Anyone who is actually listening to the prophet and the brethren will be able to see we are very close to the return of the Savior. I think sometimes many just don’t want to come to the realization that things may get scary. Most want to live out their lives attending to their own agenda.... work, do family life, retire, travel etc. Most just aren’t ready to accept that we are nearing midnight.
I watched all of your videos and find them interesting and insightful however I do not agree with your conclusion on Ezra's Eagle and that we won't be here for the end of the Millenial Reign. I sure hope I am worthy to be alive during the Millenium. Even if I have already died beforehand or changed in a twinkling of an eye, I believe we will always be living on the earth. Where else do you think we will be? I watched Prouts youtube videos but he was not the original interpreter of Ezra's Eagle & I do not believe he had the same witness as Michal Rush did who I believe was. He has many books now and done several interviews that show he is very knowledgeable and a humble follower of Christ and reiterates often that we need to seek the Spirit for ourselves to be able to 'see' what the scriptures mean.
This is great analysis. Predicting last day events is "spiritually dangerous" and completely missing the mark. The Savior wants us to focus on the first principals and ordinances of the gospel, becoming more like Him, repenting daily, serving others, temple worship, etc. The adversary will use last day events to distract us from that which will make us holier. Lets focus on being better disciples and leave the last day predictions to the Prophet.
Focus on the words of the prophet. In April he talked about peace. This October conference in talked about thinking celestial. Stay in the boat, follow the prophet, attend the temple and your church meetings, minister, listen to and follow the spirit.
Look, I've been on this dang ride for fifty some odd years. I've watched this place go down the toilet fast. You focus on you and yours, good. I'm focused on the big wrap up. Get it over with! Don't tell me with all the evil happening right now that it's not close. If you compare today to the 60s and 70s you'll freak out. And they were bad times. Personally, the eagle that comes out of the sea would not be the US... the US has always been the dry ground... I can agree the feathers do seem to corolate to the president so how did we become the eagle out of the sea? This is just a guess on my part. Hoover worked with Truman at the end of ww2 in foreign affairs and the start of the league of nations. US did not join but Hoover had alot of interactions foreign affairs and reparations . Many of his policies refused by dems were done under for. After ww2 Hoover worked again in foreign affairs into the UN....through the league of nations into the UN I guess as far as the world stage, the US eagle came out of the waters to be a world power:ie; the 3 headed eagle. I've studied Ezra's Eagle quite a bit and never heard this idea that the six feathers on the right would be against the three heads. I feel like you took that one idea that you must have heard somewhere and used it to discredit the interpretation that some have. I think you need to go back and check out other sources, not just the one that you seem to be quoting.
One thing for everyone to keep in mind is that this could have been a true prophecy when originally given and written down and then possibly corrupted later.

I appreciate the care and genuine investigation that you put into this address and how you were able to remain respectful to other explanations. My only crititicism is that you stated that none of us will be around at the end of the millennium - I disagree with you on that point.
2 Esdras was NOT apocryphal in Joseph Smith's Day, pre- 1880 it WAS a part of the OFFICIALLY accepted cannon of the scripture by the brethren. The LORD did NOT relegate 2 Esdras as a second tier scripture but rather the Southern Baptist Convention of the late 19th century.
I believe even though much information has already been revealed we still have to exercise much faith and place much trust in God to get through what's coming.
Personally my heart and spirit feel like the second coming isn’t a long way off at all. I feel like it’s so much closer than we think. But that’s my personal feelings from the spirit. I love Ezras Eagle. I am one of the believers that Trump was that first short feather. I’m willing to be wrong but it still feels like it’s all playing out to me. I didn’t read that part where all the right wing presidents would go contrary to the heads. Hadn’t read or heard that. I’ll go back and read it again though. Biden is definitely playing with those heads.

I also we love the second coming is closer than we may think only time will tell but something happened inside me when pres nelson was brought in. I felt something I’ve never felt before and everything is different for me! Then all the conference talks and mention of last days and having front row seats to seeing Christ return and then covid and my urge the last few years to build my food storage which the urgency just keeps increasing! To say we’re not going to be here at the end is an nonsense opinion, in my opinion. That detracts what Nelson said in conference not long ago about “time is running out” or Holland “do not delay, it’s getting late.” And with all of these changes to the church of hours and structures and Nelson’s big push on gathering Israel to prepare for His coming. Another point I’d like to make is that the truth of scripture can also be discovered in the abstract. You’ve stated that the book of 2nd Esdras contains information, you believe, the author ignored to make a narrative. I would simply ask you to consider that logic. Joseph Smiths greatest achievement in life was to be able to bring about a holy record that, over almost 200 years, has been able to connect to every book of Christian theology. He never said much about it, but the Apocrypha seems to have that name in JS time even though it wasn’t officially removed from the canon until 50 years after his death. So it WAS part of JS upbringing. Very curious. That said (going back to the original point) how do you think it’s possible that Michael B Rush (who co-Wrote the book) put together the research (research no one else has done, in or out of the church) over 30 years. Connected that prophecy to over 800 scriptures in both the Bible, BoM, AND the apocrypha. Only to be tripped up by one who hasn’t studied this out for himself? To Michaels credit, he always states the path that the Lord, himself, uses. “Pray and get the spirit”. Or, in the words of President Nelson “Hear Him”. It’s always nice to have something to compare if there are different opinions. What I might suggest (and this would blow up your channel😁) is to host Michael Rush (he’s the guy you disagree with) and ask him these questions in a fair setting. Because you’re right! We shouldn’t take things at face value. But neither should we be so sure of our thoughts that we talk past those we disagree with. Either way, this deserves more than a 13 minute cursory look at something 30 years in the making. Maybe you could also look at the things you believe are being ignored in the scriptures and say why you think those things, by themselves, mess up the Ezras Eagle narrative?
@@KathrynHancock1 James Prout co-wrote “The Lost Ten Tribes” book. He is the one the channel says has recounted his confidence in the prophecy. Michael, the one who’s spent all the time in the book, hasn’t recounted anything but acknowledges that things may not play out as he sees them.

I don't agree with this guy's analysis because it contained NO ANALYSIS of the entire text itself. The interpretations of Ezra‘s eagle in those videos let me to look up and study Ezra‘s Eagles prophecy on chapter 11 and 12. Although the prophecy was misinterpreted when these people spoke about Ezra‘s eagle as far as saying that Mike Pence was going to be the next president, The prophecy does not say or state who those short feathers were going to be, it does state that the last two feathers on the right side were going to transfer over to the left. I first came to know of Ezra’s eagle back in 1991 as I was attending a class of Institute of religion and so happened that the instructor was teaching both of the old testament manuals where I saw for the first time Ezra‘s eagle. It took up the entire page and the feathers were numerated according to Ezra‘s Eagles prophecy. I believe that all of us should be reading, studying and pondering Ezra’s eagles prophecy very carefully and prayerfully as this prophecy is not fulfilled entirely yet.

I like to research the person giving information before just taking what they say to be truth or even influenced by truth. If 2nd Esdras was written around 100 AD, how then is it found in the Dead Sea Scrolls which date back to 200 BC or earlier? Also, the entire Apocrypha is found in the Septuagint translation of the OT Which was the Old Testament used in the days of Jesus Christ.
I have studied Esdras 11 and 12 of the Kings James Version myself. Joseph Smith and the Saints at that time had the Apocrypha in their bibles while crossing the plains. It was removed by other religious groups later on. Remember the Bible had lost many of its plain and precious parts and we believe it to be the word of God as long as its translated correctly!! The Apocrypha is in a similar state. Joseph Smith used Egyptian papyri, as well. We should always pray about what we read and study to receive for ourselves the truth on all things. I truly believe this prophesy to be truthful!! It would have never been understood until our day as it would have made no sense until now. Many truths will continue to be revealed as we get closer to our Saviors coming that we now, and not before, will understand. The contrary feathers, I believe, have no specific definition. They could be anything that disrupts the order of the office term or that illegally or by act of evil takes out the one in office (i.e. conspiracy, cheating, murder, death, resignation, ect.) I also believe the presidents on the left side ( starting with Trump and Biden) have nothing to do with political affiliation but began a change in the season leading up to the second coming (possibly opening of 7th seal, Rev. 12 sign Sept 23 2017 that also occurred in the sky (same star/planet alignment ) when Joseph Smith received the plates on September 22, 1827, and the 1st of 2 solar eclipses that crossed over 7 cities named Salem, etc.) This prophesy also tells us what will occur in America during these last days and as the "Great Reset" that the EU, America, Canada, etc. try to push on the world through the World Economic Forum along with the Council on Foreign Relations try to set up a one World Government, they have to make all countries economically the same, so they have to bring the USA down to be equal (equity). So they are using Biden to do it, but I believe he will fail in some way and they don't want the next two in office to spoil their plans that they worked for years to implement and that's when the eagle heads take power ( in the open, not behind the scenes this time). I believe the heads are very great and powerful which suppress the people even more and our constitution will unravel to a thread at this point. The Lion comes and saves us, which I believe to be Christ himself. This prophesy just gives us a tiny heads up to our timing and what we may face, to get prepared!! And that's what President Nelson and past presidents/prophets have been and are telling us. It also parallels the last Nephite leaders' plights of the Book of Mormon and coincides with Daniel 7. No one can predict what exactly will transpire next but we have some breadcrumbs with Ezras Eagle....we just have to apply each piece as it happens.

