WOW that's a haul! This is the kinda deal everyone wants to land on....
I had a similar experience many years ago, also at a garage sale. They had a bunch of old Funko bobbleheads, including several of the San Diego Comic Con special exclusive colors. I was looking to just get a few of them(think they had about 30 or so of them altogether). They said if you take em all, you can have them for $50. I counteroffered $40(actually that was all the cash I had!). They took it, and i went to a vintage car show the next weekend where I had a swap meet booth. My car was so full of merch and my tables and tent, that i carried the boxes on my lap(I wasn't driving!). We sold most of them at that show and the next one that was local.
Another good find, also from a different garage sale in the same town, was a group of the Racing Champions Ed Big Daddy Roth cars, with his artwork on the cards. I had a few but got several more i didn't have. Took those to another hot rod show, and sold them to a guy from Brisbane, Australia!
You have to get a few good finds like these, to make up for the times you hunt and get nothing, or can't get much out of what you do find. Our super hot summer left a lot of collectors with ridiculous electric bills, so the last several shows I've been to in the Houston, Texas area have been "break evens". After i pay my table fee and pick up a couple good deals, I have spent what little I made....

What is your rescource for information on rarity and variations?? I recently bought a similar (mostly in boxes) Matchbox collection of about 200 cars. I am not finding any good scource for the rarer variations etc. Matchbox wiki is limited and Matchbox University list variations but does not suggest which ones are rare.
Any help?

You can always look up the cars on eBay and see what they are going for. If one is very high price that might mean it’s rare but there’s also websites on old matchbox that talk about variations and rare variations of the car.
