I wish I had known how to make these when my daughter had long hair and was still living at home. My daughter will be 51 years old this Monday. It is still good to know. These will make great gifts.
Thank you so much Angela, I really really enjoyed watching you create this. Dazzling and elegant scrunchy, it’s really really beautiful and I can just imagine my granddaughters having this in their hair and others being envious of them!!!! Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
I love this!! Thanks for showing the burrito method - I made a tube scarf with polar fleece this way and it worked out perfectly. Your tutorials are always easy to follow and your ideas are so creative ❤️
Notches are cut so that you can match seams. If you stretch one layer too much, you end up with excess fabric on one side when you get to end of seam. Make sure notches match when sewing seams. Thanks for watching
Hi Kelle, you use a notcher when making paper/cardboard patterns. You use the notcher to cut out and mark the placement the little notches. It is not used on the fabric.
Anything soft is great for scrunchies. Slippery fabrics are best not to snag the hair but a little bit harder to sew. Quilting cotton is very easy to handle.

What are the advantages of a ruffle scrunchie over "normal" scrunchie? Just estetic, for style variation?
Just a different style with more defined ruffling
Great tutorial. Maybe its obvious, but what were the two notches for at the beginning? Cant figure it out

Thank you😊
Why do we have to press seams??
the pressed seams will make it easier to centre the edges when sewing the channel in the middle. Pressed seams always look better when sewing
What is a Tailors Garment Pattern Notcher used for?