I don't know why there are so many who think that the coming of Christ is a long way off. Is it actually wishful thinking? You like the cushy life style you have now and don't want it to end? Someone explain.
I imagine it is something like that mixed with fear. Someone very near and dear to my heart HATES talking about the second coming because only the bad stuff comes to mind and sends them into a panic. They had a really rough upbringing and their life now with their spouse and children is so good, that they fear all of that changing. Plus, they like worldly traditions like Halloween, Christmas etc (I'll admit I like them too, but they're very much consumerism and won't be around when Christ is here.) This person wants their children to have the life they never did with all the love and favorite traditions. They know the second coming will "rob" them of that, if you will. It's hard to look forward to something that instills fear in your heart. There's so much joy to be had when it's all said and done, though! I don't understand the thought that it's "still so far away" because the signs are so obvious, even this person I love admits that the signs are clear. Fulfilling the scriptures, though, when they say that the people will say that God delays the day.
I don't believe that the second coming is so far away that we won't live to see it. Just last year President Nelson gave a talk at BYU where he stated that every single person sitting in the audience that day was saved for the last days and would live to see the second coming.

Michael B. Rush is the one that tied Ezra's vision with the president's of the US. Many other people went wild with it. I believe that it is still in play. I think that the event spoken of in 2.Esdras is going to play out within the next 2 years. Even if there is only a 1.percent chance that Michael is right, wouldn't it be wise to study it and consider it before discounting it? And also go to Michaels interpretation and consider that as well as the original text. It has to do with our future and I think the Lord has given us many hints on what to expect we just to be open minded and seek learning by the spirit.
Honestly I think this video wasn't well researched. I believe the original author who connected Ezra's Eagle to the Unites States was Michael B. Rush. There have been a few who have piggybacked onto his work and have made many claims but non of them have put the work into it that Rush has and they have been wrong on interpretation, manly because I think they have been hyping it up for money or attention. I have read all of Ezra multiple times and I believe the prophesy coined "Ezra's Eagle" is very much in play and is accurate up to this point. Trump is indeed a short feather. I also feel the author of this video is not considering other aspects of this prophecy. For those who want some good supplemental sources on Ezra's Eagle I would definitely recommend Michael B. Rush's book "A Remnant Shall Return" , he also has a TH-cam channel with a few videos on various topics.

I agree. Michael B. Rush is the go-to source on this prophesy. He was the first. At any rate, the presidents and their lengths line up too perfectly. Plus it looks like Biden will be in office for an even shorter time than Trump. It will be very interesting to see what happens over the next 3-4 years. I agree. I think it's a different author whose views I didn't agree with from the outset who divided the feathers between right and left and interprets what that may mean. I think that interpretation is off. I read 2 Esdras 11-12 many times and prayed a ton and received a lot of personal revelation on this topic before I read Rush or Prout. So I had my own ideas and understandings going in to it. I immediately agreed with almost everything Rush said about it and not really with what Prout said about it. I am wondering if the maker of this video was following Prout's discussions. Interestingly, last Thanksgiving Rush put out a video refining how he understands the definition of what a short feather is and it aligned with my interpretation as well. It was the one piece I felt was missing from his book, A Remnant Shall Return. I highly recommend that book coupled with prayerful consideration of the scriptural path he takes you on. And actually reading the scriptures he references. Excellent resource. But, going back to section 91, the Lord put it on my heart for years that he had a big message for me in the apocrypha. Then when I found Ezra's Eagle the amount of personal revelation that flowed into my soul the first few times I read it, I knew that it was the message the Lord was preparing me for for years leading up to it. I have no doubt that prophecy is true and that it is speaking of our day. I can bear testimony of it. I also really appreciate and enjoy the videos on this channel. I just happen to disagree with this one.
@@melissalonnecker8540 He was talking about Prout because I read that exact statement Prout made on the social website Medium. I even commented to Prout not to give up on the interpretation of the prophecy. I think Prout piggybacked off of Rush's interpretation so he did not get the same witness that Rush received when the interpretation came clear to him. I studied the prophecies and all of Rush's writings and at first, I had a hard time making sense of the scriptures he spoke of but I kept trying and the interpretations became clear to me.
Thanks for sharing this! I was introduced to Ezra's Eagle a few months ago by a friend, and while I found it intriguing, it just didn't feel quite right. At least not entirely, do I haven't really given it too much thought since. I really appreciate the way in which you dissect the subject and your objective view. Thank you for adding some clarity! As we all seek to understand the craziness around us, I think we all should remember to always look for one of 2 things- objective truth and eternal truth. If we seek and follow those, we're gonna be on the right track.
You should study Michael Rush's writings who I believe is the original interpreter of Ezra's Eagle. I had a hard time making sense of how he got the interpretation that he did from those scriptures but I kept reading and studying and it became clear to me. Michael Rush says himself, that each person must seek the guidance of the Spirit to see and understand these things and not to take his word for it.
There are many permutations of Ezra Eagle.. I’ve read a few that didn’t feel right. I think letting the spirit speak the truth will help you recognize when something is right. We’re all trying to get this and Ezras eagle prophecy is one of many important things. One should not get too hung up on those things
One of the reason why I enjoy and often prefer your videos of other who tend to make the same sort of content is that you don’t claim to have special and certain knowledge that others don’t, which is a clear sign of both false prophets and anti christs. I also like the change of pace how you don’t sit in front of the camera and say “hey look at me!” Not that there is anything wrong with that. But there are a few people who do that for their own image but many many others who don’t which I also enjoy. It’s also very clear that you study the content you out out a lot before hand and use the process of revelation to learn by the spirit.m and share some of what you have learned.
Remember Joseph Fielding Smith said the book Ezra’s is correct.Also, I don’t want to sound harsh, but I’ve listened to many of your videos and they do have truth in them but a undertone message of “don’t get ahead of yourself thinking the second coming is close”- yet our Prophet says just the opposite. Not sure what you’re afraid of, with all your studies, why does the spirit seem constrained in your words? Are you afraid this will make members fall away if things take longer that one may have thought ?Every generation has been waiting for our Saviors return, beginning with Adam 😊 and here we are still looking for his return, only now time is running out as our dear prophet has stated and so many of the apostles!
I’m going to interject a thought that I don’t think is being considered: “why did the eagle wake up to begin with?” “What was actually disrupted and why, if the prophecy holds, would Biden ALSO be considered a disrupter?” Because BOTH men took the country to vastly different sides of the pendulum. The eagles were asleep because the pattern that was set was working as it should. And the government remained whole and intact. Today, no matter which side of the isle you are on, the government is not intact. It no longer protects the people the way it used to. Both participants (Trump and Biden) have destroyed the balance. Therefore the eagle has to try to restore it. But it’s too late (IMO) for that to happen. As Michael Rush has proposed, it’s not probable that a prophecy that has survived 100 years of speculative observation would be wrong now. The author of the post you shared used QAnon as a legitimate resource. They don’t follow scripture and have not been around 100 years (much less thousands). So they can’t be considered as being linked to this prophecy in any serious conversation. We are all following this prophecy on different levels. Some say it’s 100% fact. Others are following and studying to see where it goes. But they’re willing to be wrong. My response to this is to let you know that it’s not wrong so far. Keep watching, we haven’t even created the top of the coaster yet.

How many times have we heard voters complain that it “doesn’t matter who we elect, the powers that be have already decided FOR us!”? Well, Trump was the equivalent of a big “screw you” to the establishment. You were a part of what came next. Now we have Biden going just as far the other way. I’m not arguing “who’s right” here. Just laying out the events as they’ve occurred. All the heads are awake now and trying to restore their order. Under the pattern set by the Eagle heads, both sides were getting along, generally speaking. You might say they were center Right and center left. Because they rarely strayed into the places Trump and Biden have gone. When they did get that far out, their system was quick to snap it back the other way. If Trump had remained in office, could the eagles have recovered from what he did? Do you see them being effective now, under Biden? I think it’s important to understand that the eagles have been asleep for 100 years. If Biden really was on their team, why not go back to sleep? Why doesn’t the prophecy stop talking about the eagles and just keep talking about the feathers? Because they don’t agree. The eagles continue, in the prophecy, to take out the feathers until the last 2 (which they have reserved) See, my take on those last two feathers is that they have reached a place of such anger and hostility over the people that they have to drop a hammer down or lose all control of the situation. Or it could be the Eagle heads know Biden was not a good choice to put in power but they had no one else as electable. They probably know he will not last long - either mentally or physically. I don't know how it will all play out but when each feather is taken out we will know how close we are to the antichrist and need to be prepared to fight against him, or at least be able to stand against him, as Michael Rush says in his book Delight in Plainness that I am reading right now.
I think a video about the very last days after the millennium when statin is loosed again would be fascinating. We often tend to think the millennium is it and all will be over then and often overlook the great last war and what is actually going to happen.
I think the lost scriptures we don’t have still will come in the millennium to prepare us for that time. I think it’s a bit far away for us to need those yet. Kind of like the Book of Mormon.
Also the last 8 feathers are simply that. The LAST 8 before the anti Christ. Too many people got whipped up in trying to determine what a short feather was and what a long feather was. I mainly think that the specific call out to JFK Nixon and Roosevelt where there to orient us, but it's really the 8 final feathers that matter in the timeline
Thanks for this very fair look at Ezra's Eagle. I have read 2 Esdras a few times, and came to the conclusion that the popular interpretation of Ezra's Eagle didn't really "work." There were things that were stretched to attach meaning, and other things left out. Is there truth in these writings? Yes. Could there be errors? Again, the Lord says yes. It will be interesting to look back some day and see which things actually happened and what they meant. For now, I don't feel like this prophecy really helps us much to get ready to meet the Lord.
Nowhere in 2nd Esdras 11&12 does it say the left wing...it only describes the right wing. Many people have incorrectly assumed that starting with Trump the prophecy switched wings...this is not correct. The most appropriate LDS interpretation of contrary feather should be a presidency ended prematurely by the modern day gadiaton robbers. By stating you think this prophecy refers to the end of the millennium, you ignore chapter 12 verse 11 where It specifically refers to the same beast of Daniel 7. If you assume Daniel 7 is also at the end of the millennium, then we have TONS of issues you’ll have to explain. This prophecy is perfectly in play at the moment.
Two interpretations I have thought of is: 1. 3 heads are schools of thought. Right head meaning conservatism. Left wing meaning liberal, and the middle meaning moderates. If that is the interpretation, then perhaps the moderates would get so frustrated with the left and right that they take over. 2. OR the right is republican, left is democrat, and the middle is the philosophy of the far left that overtake in power both the democrat and republican parties creating a problem of usurping power and persecuting the saints and religions. I am seeing this play out currently. But tides can always change. 3. The three heads being China, Russia, and Iran. Asleep during to the cold war. Then US America starts to go against the wishes of these empires. They begin to eat up the other heads and Christ comes. I tend to feel the 2nd interpretation is more likely because “head” usually is symbolic for wisdom or thought. Look at how the left cancels everything and takes over in Washington.
I think it is worth considering that this book of apocrypha is specifically mentioned as being worthwhile in the Bible dictionary. Search, ponder and pray. These things can not be revealed by man but by spirit only. I appreciate this video as being the “devils advocate” for lack of a better word. Study both sides. I believe the prophecy still stands as of today. The author interpreted the contrary feathers one way but it means obviously something else but the Presidents are still fitting.
Thank you for this clarification. Your comments make so much more sense than the interpretations that have been falsely spread the past few years. I think we should stick with scripture and keep looking up and listening to the words of the prophets.
Ever heard the saying "history repeats itself? " I believe that prophecy does too because many prophetic images are archetypes for events that occur across multiple time scales on multiple levels. Satan has a somewhat predictable MO, and so does God, but often tne patterns and fulfillments don't become clear except in retrospect, unless one actually possesses a legitimate prophetic gift. But even then, those who "know" are usually proscribed from letting it out, as God does not give his secrets out casually.
I'm trying to find "the section under the Apocrypha" in The Guide to the Scriptures that you quote here. In Gospel Library, this section doesn't exist, and my older set of scriptures doesn't have a "Guide to the Scriptures" so they must be too old. Can you give some clarification as to where you found this?

