Brilliant. VR could introduce a whole new generation to art in a way never possible before. You can imagine going to view art in a museum, then being able to go home and explore the spaces in VR in more depth.
I was able to see this when I saw the Beksiński exhibit in the Polish museum of Chicago, I was so absolutely astounded by it. As a fan of his work it was so interpersonal to step into that world, to explore all the sensations. I cannot say enough how much I'm pleased I got the opportunity to see it first hand. The music in the entire video just absolutely made it too (if I could get the names of the songs that were used in the performance, I would be smitten!)
I saw that today and it is absolutely stunning. There is something worrisome in Beksiński's works. I would recommend to see this. Totally worth spending money.
Absolutely stunning. Beautiful. I have a concern, though. A HUGE element of Beksinski's work relies on what you cannot see. I feel it would be almost violating to be able to peer directly into that crib, if you are allowed to. Freedom, with some artistic restrictions seems vital.
***** As I am great fan of Beksinski's work mainly because of the unspoken story that lies behind those magnificent paintings and the questions the viewer is left with, I sincerely hope that I will be able to find balance between original and VR content in those reinterpretations. I had opportunity to answer similar question regarding that topic and background of the project in interview for The Rift Arcade www.theriftarcade.com/de-profundis-lets-you-step-into-the-paintings-of-zdzislaw-beksinski/
Absolutely amazing , being able to peer into a 3D version of the world of one of my favorite artists is totally mindblowing , I can't wait to see where this goes !
That image of the blue-hooded figure next to a baby crib reminds me of Mergo's Wet Nurse in Bloodborne. Anyone else? I wonder if the painting inspired that boss fight.
Im sure all soulsborne games was inspired in some parts by Beksinski paintings. Its all over the place, and Margo's Wet Nurse is just one of more obvious one. It would be great if someone who can reach Miyazaki personally, could ask him about it.
Looks cool, but these don't really do the paintings justice. Definitely looks like fake CG, whereas Zdzislaw created an otherwordly atmosphere that you can feel in your bones as you look at his paintings. This completely misses that and makes his painting look like a cheap videogame. The concept is great, but I think the execution is a bit lacking.

Byłam, widziałam - niezapomniane przeżycie, genialny pomysł i wykonanie, dosłownie zapiera dech i wyciska łzy z oczu.

I love how VR's potential can be explored in so many different art forms, not only games. Love your work. Keep going!
This looks awesome, I would love to use VR to experience this, and museums around the world :)
Powinno być "famous Polish painter". W języku angielskim przymiotniki utworzone od nazw krajów piszemy wielką literą.

Genialne :D
Can anyone give a link for the music?
Came to the comments to ask the same thing. Disappointed nobody's answered yet.
Music is taken from traditional orthodox church in greece. I think it's a part of some ceremony sang at the church.
@@inesmaysarah5768 It sounds more like a muslim chant.
