@@laylen245 yeah because Russia just has a couple of Tsar Bombas lying around... no such bomb exists anymore as it's way too impratical to use. China has the biggest nukes currently which at 5mt, are only 1/10th of the size of Tsar Bomba. It's far more effective to fire multiple smaller nukes than one big one anyway, so the numbers do make sense.

Fortunately for you half life's exist so you won't have to worry about some non state actors nuclear tendencies because Fortunately for everyone else enriching radioactive isotopes is both expensive and unstable . U 235 really doesn't like existing so it decays below the threshold for being used as a nuclear weapon pretty quickly if its not properly maintained (which is also ridiculously expensive to do)

Russia has about 1/3 of their total warheads that are in a launchable state. most of them are sitting in a state of disrepair or being swapped out for maintenance. The US and NATO has currently most of it's arsenals in a ready state. That is the big difference in all of this. also 3/4 of NATO warheads are mounted on submarines that will be close to target areas when launched so will take out command and control structures very early and will hamper the guidance/radar capability of the Russians main missile arsenal. Remember, NATO is not just the US, there are a lot of other countries in NATO that have nuclear weapons that would be used against Russia under article 5 if it came to that.