I feel the same way about the Apocryphal Books and I do about biblical movies. I put it in my head and then later forget which part was fact and which was fiction. Then I go to teach and look like a fool because I quoted a movie instead of the prophets. The risk of putting false or incorrect doctrine in my head isn't worth it.
Agreed...I have read parts of several and just don't get a positive witness in my spirit...like the book of wisdom...it seems to parallel parts of proverbs, but wisdom book speaks mostly about its self, verses proverbs alway going back to the Lord.. to God the Father.
The risk of consuming false doctrine is still pretty high even if you only read the standard works. There are a lot of interpolations of man in the KJV bible you find in every church building, some of which were theologically driven. 1 John 5:7-8 for example. Determining which texts are inspired isn't as simple as grabbing the standard works. There are texts outside the quad that are likely inspired such as the Book of Enoch. Best practice is to prayerfully read as much as possible, and see how other texts harmonize with what the Holy Ghost confirms to you is inspired.
"Contrary" is not used in a way that only connotes "being against the heads." Through translation and language differences the original terms could easily have meant something different like "on the other wing" or "chaotic/messy" or "opposing the normal order of election" etc etc etc. It's one of the few issues I find with Ezras Eagle. The numbers match up seemingly well up to now, but the slight mistranslation of a single word could also change the interpretation of future events just enough to deceive.
2 Esdras was NOT apocryphal in Joseph Smith's Day, pre- 1880 it WAS a part of the OFFICIALLY accepted cannon of the scripture. The LORD did NOT relegate 2 Esdras as a second tier scripture but rather the Southern Baptist Convention of the late 19th century.

I think that like many of the other presenters of Ezra's Eagle you missed one detail that when read properly it clears up the misunderstanding that makes people dismiss this prophecy because of Biden. Almost everyone interprets the feathers on the eagle's right wing as feathers that go against the 3 eagle heads and tries to reverse what the heads have already done through the other feathers. If you carefully read verse 25 you will see that that is not what it says: 25 And I beheld, and, lo, the feathers that were under the wing thought to set up themselves and to have the rule. It says that they try to do things their way and not the 3 eagle heads way. It doesn't say they try to do what's right by America. Now that that is cleared up you can see that at this point the prophecy seems to be right on track. We will know for sure within the next 2 years. If Biden is removed from office before the end of his term in office then we will know for sure.
I disagree with this. The Lords millennium makes an end of all nations and to presume that one minor flaw, amid so many other accuracies, makes the time frame incorrect simply doesn't make sense. Especially when you just covered that thier are INTERPOLATIONS by the hands of Men. We may not have a completely accurate account as it was not translated by the Prophet Joesph Smith. Also their is nothing that specifies what the contrary feather is for or against. Contrary could refer to, contrary to the constitution which is God's Law or it could mean contrary to the will of the people or "voice" that comes from the midst of the eagle. This prophecy will see fulfillment as we see the next president be removed even quicker than the previous president. Biden will be declared incompetent or unfit for office. I agree that the author of the book shouldn't have pre-supposed that pence would be the next in office but I don't see how the Prophecy is still not on track to be fulfilled. According to the vision the next two feathers after the short feather(Donald) are to be removed each in quicker succession than the former. It is my opinion that the current pres in his rapidly declining mental state will be removed by the 25th ammendment. If this is the case then after we see him removed from office we will see the next two pres assassinated according to the Prophecy. This leaves 3 heads and two feathers under the head on the right. The 2 remaining presidents feathers are also assassinated and then the 3 heads start to canabalize each other.
I was also thinking about the time frame. I think it most likely refers to the time before the Second Coming, for the reasons stated here. He references 2 Esdras 12:25 which mentions "his last end", and I'll add verse 23 mentions "In his last days." I can understand why those phrases out of context could lead him to believe it could refer to the end of the terrestrial earth, and not the end of the telestial earth. However, I think it's vague enough that it could still be either. So I look at other context clues. 1) Literarily, "his last end" can mean "his ultimate purpose", rather than the last ending. It may not refer to a time frame at all. 2) Verse 23 also says that "In his last days shall the most High raise up three kingdoms, and renew many things therein, and they shall have the dominion of the earth." Christ will be king during the millennium (D&C 45:59 "He will be their king and their lawgiver"). These three kings will have dominion over the earth (v.23) and will rule with much oppression (v.24). With Christ on earth, they could rule over a part of the earth at most. I just don't think the language "have the dominion of the earth" can correctly be applied to wicked leaders at the end of the millennium. Then again, maybe this "little season" (D&C 29:22, 43:31, Rev 20:3, 7-10) has time to fit in 18 feathers and 3 heads, ruling with oppression, and murder. 3) Similarly, 11:6 says "all things under heaven were subject unto [the eagle]". During the millennium, all things under heaven will be subject to Christ. It is before the Second Coming that an organization like this eagle can have that kind of power. 4) 2 Esdras 11:45-46 say "appear no more, thou eagle … that all the earth may be refreshed". The earth being refreshed makes me think of AoF 1:10 "the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory". And the earth being refreshed after the eagle is gone reminds me of the fall of the great and abominable church, another "end time" event. I suppose it could likewise be referring to D&C 29:23, "the end shall come, and the heaven and the earth shall be consumed and pass away, and there shall be a new heaven and a new earth." To me, "refreshed" and "renewed" are much closer than "refreshed" and "consumed", so I have a preference there. 5) We simply don't have detailed revelations about the end of the Millennium. The verses we do have are brief. It would be a deviation from the pattern of revealed truth to have such a long, detailed revelation about that time period. (Assuming, of course, that it is an actual revelation.)

Sounds like to me this video was mostly created to show his own opinion and possibly the opinion of his family, that Ezras Eagle is not accurate and therefore can’t be a Prophecy. He is missing a lot of key information here though.

Thank you for this video! I had tried to say the same things to friends and associates who believed so deeply in this. I always asked, “why isn’t the Prophet talking about this then?” Reading a few of the comments here, one can see how political this is. We are warned that “many false prophets” would arise and we are told not to be deceived. A false prophet doesn’t need to be a religious leader. He can be a king or a president or a political movement or a philosophy. When you mingle these things with scripture, they become especially dangerous! Satan will tell 100 truths so he can deceive you with 1 lie. Or he will teach a truth but manipulate or twist the meaning to accomplish his goals. We ARE living in a special time in the history of the earth and the Lord IS hastening his work. But so is the devil. I’ll ask again- what is the President of the Church of Jesus Christ saying? What are the authorized, “true messengers” of Jesus Christ - the Apostles- telling us? It’s not Ezra’s Eagle and it’s not right wing/left wing politics. I’m disappointed in this video. I was expecting a more thoughtful, studied assessment of the prophecy but most of the video was just “I don’t think it applies to our day just because I don’t think it does.” No compelling case was made to counter the assessments that have been given by others and the explanation given here of those other interpretations was not well done. For example, interpretation has never mentioned that the “right wing feathers” are all against the Three Heads; only that the feathers fall into disarray contrary to the smooth transitions that happen with the “left wing feathers”. The left and right wings seem to separate periods of time which we have ALL felt has changed when Trump showed up. Things have taken a very strange turn and many people have seen that things are not the same as they once where in this nation. I would just like to see a studied rebuttal rather than an opinion video with no honest assessment.

