- On the 28th of November, 2022, Ubisoft launched a one-day sale event. An event that cut the prices of almost all store items by a drastic amount. On paper, it may sound good. Everything's cheaper and more accessible, but at what cost? In this video, I will share my thoughts and opinions on the Cyber Monday Disaster, what happened and what could've been done.

Hey everyone. I apologize that it took two months (since it happened) for this video! I started working on the video last month and only got to upload it today, nevertheless, hope you enjoy it!

The future is not looking good for Ubisoft and in turn, Growtopia. The company's stock has plumeted recently and they are already planning to make massive budget cuts and layoffs across the board. Being a day 1 player, I've seen Growtopia rise and now fall. It's only a matter of time before Ubisoft stops pushing updates which will ultimately lead to the shutdown of Growtopia. I can say it's been one wild ride. Growtopia always had a special place in my heart and will remain for many years to come. It has taught me things from learning who to trust to negotiatiation for trading. I've made so many friends and have met many amazing individuals from just having the game be common interest. I streamed and made content for it and was the first Twitch streamer to be featured on the community hub back in late 2019. A game like Growtopia comes around once in a lifetime...however I believe Seth and Mike were unable to take the game any further thus leading them to sell to a AAA company that only showed interest in it's investors. That being said, I believe the mmo sandbox genre still has hope and soon, we will have a game that will indeed be the successor to a once very enjoyable and memorable game. RIP Growtopia

If you guys ever dig the forum deep enough, u guys could find a topic about ubisoft "not knowing how the game works". Yes, they bought the game without not knowing the mechanism of the game and even after years, most of the staffs still dont know the game mechanism thats why nowadays growtopia updates are just repetitive. I experienced this last december. I thought I was hallucinating when the Red Drag Claw was only 5k gems and the treasure blast was cheaper. I should've took advantage of this and bought tons of Vending Machines for my minivend world.

The only way to save growtopia at this point is to have the game sold to another company and the roulette wheel removed. They should also do a thing that's been done in world of warcraft private servers once a year - cut all the existing currency (world locks) in half. And last but not least there should be more moderators to make sure the rules aren't being broken.

@@strikzs1145 yes but it will pretty much reduce by large amounts the possibilities of them creating casino worlds. There should also be many mods who are actively watching over those worlds.
@@denisgamesbg9963 it won't do shit dude just think about it casinos ain't doing anything and they can bet other ways. Botting is much larger issue and they did something 2 weeks ago ( patched virtual machines ) but that ain't enough. When you think about it it's funny how 13-15 y olds over the years became scripters just to make $ from gt which is fully support why not abuse stupid company but that stupid company worth billions shouldn't let it happen.
@@denisgamesbg9963ere are still some ways to get rid of all bad stuff and make this game playable again
First one is removing all RNG based blocks from the game to avoid gambling.
Second one is blocking all connections from Indonesia and Turkey IP's
Third one is doing a long time rollback to the 2018 when first iotm was launched (magplant and rayman fist was a big mistake. Its the biggest tool for autofarmers(now gaut too) and main cause of in-game inflation)
Implement a powerful anti cheat system (EAC or custom kernel level ac)
To avoid bots only allow 1 connection per ip adress (proxy and vpns cost money too)
Last one is
Banning all the worlds that has buy+ prefix this will stop rich capitalism that causes huge wealth gap between players. Also removing Vending machines would make this game socialable again with manually trading Nd interacting with other players like good old days. Vending machines only made rich players even more richer and cut off the main purpose of this game which is human - human interaction.
@@denisgamesbg9963 This is temporary,alternative gambling will arise.If the players used slot machines and dirt game to gamble illegally,would they remove it?No.
I was wanting a roll back, I knew all these things happened but I never abused it, second thought I should have just logged onto my alt and just duped gems and purchased cosmic capes.

Honestly though: I think it was a good event, but I think the packs on sale should rotate, like how the packs during Black Friday rotate. I also think the sale should be much lower at 50% or even less.
What was great about this update? Honestly what? Rich got richer and Ubisoft got more money by ruining the economy of the game again just a little bit more. I don’t get what was so great about this money milking event.

I am really looking for videos like these.. like I wasn't able to login during that day because I'm very busy then I just noticed people buying Blast on store for cheap,I knew something wrong happened .. They couldn't do rollback but I hope they stop doing PAW discounts and balance the economy

It is gonna die considering the casino activity in gt has increased a lot and like everyone is either buying or selling DLS. New players do not have any goals to achieve in a game when it is just impossible to reach it from 0. Most players there are mostly veterans with no new players so I can see why it is going to be irrelevant soon. The only way to solve this is literally to either increase all the prices and drop the item prices so it is like a rollback in the players net worth. To do this they need manipulators to down the price by at least more than half in order for gt to survive. They could also hold a new player parkour race for new players just spawn them in during the tutorials this could potentially increase the number of new players. Honestly even if they change things aren't gonna last too long but as a mobile game it probably has some chance left.
I was literally paid 55wls to clear one world, really says something about inflation. Still tho, got falsely perma suspended and support forums didnt help and so i lost an account of 5 years and 50 levels.

the reason of items going missing on rollback is because only worlds are getting rollbacked, items in the inventory are not. That is why we have situations where people lose items they place before, and there are also situations of duplicated items, which only those OGs will know how to abuse it and get duplicated magplants & raymans 😂, I have already quited 2 years ago but this method has never been shared online before. These duplicated magplants & raymans are also considered legit real items because it can't be differentiate with the real items whether isit a duplicate or not as it is not magically generating from a glitch, but rather generated from a rollback state. Infact I myself also owned 3 duplicated magplants from this and it hasn't been remove since 2019 till now.
Is that why everything rose? I recently came back to GrowTopia a few days ago and was confused..

They've always punished people, because of THEIR problems, winter seals................. and ofcourse, there were scripts already made, that recyled 200 blasts in a minute, most bought around 5000+ vends etc, it was such an easy profit method 🤣🤣
Ye i agree, last December 2020, they accidentally made the snow aura obtainable unlimited, i thought it was a feature and i got banned after like 5 hours permanently haha, with my iotm including magplant

This isw hy imo PixelWorlds had done it right for making their world locks untradeable. Switching the trading currency into something that can completely disappear aka byte coins was a hella smart move and pretty funny too, kinda mocking bit coins. Hope growtopia actually the way world lock works on trading either by having trading fee or something.

@@jimpnotsimp it was disabled from.the store during cyber monday and no one was able to buy the item birth certificate. However, hackers used some sort of hack tool to buy birth certificates for 5k gems. I think it wasn't visible in the actual GT game but hackers coded it to purchase it using a hack tool. I think you should post should thread on forums about 'what happened to birth certificatds', so you have an idea of what happened with the GT communities help.
