Omigod!! I'm happy someone else posted this again, because as much as I adore the OST version...there are just some things I like about the live more. For the feral energy from each starkid really does sell it if I'm being honest! Especially Curt and Jeff (who are clearly going harder than need be! Though that of course is why we appreciate em. :P) Like there are plenty of things that stand out from this particular number... -Like the moment at around 0:41 it's shot so exceptionally!! -Or the moment at 1:25 since shows how Linda and Tom's goals are similar in a way! Something that's definitely overlooked. -And of course with Frank at 1:55 that I must say Corey killed with how exhausted and angry he genuinely sounded during the segment. Definitely shows that Corey should have bigger roles such as this one. :) Black Friday is some of the Team's best work! Can't wait to see what's next for hatchetfield... *(Especially with how great Nightmare Time was! ;>)*

I like it because a couple times she does get swept by wiggly's manipulation. Like at the end, she mentions how it only works on adults, but she's a teenager. Halfway to adulthood, but still a child. So half convinced. Idk if that was intentional or not but I always found it interesting

Listening to this again and just thinking about how in the circling choreography part, Jon is actually somewhat distinct from the others. Like, more specifically, he's put in the inner circle with the women rather than in the outer circle, which makes him distinguishable, and also when they all reach up to grab Wiggly in the end, he's in the front and doing grabby fingers and I don't know if that was just coincident and just him moving his fingers about but like. I like to think that it's a fun reference to him being the VA for Wiggly cos his fingers mimic the tendrils lmao
The fight for the Wiggly Doll is a bit like Dante’s fourth circle of hell. Consumed by greed, everyone works together to take the doll, but the moment anyone has it everyone turns on them.
I a version of this where its the studio singing but all the background noise (including fighting music and things like the iconic FUCK YOU ALL at the start)
This is by far my favourite song in this musical, it's just so perfect specially taking into account the choreography and staging. And let me just add that Robert's singing at 0:34 is literally angelic. That man is perfect I'm-

Then at some point in the song Robert Manion, James Tolbert and Joey Richter leave. 1:07 is the last time we see Robert, who presumably leaves off a stage-left door (The right side as we see it) 1:52 is the last time we see James, who is then followed by Joey, then at 1:55 we see Joey's back disappearing through a stage-left door (Probably the same door as Robert), it can be assumed Joey is still following James. James also takes the 1st Wiggly doll with him, leaving Corey with the last doll for the running in circle bit, which also lets us see the 3 have gone entirely. I assume this is so the 3 can get changed, into Ethan, the Cinema teen and security guard (I think?) respectively, with Kendall taking the 1st wiggly doll to use as the 'original' doll, which she was given before this song.