Seeing all the attention that is being given to the Prophecy of Esra’s Eagle has been great, and I have enjoyed seeing the various interpretations that have been posted. There are various ways in which this prophecy could be fulfilled. I believe that this prophecy will be fulfilled. Exactly how we will soon find out as the events of the last days unfold. One thing I have noticed is that things do not feel right to me regarding our political situation. Things haven’t felt normal to me since starting the final side of the short feathers of the eagle. It seems as if forces are behind the scenes making the moves, and as time goes on the fulfillment of the EE Prophecy seems to be more and more probable. I am extremely grateful for this prophecy because it has given me a new lens through which to view the political landscape in which we find ourselves. In the future… with hindsight, we will see exactly how this prophecy will be fulfilled. Let me share a few of the insights that I have… another possible scenario… What if the next few events from the prophecy were not as sensational as initially thought?… Trump's first term - Short Feather - (not going to get into why this could be considered a short feather) Biden’s term - Short Feather - (Biden forced out of the 2024 election) Harris and Waltz - Two small feathers that set themselves up to reign but never do because they are eaten by the Eagle Head… They set themselves up to reign because they have not been selected through the votes of the people… Trump's second term - The Head of the Eagle that eats or wins Harris and Waltz this November. This scenario is not as sensational as other interpretations that have been posted… but I believe it is a possibility to consider… The prophecy states that Biden will serve less time than Trump… The interesting thing about this scenario is that Biden could serve the full term of his presidency and still serve a shorter time than Trump because Trump would be serving a second term. Thank you for doing this. I agree with all you've said... except the coming of our Savior. Having said that, the Edzra's Eagle thing has never rung true to me. No doubt there are truths within it but, IMO, far too much credence is given it.
So this was posted 3 years ago and much has happened since then that the prophecy can still happen. I'm not ready to throw out Ezra. If you decide your interpretation is the only right one you will likely be let down.
I personally feel the time is very close but still much yet to happen plus there are things the lord wants me to do in this life. There are still many yet to be taught the gospel. It is a read so far I still have to read again.
I'm open to hearing others' views on this, but it seems to me that the way people have described this has been a bit misleading. Many describe Esdras Eagle as though each feather is described sequentially and they line up one by one with the presidents, but they don't. Esdras simply describes the 1st feather ruling, and then the 2nd would be longer than others, then the 3rd, and then he describes a group of rulers, and then talks about the two at the end. He doesn't describe each feather one by one, like many indicate. Vs 12: "And I looked, and, behold, on the right side there arose one feather, and reigned over all the earth;" (Hoover) Vs 13: "And so it was, that when it reigned, the end of it came, and the place thereof appeared no more: so the next following stood up. and reigned, and had a great time;" (Roosevelt) Vs 17: "There shall none after thee attain unto thy time, neither unto the half thereof." (after Roosevelt) Vs 18 "Then arose the third, and reigned as the other before, and appeared no more also." Vs 19: "So went it with all the residue one after another, as that every one reigned, and then appeared no more." So we have the 1st ruler, then the 2nd who rules a long time, and then the 3rd, and then a large group, and then the ones at the end. I'm open, but I just don't see how they line up one for one like it seems many have indicated. I think there is likely something to this, but it's a little disturbing to hear people describe it as though it all lines up one for one when it doesn't.

Moreover, 2 Esdras 11:7-8 specfically says they will not rule all at once but take turns. 7 And I beheld, and, lo, the eagle rose upon her talons, and spake to her feathers, saying, 8 Watch not all at once: sleep every one in his own place, and watch by course:
@@mguggaman I mean the text doesn't actually describe each individual feather as short or long, like many seem to indicate. It describes the first three and then a group and then some at the end. Is there any indication of how many are in the group after the first three?
@@jeff3olsen The text describes two sets of feathers. 11:1 says there are 12 feathers and then 11:3 says out of those 12 grew contrary short feathers, which he numbers as 8 in 11:11. The fact that he numbers the feathers in both sets implies that these sets are closed (there aren't feathers that he has not counted). Once we know the sets are closed, the sequencing is a matter of applying the rules in the text like a logic game. After describing the reigns of the first three in the sequence (11:12-14), the text plainly says the residue ruled one after another (11:19; 12:14). 11:8 gives an express command for the feathers to watch not all at once. The sequencing continues in 11:18-22. Verse 22 implies that the twelve rule in order but that there were 2 contrary feathers thrown in there somewhere too. 12:21 gives us an idea of where each of the contrary feathers grow among the set of 12. Two appear to grow around the middle point. The text doesn't say what the middle point is exactly, but we can reasonably infer that since 11:3 says some contrary feathers grow among the 12 feathers, and since 11:22 says that there were two contrary feathers that disappeared with the 12, then there are at least two contrary feathers embedded among the 12 feathers.

@@jeff3olsen No, it's not off by two. The pause in the action of the vision appears to be a break to take inventory of all the pieces. (11:23). It shows the set of contrary feathers that remain and have not yet taken their turn. He sees that two of them separate from the other four in the set (11:24) and have their turns at the very end (12:30). When the play button gets pressed, we see contrary 3, 4, 5, 6 take their turn. Then the heads, then contrary 7, 8. I interpret v. 26 as Trump, v. 27 as Biden, v. 28-31 as would-be POTUS 47 and would-be POTUS 48. I'm open to alternative interpretations and will be the first to admit that I won't be surprised if things turn out differently. I just don't think this interpretation makes as little sense as you are trying to convey.
Look at Morgan Philpot's version. He weaves it together a little more and the wings are equal and the short feathers are still feathers before the eagle heads. He includes Utah government time-line as well as US time-line.
Last days timeline was off a bit, but just in his assessment of who the next short feather was. He actually had some very good ideas that may show up further in the future. Ezra's Eagle is still playing out. Michael Rush, who discovered the connection with U.S. Presidents has been more conservative in his theories. We are watching Ezra's Eagle okay out right before our eyes. It is one of those things where we watch and wait. It isn't a matter of who right now, but the characteristics of the feathers. We are currently on the shortest feather. President Trumo did end up serving a shorter amount of time than the other presidents before him in the more recent past. Now we watch to see if Biden lasts even shorter than Trump. The next to who think they are going to rule could very well be an upcoming election that doesn't turn out because the middle eagles head eats the two candidates. It is the 2 that follow in the right head where things get really serious. They are saved for the end and the last one is the anti-christ. Cordinating II Esdras with the book of Daniel and Revelation 17:10-11 are 2 two other witnesses that Erzras eagle is actually right. I would look at Sherry McDermott's video about the 8th King- the one that was that comes again, from Rev 17:10-11. The anti-christ is a former president. Woooah! I never made that connection about Revelations! I was actually reading Revelations recently and I circled those exact scriptures because my thought process was, "...huh??" That is fascinating! I also had the same thought, that perhaps the two feathers who come after Biden are people running in an election. My mom thought perhaps it was possible that Harris would be one if Biden died because after finishing his term, she'd have to run again. Anyway, super interested to see how it all turns out. I personally do not 100% agree with Ezra's Eagle in the Apocrypha, but I do know the apostles and recent Prophets have been speaking to us all, mentioning how many of us will be here to see the Savior come. They have been building us up spiritually for these last days and I don't believe they are doing it "out of repetition". THAT would cause more heartache and apostasy to members than anything else. Secondly, I KNOW many patriarchal blessings mention, "you were reserved for the day of his coming" or "you were sent at this time to usher in the Savior". Third and last, these days are definitely prophesied and with many coming to pass, it is hardly "in the far distance". The time is NOW, we are at a hingepoint, where large doors open on small hinges. We have received many new insights and promises for our loved ones who have passed beyond the veil and for the membership of the church outside of America, etc. Personal revelation, dreams and visions are fulfilling a last days prophecy as well.. These are note worthy and to excuse them would be reckless with our spirituality and all the work we have all so diligently done FOR THE USHERING IN OF OUR LORD.
On November 11th, at 1:11 AM. I woke up from a very detailed dream. I was surrounded by fire, but wasn't worried or scared. I asked an instructor who was teaching me what was going on. He told "He is confirming the covenant with many for 1 week." I knew he meant Christ. I asked him "like, right now?" He responded "right now. Summer is here." And I saw a fig tree put forth its leaves. That's the short version.... I didn't tell anyone but my wife about it. A few days later, my 5 year daughter dreamt Christ was in our front your with 3 angels... Visions and dreams are happening....
Ezras Eagle is super interesting. It’s something you learn about and just wait to see if some of it comes to pass. Or when it does come to pass I’ll be like hmmm, I’m familiar with this. But there’s a reason it’s not part of our scripture canon. It could be mostly right. Obviously the left wing was right on and who knows about the other side. We’ve been told by the prophet we are in the last of the last days. The last few conferences are heavy in talk about seeing Christ return and having “front row seats” pretty sure it’s closer than you are thinking I only say that because of what prophet and leaders have said the last few years.

