- Many people have wondered and debated on who the 144,000 sealed in their forehead are? Is this exclusive to 144,000 people? Why would God limit those chosen people to such a small number?

They are Jewish Christian Evangelists from all the last of the tribes of Isreal. All of them will be Virgins. "Undefiled by Women." They will have the "Two witnesses" also who have the same abilities as Elijah and Moses, respectively.
This is what the Word tells us, and I trust in the word.
I agree, I don’t believe that the 144,000 will be limited to that number. In Revelation 4 and 5, John sees a vision of the throne of God (Heavenly Father). There are 24 seats around the throne of God, and 24 elders sitting on those seats.
The Lamb (Jesus Christ) appears in the midst of the throne of God and the elders, and the elders praise and worship Him. They sing a new song of praise, and are joined by a concourse of angels ‘and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands.’
Similar to understanding that when Jesus taught Peter to forgive even 70x7, it seems to mean symbolically to forgive endlessly, not only 490 times, we can probably think about these other numbers in similar ways.

While I don’t remember where I learned this, I believe the number thousand was basically the largest number the Israelites had, and it could also represent the largest number they could imagine. When numbering things biblically, we are given references to things like the number of stars in the sky, or the grains of sand. We know we can’t count them all, but we know the number is basically limitless.

We are totally on the same page with regards to the 144 thousand. It is all of God's children who make covenants in the waters of Baptism and continue down the covenant path progressing into the House of the Lord and who are sealed and even those to whom never had the chance to be sealed because they were not asked will not be held back to the blessings afforded to those who were sealed for time and all eternity! Those who let God prevail will be heirs to the Celestial kingdom of God. I have such a strong testimony of this. With fond regards brother Powers.

I had to look up the word "stadia" which is defined as a surveying instrument. I am sure everyone has seen this with road construction crews, with one person holding a vertical rod at a distance from another person looking through a survey compass. Thanks for your research and insight Kaitlyn.

I believe that when you are talking about the 144 thousand it is kind of like the question How often should we forgive someone 70 times 7 which would be 490 times and then we don't have to forgive when it's 491. No, of course not. It's not a literal #... I hope I am making sense. 144 thousand is not literally that exact number.
