This is absolutely riveting to me. I am 63 now but ever since I was a little boy I have doodled different designs for one person boats, and pondered on how little my daily budget can be once pared down to an enjoyable minimum. The less you have to go wrong, the more enjoyment time you have. Sailing minimalism is so logical and sensible, a bit like Annie Hill, the wonderful author of Voyaging On A Small Income. This morning I found you for the first time through the lovely video by Sailing La Vagabonde's channel, and now I intend to watch and read your entire output as I'm certain it will be fascinating. Thank you so much Yrvind for being such a great inspiration.
Astonishing attention to detail, and methodical in his approach -- have to wonder at his planning and thinking through every detail from vessel design, safety and comfort to calories consumed over time... a one-man NASA of the high-seas...

Hi Sven, have you ever considered designing a pedal powered propulsion system for your boat. Using something like that would give you opportunity to exercise during a voyage with the bonus of some extra miles and help keep your physical condition in your legs. Your designs are amazing but limit amount of physical exercise you can do due to space constraint….. just a thought. Colin