Closer examination of what is going on since 1.20.21 would tell you that the vision is still right on course. Byedan, or whoever that is wearing that face mask, would tell you that he is a good guy, rather working for the good guys. There are good guys, Q/military alliance, that is ridding the world of this evil that has loomed here since the beginning. Confirmation of this was given the very day he was ‘sworn’ in. The confirmation was given by the US Military with the ceremony that was performed. Not an inauguration, it just mostly looked like one, but rather the procedural aspects. Byedan got a state funeral, not an inauguration. Look at the Old Guard firing the cannons, ;Hail to the Chief’ was not played, the wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was changed, he was sworn in before noon. This reality is completely controlled by the 3 headed eagle. Their reign is over and they have been defeated. We are just watching the wake up portion of this. And whom actually defeated them? Well its in our scriptures and these writings as well. The scriptures are riddles, and clues, and codes. The spirit will reveal their true meaning if we can surrender our ego and replace it with the desire to learn the truth. The truth comes from God. If you you start finding shock and horror in your findings, then you are on the right track. Cognitive dissonance is real and must be defeated.The spirit testifying of the truth will do that.
I am always wary of those who do not put their names to articles but hide behind something so ambiguous as 'Gospel Lessons' At least Michael B Rush and James Prout put their names right up there and also show their faces. Yes, we know to live Christ-centered lives. We know that. We know that. We know that. But we still need to be aware of different things. We need to study and be knowledgeable about different possibilities. Doing so does *not* mean you are not centered on Christ.
I view all of this through the viewpoint and writings of Ezra Taft Benson who had a very different view of our government. FDR and others are certainly not the great leaders that most people claim they are. They wandered far from the divinely inspired constitution and have tied us down with the many bureaucratic messes we still have to deal with.

We can know with confidence "when" we are on God's prophetic calendar. It is written in the book of 2nd Esdras. Chapter 11 contains a prophecy that describes a line of American presidents, five of whom are still alive, and two of them are being kept until "the end." All of them are old men. So one minute you say, “don’t think the scriptures and prophecies of the last days apply to you or our current day events because mostly they don’t” and then the next you praise the guy who mapped out the prophecy of Ezra’s Eagle to current events, saying, “this is what people should be doing (I.e., reading and applying prophecies of the last days to our day)”. You can’t have it both ways.
Agreed but in truth it may still prove out but in a nordic prophecy way. You can only understand those when the prophecy comes full circle. Then in hindsight you see that it was foretold. 😉
I've watched other videos about Ezra's Eagle, but I've never been able to get the spirit of it. I feel that it's probably not something we need to worry about right now.

I could be wrong but it appears you have drawn your own conclusions as well based on what others have said. The prophets have testified that the scriptures speak to our day. We do need to study, pray, and listen and not just rely on the words of others. However, the gospel can still be taught via a podcast or TH-cam. As we seek the truth as mentioned it will prepare us for the Lord's coming. If we are to instruct, it should be through persuasion and long suffering. I don't believe we should be dismissive. Anyone who is actually listening to the prophet and the brethren will be able to see we are very close to the return of the Savior. I think sometimes many just don’t want to come to the realization that things may get scary. Most want to live out their lives attending to their own agenda.... work, do family life, retire, travel etc. Most just aren’t ready to accept that we are nearing midnight.

I watched all of your videos and find them interesting and insightful however I do not agree with your conclusion on Ezra's Eagle and that we won't be here for the end of the Millenial Reign. I sure hope I am worthy to be alive during the Millenium. Even if I have already died beforehand or changed in a twinkling of an eye, I believe we will always be living on the earth. Where else do you think we will be? I watched Prouts youtube videos but he was not the original interpreter of Ezra's Eagle & I do not believe he had the same witness as Michal Rush did who I believe was. He has many books now and done several interviews that show he is very knowledgeable and a humble follower of Christ and reiterates often that we need to seek the Spirit for ourselves to be able to 'see' what the scriptures mean.
This is great analysis. Predicting last day events is "spiritually dangerous" and completely missing the mark. The Savior wants us to focus on the first principals and ordinances of the gospel, becoming more like Him, repenting daily, serving others, temple worship, etc. The adversary will use last day events to distract us from that which will make us holier. Lets focus on being better disciples and leave the last day predictions to the Prophet.
Focus on the words of the prophet. In April he talked about peace. This October conference in talked about thinking celestial. Stay in the boat, follow the prophet, attend the temple and your church meetings, minister, listen to and follow the spirit.

I've studied Ezra's Eagle quite a bit and never heard this idea that the six feathers on the right would be against the three heads. I feel like you took that one idea that you must have heard somewhere and used it to discredit the interpretation that some have. I think you need to go back and check out other sources, not just the one that you seem to be quoting.

2 Esdras was NOT apocryphal in Joseph Smith's Day, pre- 1880 it WAS a part of the OFFICIALLY accepted cannon of the scripture by the brethren. The LORD did NOT relegate 2 Esdras as a second tier scripture but rather the Southern Baptist Convention of the late 19th century.

Joseph Smiths greatest achievement in life was to be able to bring about a holy record that, over almost 200 years, has been able to connect to every book of Christian theology.
He never said much about it, but the Apocrypha seems to have that name in JS time even though it wasn’t officially removed from the canon until 50 years after his death.
So it WAS part of JS upbringing. Very curious.
That said (going back to the original point) how do you think it’s possible that Michael B Rush (who co-Wrote the book) put together the research (research no one else has done, in or out of the church) over 30 years. Connected that prophecy to over 800 scriptures in both the Bible, BoM, AND the apocrypha. Only to be tripped up by one who hasn’t studied this out for himself?
To Michaels credit, he always states the path that the Lord, himself, uses. “Pray and get the spirit”. Or, in the words of President Nelson “Hear Him”.
It’s always nice to have something to compare if there are different opinions.
What I might suggest (and this would blow up your channel😁) is to host Michael Rush (he’s the guy you disagree with) and ask him these questions in a fair setting.

The interpretations of Ezra‘s eagle in those videos let me to look up and study Ezra‘s Eagles prophecy on chapter 11 and 12. Although the prophecy was misinterpreted when these people spoke about Ezra‘s eagle as far as saying that Mike Pence was going to be the next president, The prophecy does not say or state who those short feathers were going to be, it does state that the last two feathers on the right side were going to transfer over to the left. I first came to know of Ezra’s eagle back in 1991 as I was attending a class of Institute of religion and so happened that the instructor was teaching both of the old testament manuals where I saw for the first time Ezra‘s eagle. It took up the entire page and the feathers were numerated according to Ezra‘s Eagles prophecy. I believe that all of us should be reading, studying and pondering Ezra’s eagles prophecy very carefully and prayerfully as this prophecy is not fulfilled entirely yet.

Who is this person who does this channel? I can not find information on him anywhere. I like to research the person giving information before just taking what they say to be truth or even influenced by truth. If 2nd Esdras was written around 100 AD, how then is it found in the Dead Sea Scrolls which date back to 200 BC or earlier? Also, the entire Apocrypha is found in the Septuagint translation of the OT Which was the Old Testament used in the days of Jesus Christ.
I have studied Esdras 11 and 12 of the Kings James Version myself. Joseph Smith and the Saints at that time had the Apocrypha in their bibles while crossing the plains. It was removed by other religious groups later on. Remember the Bible had lost many of its plain and precious parts and we believe it to be the word of God as long as its translated correctly!! The Apocrypha is in a similar state. Joseph Smith used Egyptian papyri, as well. We should always pray about what we read and study to receive for ourselves the truth on all things. I truly believe this prophesy to be truthful!! It would have never been understood until our day as it would have made no sense until now. Many truths will continue to be revealed as we get closer to our Saviors coming that we now, and not before, will understand. The contrary feathers, I believe, have no specific definition. They could be anything that disrupts the order of the office term or that illegally or by act of evil takes out the one in office (i.e. conspiracy, cheating, murder, death, resignation, ect.) I also believe the presidents on the left side ( starting with Trump and Biden) have nothing to do with political affiliation but began a change in the season leading up to the second coming (possibly opening of 7th seal, Rev. 12 sign Sept 23 2017 that also occurred in the sky (same star/planet alignment ) when Joseph Smith received the plates on September 22, 1827, and the 1st of 2 solar eclipses that crossed over 7 cities named Salem, etc.) This prophesy also tells us what will occur in America during these last days and as the "Great Reset" that the EU, America, Canada, etc. try to push on the world through the World Economic Forum along with the Council on Foreign Relations try to set up a one World Government, they have to make all countries economically the same, so they have to bring the USA down to be equal (equity). So they are using Biden to do it, but I believe he will fail in some way and they don't want the next two in office to spoil their plans that they worked for years to implement and that's when the eagle heads take power ( in the open, not behind the scenes this time). No one can predict what exactly will transpire next but we have some breadcrumbs with Ezras Eagle....we just have to apply each piece as it happens.

I don't know why there are so many who think that the coming of Christ is a long way off. Is it actually wishful thinking? You like the cushy life style you have now and don't want it to end? Someone explain.
I imagine it is something like that mixed with fear. Someone very near and dear to my heart HATES talking about the second coming because only the bad stuff comes to mind and sends them into a panic. They had a really rough upbringing and their life now with their spouse and children is so good, that they fear all of that changing. Plus, they like worldly traditions like Halloween, Christmas etc (I'll admit I like them too, but they're very much consumerism and won't be around when Christ is here.) This person wants their children to have the life they never did with all the love and favorite traditions. They know the second coming will "rob" them of that, if you will. It's hard to look forward to something that instills fear in your heart. There's so much joy to be had when it's all said and done, though! I don't understand the thought that it's "still so far away" because the signs are so obvious, even this person I love admits that the signs are clear. Fulfilling the scriptures, though, when they say that the people will say that God delays the day.

I don't believe that the second coming is so far away that we won't live to see it. Just last year President Nelson gave a talk at BYU where he stated that every single person sitting in the audience that day was saved for the last days and would live to see the second coming.

