short films
Kwesi is such a great person ❤
Kwesi is a very intellectual man. I love it 💛
The term BABY BOOMER comes the generation that was born immediately AFTER WW2, when there was a huge baby boom from all the returning soldiers! It goes from 1946 to 1964. I myself am at the tail end of the baby boomers. being born in 1963!
I feel you Kwesi! Millennials walked so Gen Z can run 🫰🫰🫰
Nobody:
Me: being gen z and laughing at kwesi’s rant 😭
Nashville has that true southern hospitality! Please try Prince’s Hot Chicken
I wish they would give Kwesi an official Try Guy title already
Boomers are older than 68! We are 69, 74 and up. Boomers were raised in the Vietnam War era. My husband, 74, was in the draft pool but the draft ended right before him. At 69, I am one of the youngest baby boomers. You can’t believe everything you read on the net! Love your show. Love you.
Would be nice to have an episode or even a video with a doctor or after birth care givers. We’re starting to try for baby next year and I’m scared - in a new country, new language (that I speak poorly) and only my husband will be with me.
What I found online only focused on baby, but have heard some horrible stuff happen to the little lady downstairs, so what do women do to take care. Maybe even the tryguys can do it as a series: a journey from trying all the way to the first few months after giving birth.
Not me RUNNING to my phone to not hear the spoiler of Great British Baking Show winner 😭 I'm so far behind in that show 😫
Millennials walked so zoomers can zoom. Why we gotta be everyone's scapegoat like damn. Put respect on our names lmao. 😂
hell yeah! everybody’s gotta chill with that stuff. it can be fun but it goes too far sometimes
I will have you know, that Lurpak is Danish, Kwesi James! And still make great commercials :)
OMG I loved Oregon Trail. Was there really a game called Math Munchers? I remember Word Munchers. If you were a kid in the mid-1990s, you definitely played Oregon Trail in computer lab.
Awww Baking Show spoiler right at the beginning :(
Why not but a spoiler alert, I was shocked 😢
Either the dude was lying or or kwesi just called out the crazy frog dude for doing coke
Prince's is the og hot chicken. Also pretty sure that Hattie Bs is not a bob but Prince's definitely is
Came here to say this. My cousins live in Nashville. Prince's is black owned and the original location is in the HOOD. Hattie B's is not. Both are good tho.
@@kleethepimp it's like 10 minutes from my house
Yeah came here to say this. Definitely Prince’s
There’s two different stages of gen z keep that in mind that had a lot or most of same experience as the later millennials
❤❤❤
27:00
Prince’s is actually the original. Love Hatty B’s. But Prince’s is the one that essentially created the idea of Nashville Hot Chicken. Wanna give these amazing Black business owners their dues!!
Kwesi a lot of us zoomers had those things too 😂 many of us have millennial siblings
Kwesi there are still people going through shit. The technology changed but some hardships haven’t.
Kwesi went to the house of the creator of CRAZY FROG?? Of course this guy does coke lmfao
19:40 Keith Zach Eugene....men?
Yes but no... "man!" Like the expression
Without a recipe "you can sit with us" edition.
I'm upset that you spelled Britney's name wrong in the description. That seems blasphemous.
The titile is to sad cause why is kwesi beefing with my generation :(
You’re not special Kwesi, 2000-born genz also took computer classes