Michael B. Rush is the one that tied Ezra's vision with the president's of the US. Many other people went wild with it.
I believe that it is still in play. I think that the event spoken of in 2.Esdras is going to play out within the next 2 years.
Even if there is only a 1.percent chance that Michael is right, wouldn't it be wise to study it and consider it before discounting it? And also go to Michaels interpretation and consider that as well as the original text. It has to do with our future and I think the Lord has given us many hints on what to expect we just to be open minded and seek learning by the spirit.
Honestly I think this video wasn't well researched. I believe the original author who connected Ezra's Eagle to the Unites States was Michael B. Rush. There have been a few who have piggybacked onto his work and have made many claims but non of them have put the work into it that Rush has and they have been wrong on interpretation, manly because I think they have been hyping it up for money or attention. I have read all of Ezra multiple times and I believe the prophesy coined "Ezra's Eagle" is very much in play and is accurate up to this point. Trump is indeed a short feather. I also feel the author of this video is not considering other aspects of this prophecy. For those who want some good supplemental sources on Ezra's Eagle I would definitely recommend Michael B. Rush's book "A Remnant Shall Return" , he also has a TH-cam channel with a few videos on various topics.

I agree. Michael B. Rush is the go-to source on this prophesy. He was the first. At any rate, the presidents and their lengths line up too perfectly. Plus it looks like Biden will be in office for an even shorter time than Trump. It will be very interesting to see what happens over the next 3-4 years. I have long appreciated Brother Rushes approach. He is humble and at the outset he issues a disclaimer that he is not speaking for the church.
I agree. I think it's a different author whose views I didn't agree with from the outset who divided the feathers between right and left and interprets what that may mean. I think that interpretation is off. I read 2 Esdras 11-12 many times and prayed a ton and received a lot of personal revelation on this topic before I read Rush or Prout. So I had my own ideas and understandings going in to it. I immediately agreed with almost everything Rush said about it and not really with what Prout said about it. I am wondering if the maker of this video was following Prout's discussions. Interestingly, last Thanksgiving Rush put out a video refining how he understands the definition of what a short feather is and it aligned with my interpretation as well. It was the one piece I felt was missing from his book, A Remnant Shall Return. I highly recommend that book coupled with prayerful consideration of the scriptural path he takes you on. And actually reading the scriptures he references. Excellent resource.
But, going back to section 91, the Lord put it on my heart for years that he had a big message for me in the apocrypha. Then when I found Ezra's Eagle the amount of personal revelation that flowed into my soul the first few times I read it, I knew that it was the message the Lord was preparing me for for years leading up to it. I have no doubt that prophecy is true and that it is speaking of our day. I can bear testimony of it.

I even commented to Prout not to give up on the interpretation of the prophecy. I think Prout piggybacked off of Rush's interpretation so he did not get the same witness that Rush received when the interpretation came clear to him. I studied the prophecies and all of Rush's writings and at first, I had a hard time making sense of the scriptures he spoke of but I kept trying and the interpretations became clear to me.

As we all seek to understand the craziness around us, I think we all should remember to always look for one of 2 things- objective truth and eternal truth. If we seek and follow those, we're gonna be on the right track.
You should study Michael Rush's writings who I believe is the original interpreter of Ezra's Eagle. I had a hard time making sense of how he got the interpretation that he did from those scriptures but I kept reading and studying and it became clear to me. Michael Rush says himself, that each person must seek the guidance of the Spirit to see and understand these things and not to take his word for it.
There are many permutations of Ezra Eagle.. I’ve read a few that didn’t feel right. I think letting the spirit speak the truth will help you recognize when something is right. We’re all trying to get this and Ezras eagle prophecy is one of many important things. One should not get too hung up on those things
Read Michael Rushs’ books or listen to his videos. His studies on Ezra’s Eagle are the most complete and studied
One of the reason why I enjoy and often prefer your videos of other who tend to make the same sort of content is that you don’t claim to have special and certain knowledge that others don’t, which is a clear sign of both false prophets and anti christs. I also like the change of pace how you don’t sit in front of the camera and say “hey look at me!” Not that there is anything wrong with that. But there are a few people who do that for their own image but many many others who don’t which I also enjoy.
It’s also very clear that you study the content you out out a lot before hand and use the process of revelation to learn by the spirit.m and share some of what you have learned.

I’m going to interject a thought that I don’t think is being considered: “why did the eagle wake up to begin with?” “What was actually disrupted and why, if the prophecy holds, would Biden ALSO be considered a disrupter?”
Because BOTH men took the country to vastly different sides of the pendulum.
The eagles were asleep because the pattern that was set was working as it should. And the government remained whole and intact.
Today, no matter which side of the isle you are on, the government is not intact. It no longer protects the people the way it used to. Both participants (Trump and Biden) have destroyed the balance. Therefore the eagle has to try to restore it. But it’s too late (IMO) for that to happen.
As Michael Rush has proposed, it’s not probable that a prophecy that has survived 100 years of speculative observation would be wrong now.
The author of the post you shared used QAnon as a legitimate resource. They don’t follow scripture and have not been around 100 years (much less thousands). So they can’t be considered as being linked to this prophecy in any serious conversation.
We are all following this prophecy on different levels. Some say it’s 100% fact. Others are following and studying to see where it goes. But they’re willing to be wrong.
My response to this is to let you know that it’s not wrong so far.

Or it could be the Eagle heads know Biden was not a good choice to put in power but they had no one else as electable. They probably know he will not last long - either mentally or physically. I don't know how it will all play out but when each feather is taken out we will know how close we are to the antichrist and need to be prepared to fight against him, or at least be able to stand against him, as Michael Rush says in his book Delight in Plainness that I am reading right now.

I think a video about the very last days after the millennium when statin is loosed again would be fascinating. We often tend to think the millennium is it and all will be over then and often overlook the great last war and what is actually going to happen.

Also the last 8 feathers are simply that. The LAST 8 before the anti Christ. Too many people got whipped up in trying to determine what a short feather was and what a long feather was. Thanks for this very fair look at Ezra's Eagle. I have read 2 Esdras a few times, and came to the conclusion that the popular interpretation of Ezra's Eagle didn't really "work." There were things that were stretched to attach meaning, and other things left out. Is there truth in these writings? Yes. Could there be errors? Again, the Lord says yes. It will be interesting to look back some day and see which things actually happened and what they meant. For now, I don't feel like this prophecy really helps us much to get ready to meet the Lord.
Nowhere in 2nd Esdras 11&12 does it say the left wing...it only describes the right wing. Many people have incorrectly assumed that starting with Trump the prophecy switched wings...this is not correct.
The most appropriate LDS interpretation of contrary feather should be a presidency ended prematurely by the modern day gadiaton robbers.
By stating you think this prophecy refers to the end of the millennium, you ignore chapter 12 verse 11 where It specifically refers to the same beast of Daniel 7. If you assume Daniel 7 is also at the end of the millennium, then we have TONS of issues you’ll have to explain.
This prophecy is perfectly in play at the moment.
Two interpretations I have thought of is: 1. 3 heads are schools of thought. Right head meaning conservatism. Left wing meaning liberal, and the middle meaning moderates. If that is the interpretation, then perhaps the moderates would get so frustrated with the left and right that they take over.
2. OR the right is republican, left is democrat, and the middle is the philosophy of the far left that overtake in power both the democrat and republican parties creating a problem of usurping power and persecuting the saints and religions. I am seeing this play out currently. But tides can always change.
3. The three heads being China, Russia, and Iran. Asleep during to the cold war. Then US America starts to go against the wishes of these empires. They begin to eat up the other heads and Christ comes.
I tend to feel the 2nd interpretation is more likely because “head” usually is symbolic for wisdom or thought. Look at how the left cancels everything and takes over in Washington.
I think it is worth considering that this book of apocrypha is specifically mentioned as being worthwhile in the Bible dictionary. Search, ponder and pray. These things can not be revealed by man but by spirit only. I appreciate this video as being the “devils advocate” for lack of a better word. Study both sides. It sound like 2 people are going to rule together, but the middle head eats them, then rules the Earth.
I believe the prophecy still stands as of today. The author interpreted the contrary feathers one way but it means obviously something else but the Presidents are still fitting.

Ever heard the saying "history repeats itself? " I believe that prophecy does too because many prophetic images are archetypes for events that occur across multiple time scales on multiple levels. Satan has a somewhat predictable MO, and so does God, but often tne patterns and fulfillments don't become clear except in retrospect, unless one actually possesses a legitimate prophetic gift. But even then, those who "know" are usually proscribed from letting it out, as God does not give his secrets out casually.

I'm trying to find "the section under the Apocrypha" in The Guide to the Scriptures that you quote here. In Gospel Library, this section doesn't exist, and my older set of scriptures doesn't have a "Guide to the Scriptures" so they must be too old. Can you give some clarification as to where you found this?

I clicked on the first link "TG Apocrypha" and that just said, "See BD Apocrypha" but when I clicked that it went straight to it. So it seems it's in the Bible Dictionary.

I feel the same way about the Apocryphal Books and I do about biblical movies. I put it in my head and then later forget which part was fact and which was fiction. Then I go to teach and look like a fool because I quoted a movie instead of the prophets. The risk of putting false or incorrect doctrine in my head isn't worth it.
Agreed...I have read parts of several and just don't get a positive witness in my spirit...like the book of wisdom...it seems to parallel parts of proverbs, but wisdom book speaks mostly about its self, verses proverbs alway going back to the Lord.. to God the Father.
The risk of consuming false doctrine is still pretty high even if you only read the standard works. There are a lot of interpolations of man in the KJV bible you find in every church building, some of which were theologically driven. 1 John 5:7-8 for example. Determining which texts are inspired isn't as simple as grabbing the standard works. There are texts outside the quad that are likely inspired such as the Book of Enoch. Best practice is to prayerfully read as much as possible, and see how other texts harmonize with what the Holy Ghost confirms to you is inspired.
"Contrary" is not used in a way that only connotes "being against the heads." Through translation and language differences the original terms could easily have meant something different like "on the other wing" or "chaotic/messy" or "opposing the normal order of election" etc etc etc. It's one of the few issues I find with Ezras Eagle. The numbers match up seemingly well up to now, but the slight mistranslation of a single word could also change the interpretation of future events just enough to deceive.
2 Esdras was NOT apocryphal in Joseph Smith's Day, pre- 1880 it WAS a part of the OFFICIALLY accepted cannon of the scripture. The LORD did NOT relegate 2 Esdras as a second tier scripture but rather the Southern Baptist Convention of the late 19th century.

I think that like many of the other presenters of Ezra's Eagle you missed one detail that when read properly it clears up the misunderstanding that makes people dismiss this prophecy because of Biden.
Almost everyone interprets the feathers on the eagle's right wing as feathers that go against the 3 eagle heads and tries to reverse what the heads have already done through the other feathers.
If you carefully read verse 25 you will see that that is not what it says:
25 And I beheld, and, lo, the feathers that were under the wing thought to set up themselves and to have the rule.
It says that they try to do things their way and not the 3 eagle heads way. It doesn't say they try to do what's right by America.
Now that that is cleared up you can see that at this point the prophecy seems to be right on track. We will know for sure within the next 2 years. If Biden is removed from office before the end of his term in office then we will know for sure.
I disagree with this. The Lords millennium makes an end of all nations and to presume that one minor flaw, amid so many other accuracies, makes the time frame incorrect simply doesn't make sense. Especially when you just covered that thier are INTERPOLATIONS by the hands of Men. We may not have a completely accurate account as it was not translated by the Prophet Joesph Smith. Also their is nothing that specifies what the contrary feather is for or against. Contrary could refer to, contrary to the constitution which is God's Law or it could mean contrary to the will of the people or "voice" that comes from the midst of the eagle. This prophecy will see fulfillment as we see the next president be removed even quicker than the previous president. Biden will be declared incompetent or unfit for office. I agree that the author of the book shouldn't have pre-supposed that pence would be the next in office but I don't see how the Prophecy is still not on track to be fulfilled. According to the vision the next two feathers after the short feather(Donald) are to be removed each in quicker succession than the former. It is my opinion that the current pres in his rapidly declining mental state will be removed by the 25th ammendment. If this is the case then after we see him removed from office we will see the next two pres assassinated according to the Prophecy. This leaves 3 heads and two feathers under the head on the right. The 2 remaining presidents feathers are also assassinated and then the 3 heads start to canabalize each other.
I was also thinking about the time frame. I think it most likely refers to the time before the Second Coming, for the reasons stated here.
He references 2 Esdras 12:25 which mentions "his last end", and I'll add verse 23 mentions "In his last days." I can understand why those phrases out of context could lead him to believe it could refer to the end of the terrestrial earth, and not the end of the telestial earth. However, I think it's vague enough that it could still be either. So I look at other context clues.
1) Literarily, "his last end" can mean "his ultimate purpose", rather than the last ending. It may not refer to a time frame at all.
2) Verse 23 also says that "In his last days shall the most High raise up three kingdoms, and renew many things therein, and they shall have the dominion of the earth." Christ will be king during the millennium (D&C 45:59 "He will be their king and their lawgiver"). These three kings will have dominion over the earth (v.23) and will rule with much oppression (v.24).
With Christ on earth, they could rule over a part of the earth at most. I just don't think the language "have the dominion of the earth" can correctly be applied to wicked leaders at the end of the millennium.
Then again, maybe this "little season" (D&C 29:22, 43:31, Rev 20:3, 7-10) has time to fit in 18 feathers and 3 heads, ruling with oppression, and murder.
3) Similarly, 11:6 says "all things under heaven were subject unto [the eagle]". During the millennium, all things under heaven will be subject to Christ. It is before the Second Coming that an organization like this eagle can have that kind of power.
4) 2 Esdras 11:45-46 say "appear no more, thou eagle … that all the earth may be refreshed". The earth being refreshed makes me think of AoF 1:10 "the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory". And the earth being refreshed after the eagle is gone reminds me of the fall of the great and abominable church, another "end time" event.
I suppose it could likewise be referring to D&C 29:23, "the end shall come, and the heaven and the earth shall be consumed and pass away, and there shall be a new heaven and a new earth."
To me, "refreshed" and "renewed" are much closer than "refreshed" and "consumed", so I have a preference there.
5) We simply don't have detailed revelations about the end of the Millennium. The verses we do have are brief. It would be a deviation from the pattern of revealed truth to have such a long, detailed revelation about that time period. (Assuming, of course, that it is an actual revelation.)
I’m late to this discussion but I appreciate your questioning attitude. So far, I haven’t heard an interpretation of Ezra’s Eagle that is palatable for me but I’ll keep searching.

Sounds like to me this video was mostly created to show his own opinion and possibly the opinion of his family, that Ezras Eagle is not accurate and therefore can’t be a Prophecy. He is missing a lot of key information here though.

Reading a few of the comments here, one can see how political this is. We are warned that “many false prophets” would arise and we are told not to be deceived. A false prophet doesn’t need to be a religious leader. He can be a king or a president or a political movement or a philosophy. When you mingle these things with scripture, they become especially dangerous! Satan will tell 100 truths so he can deceive you with 1 lie. We ARE living in a special time in the history of the earth and the Lord IS hastening his work. But so is the devil. I’ll ask again- what is the President of the Church of Jesus Christ saying? What are the authorized, “true messengers” of Jesus Christ - the Apostles- telling us? It’s not Ezra’s Eagle and it’s not right wing/left wing politics. There are “secret combinations” and “false prophets” among us, but we need to be careful because often they appear as “angels of light” (D&C 128 :20 , 1 Corinthians 11:13-15,) and as Jesus warned, “even the very elect,” might be deceived.

I’m disappointed in this video. I was expecting a more thoughtful, studied assessment of the prophecy but most of the video was just “I don’t think it applies to our day just because I don’t think it does.” No compelling case was made to counter the assessments that have been given by others and the explanation given here of those other interpretations was not well done. For example, interpretation has never mentioned that the “right wing feathers” are all against the Three Heads; only that the feathers fall into disarray contrary to the smooth transitions that happen with the “left wing feathers”. The left and right wings seem to separate periods of time which we have ALL felt has changed when Trump showed up. Things have taken a very strange turn and many people have seen that things are not the same as they once where in this nation.
I would just like to see a studied rebuttal rather than an opinion video with no honest assessment.

Seeing all the attention that is being given to the Prophecy of Esra’s Eagle has been great, and I have enjoyed seeing the various interpretations that have been posted. There are various ways in which this prophecy could be fulfilled. I believe that this prophecy will be fulfilled. Exactly how we will soon find out as the events of the last days unfold. One thing I have noticed is that things do not feel right to me regarding our political situation. Things haven’t felt normal to me since starting the final side of the short feathers of the eagle.
It seems as if forces are behind the scenes making the moves, and as time goes on the fulfillment of the EE Prophecy seems to be more and more probable. I am extremely grateful for this prophecy because it has given me a new lens through which to view the political landscape in which we find ourselves. In the future… with hindsight, we will see exactly how this prophecy will be fulfilled. Let me share a few of the insights that I have… another possible scenario… What if the next few events from the prophecy were not as sensational as initially thought?…
Trump's first term - Short Feather - (not going to get into why this could be considered a short feather)
Biden’s term - Short Feather - (Biden forced out of the 2024 election)
Harris and Waltz - Two small feathers that set themselves up to reign but never do because they are eaten by the Eagle Head… They set themselves up to reign because they have not been selected through the votes of the people…
Trump's second term - The Head of the Eagle that eats or wins Harris and Waltz this November.
This scenario is not as sensational as other interpretations that have been posted… but I believe it is a possibility to consider…
The prophecy states that Biden will serve less time than Trump… The interesting thing about this scenario is that Biden could serve the full term of his presidency and still serve a shorter time than Trump because Trump would be serving a second term.
In this scenario, Trump is the middle eaglehead.

Thank you for doing this. I agree with all you've said... except the coming of our Savior. Having said that, the Edzra's Eagle thing has never rung true to me. No doubt there are truths within it but, IMO, far too much credence is given it.

So this was posted 3 years ago and much has happened since then that the prophecy can still
happen. I'm not ready to throw out Ezra. If you decide your interpretation is the only right one you will likely be let down.
If our current leader is incompetent or is a big enough embarrassment , and costs the powers that be an election , it still fits .
I personally feel the time is very close but still much yet to happen plus there are things the lord wants me to do in this life. There are still many yet to be taught the gospel. It is a read so far I still have to read again.
I'm open to hearing others' views on this, but it seems to me that the way people have described this has been a bit misleading.
Many describe Esdras Eagle as though each feather is described sequentially and they line up one by one with the presidents, but they don't.
Esdras simply describes the 1st feather ruling, and then the 2nd would be longer than others, then the 3rd, and then he describes a group of rulers, and then talks about the two at the end. He doesn't describe each feather one by one, like many indicate.
Vs 12: "And I looked, and, behold, on the right side there arose one feather, and reigned over all the earth;" (Hoover)
Vs 13: "And so it was, that when it reigned, the end of it came, and the place thereof appeared no more: so the next following stood up. and reigned, and had a great time;" (Roosevelt)
Vs 17: "There shall none after thee attain unto thy time, neither unto the half thereof." (after Roosevelt)
Vs 18 "Then arose the third, and reigned as the other before, and appeared no more also."
Vs 19: "So went it with all the residue one after another, as that every one reigned, and then appeared no more."
So we have the 1st ruler, then the 2nd who rules a long time, and then the 3rd, and then a large group, and then the ones at the end.
I'm open, but I just don't see how they line up one for one like it seems many have indicated. I think there is likely something to this, but it's a little disturbing to hear people describe it as though it all lines up one for one when it doesn't.
I don't understand what you mean. The passages you quote specifically state that "so went it with all the residue one after another." One after another means each took its turn. Moreover, 2 Esdras 11:7-8 specfically says they will not rule all at once but take turns.
7 And I beheld, and, lo, the eagle rose upon her talons, and spake to her feathers, saying,
8 Watch not all at once: sleep every one in his own place, and watch by course:
@@mguggaman I mean the text doesn't actually describe each individual feather as short or long, like many seem to indicate. It describes the first three and then a group and then some at the end. Is there any indication of how many are in the group after the first three?
@@jeff3olsen The text describes two sets of feathers. 11:1 says there are 12 feathers and then 11:3 says out of those 12 grew contrary short feathers, which he numbers as 8 in 11:11. The fact that he numbers the feathers in both sets implies that these sets are closed (there aren't feathers that he has not counted).
Once we know the sets are closed, the sequencing is a matter of applying the rules in the text like a logic game. After describing the reigns of the first three in the sequence (11:12-14), the text plainly says the residue ruled one after another (11:19; 12:14). 11:8 gives an express command for the feathers to watch not all at once. The sequencing continues in 11:18-22. Verse 22 implies that the twelve rule in order but that there were 2 contrary feathers thrown in there somewhere too. 12:21 gives us an idea of where each of the contrary feathers grow among the set of 12. Two appear to grow around the middle point. The text doesn't say what the middle point is exactly, but we can reasonably infer that since 11:3 says some contrary feathers grow among the 12 feathers, and since 11:22 says that there were two contrary feathers that disappeared with the 12, then there are at least two contrary feathers embedded among the 12 feathers.

@@jeff3olsen No, it's not off by two. The pause in the action of the vision appears to be a break to take inventory of all the pieces. (11:23). It shows the set of contrary feathers that remain and have not yet taken their turn. He sees that two of them separate from the other four in the set (11:24) and have their turns at the very end (12:30). When the play button gets pressed, we see contrary 3, 4, 5, 6 take their turn. Then the heads, then contrary 7, 8.
I interpret v. 26 as Trump, v. 27 as Biden, v. 28-31 as would-be POTUS 47 and would-be POTUS 48.
I'm open to alternative interpretations and will be the first to admit that I won't be surprised if things turn out differently. I just don't think this interpretation makes as little sense as you are trying to convey.

Look at Morgan Philpot's version. He weaves it together a little more and the wings are equal and the short feathers are still feathers before the eagle heads. He includes Utah government time-line as well as US time-line.

Last days timeline was off a bit, but just in his assessment of who the next short feather was. He actually had some very good ideas that may show up further in the future. Ezra's Eagle is still playing out. Michael Rush, who discovered the connection with U.S. Presidents has been more conservative in his theories. We are watching Ezra's Eagle okay out right before our eyes. It is one of those things where we watch and wait. It isn't a matter of who right now, but the characteristics of the feathers.
We are currently on the shortest feather. President Trumo did end up serving a shorter amount of time than the other presidents before him in the more recent past. Now we watch to see if Biden lasts even shorter than Trump.
The next to who think they are going to rule could very well be an upcoming election that doesn't turn out because the middle eagles head eats the two candidates. It is the 2 that follow in the right head where things get really serious. They are saved for the end and the last one is the anti-christ.
Cordinating II Esdras with the book of Daniel and Revelation 17:10-11 are 2 two other witnesses that Erzras eagle is actually right. I would look at Sherry McDermott's video about the 8th King- the one that was that comes again, from Rev 17:10-11. The anti-christ is a former president.

Woooah! I never made that connection about Revelations! I was actually reading Revelations recently and I circled those exact scriptures because my thought process was, "...huh??" That is fascinating! I also had the same thought, that perhaps the two feathers who come after Biden are people running in an election. My mom thought perhaps it was possible that Harris would be one if Biden died because after finishing his term, she'd have to run again. Anyway, super interested to see how it all turns out. I'm totally willing to be wrong, but it just feels too accurate to be incorrect. Also, do you happen to know the name of the channel for Sherry? I personally do not 100% agree with Ezra's Eagle in the Apocrypha, but I do know the apostles and recent Prophets have been speaking to us all, mentioning how many of us will be here to see the Savior come. They have been building us up spiritually for these last days and I don't believe they are doing it "out of repetition". THAT would cause more heartache and apostasy to members than anything else. Secondly, I KNOW many patriarchal blessings mention, "you were reserved for the day of his coming" or "you were sent at this time to usher in the Savior". Third and last, these days are definitely prophesied and with many coming to pass, it is hardly "in the far distance". The time is NOW, we are at a hingepoint, where large doors open on small hinges. We have received many new insights and promises for our loved ones who have passed beyond the veil and for the membership of the church outside of America, etc. Personal revelation, dreams and visions are fulfilling a last days prophecy as well.. These are note worthy and to excuse them would be reckless with our spirituality and all the work we have all so diligently done FOR THE USHERING IN OF OUR LORD.
On November 11th, at 1:11 AM. I woke up from a very detailed dream. I was surrounded by fire, but wasn't worried or scared. I asked an instructor who was teaching me what was going on. He told "He is confirming the covenant with many for 1 week." I knew he meant Christ. I asked him "like, right now?" He responded "right now. Summer is here." And I saw a fig tree put forth its leaves.

Ezras Eagle is super interesting. It’s something you learn about and just wait to see if some of it comes to pass. Or when it does come to pass I’ll be like hmmm, I’m familiar with this. But there’s a reason it’s not part of our scripture canon. It could be mostly right. Obviously the left wing was right on and who knows about the other side. We’ve been told by the prophet we are in the last of the last days. The last few conferences are heavy in talk about seeing Christ return and having “front row seats” pretty sure it’s closer than you are thinking I only say that because of what prophet and leaders have said the last few years.
I see what you’re saying about why the apocrypha isn’t part of our scripture cannon but I’m not sure it’s the only reason. What if Ezra’s Eagle isn’t in there is so to try our faith? Closer examination of what is going on since 1.20.21 would tell you that the vision is still right on course. Byedan, or whoever that is wearing that face mask, would tell you that he is a good guy, rather working for the good guys. There are good guys, Q/military alliance, that is ridding the world of this evil that has loomed here since the beginning. Confirmation of this was given the very day he was ‘sworn’ in. The confirmation was given by the US Military with the ceremony that was performed. Not an inauguration, it just mostly looked like one, but rather the procedural aspects. Byedan got a state funeral, not an inauguration. Look at the Old Guard firing the cannons, ;Hail to the Chief’ was not played, the wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was changed, he was sworn in before noon. The flags hanging on the Capital were different - number of stars. There was more. Point is, pay close attention, go back and study Trump’s time in office including his inauguration. Notice the moment at the beginning where the military stood behind him and he said that he was transitioning the power of DC back to the People. Turn off the media, both sides lie. This reality is completely controlled by the 3 headed eagle. Their reign is over and they have been defeated. We are just watching the wake up portion of this. And whom actually defeated them? Well its in our scriptures and these writings as well. The scriptures are riddles, and clues, and codes. The spirit will reveal their true meaning if we can surrender our ego and replace it with the desire to learn the truth. The truth comes from God. If you you start finding shock and horror in your findings, then you are on the right track. Cognitive dissonance is real and must be defeated.The spirit testifying of the truth will do that.

I view all of this through the viewpoint and writings of Ezra Taft Benson who had a very different view of our government. FDR and others are certainly not the great leaders that most people claim they are. They wandered far from the divinely inspired constitution and have tied us down with the many bureaucratic messes we still have to deal with.

1 and 2 Esdras WERE part of the KJV at the time of the founding of the LDS church and were removed in 1885.
Confirmation bias. Makes it so you see what you want to see. I'm glad you are doing a video about this. I personally don't believe that God has hidden some key to the last days in the apocrypha for people to find or in some other obscure or hidden quote/talk.
Edras was in the Bible when Joseph Smith was alive, so it wasn't hidden. It was taken out years after he died.

We can know with confidence "when" we are on God's prophetic calendar. It is written in the book of 2nd Esdras. Chapter 11 contains a prophecy that describes a line of American presidents, five of whom are still alive, and two of them are being kept until "the end." All of them are old men. "The end" is fast approaching.
Ezra wrote Second Esdras, chapters 11, 12, and 13 many centuries ago, long before the United States existed, yet he accurately describes a line of 15 US presidents starting with Hoover. This 100-year-long prophecy began fulfilling on March 4, 1929. It is now 95% complete. Its perfect fulfillment to this point has established its credibility. Ezra was not guessing.

So one minute you say, “don’t think the scriptures and prophecies of the last days apply to you or our current day events because mostly they don’t” and then the next you praise the guy who mapped out the prophecy of Ezra’s Eagle to current events, saying, “this is what people should be doing (I.e., reading and applying prophecies of the last days to our day)”. You can’t have it both ways.
Agreed but in truth it may still prove out but in a nordic prophecy way. You can only understand those when the prophecy comes full circle. Then in hindsight you see that it was foretold. 😉

I've watched other videos about Ezra's Eagle, but I've never been able to get the spirit of it. I feel that it's probably not something we need to worry about right now.

I could be wrong but it appears you have drawn your own conclusions as well based on what others have said. The prophets have testified that the scriptures speak to our day. We do need to study, pray, and listen and not just rely on the words of others. However, the gospel can still be taught via a podcast or TH-cam. As we seek the truth as mentioned it will prepare us for the Lord's coming. If we are to instruct, it should be through persuasion and long suffering. I don't believe we should be dismissive. I appreciate your thoughts.
