The 1080p resolution limit of this app shows that bandwidth limitation is why Apple currently has only one 4K virtual display support. Four 1080p virtual screens is equivalent to one 4K screen in terms of the number of pixels. It's only a matter of time before we see if Apple can add another 4K virtual screen, perhaps by using foveated rendering to only stream the full resolution of just one virtual screen when the user is looking at it while streaming a lower quality for the other one-which will be in the periphery.
you can have 4k resolution and 5 virtual displays if you have immersed pro
@@justchill-eq9qsand it becomes 5fps or just all the 5 4k screens looks like 720p screens? Because you don’t have thousands Gb/s bandwidth.
@@nagyFerko It doesn't take that much bitrate per 4K screen. It depends on what codec you use but 40~50Mbps per 4K is pretty good.
@@nucleiis that’s compressed. Calculate how much data actually is one 4k image without compression.
@@nagyFerko That's the point. No one uses uncompressed images for remote display. Apple, Immersed, Meta, Virtual Desktop.. literally everybody uses compression.

First thing out of the gate that we know: Immersed (Beta) doesn’t support visionOS windows being open, while Splitscreen does!

He do you have a WiFi 5, 6, or 6E router? Important to know, in regards to latency.
Is this better than the split screen version
The last time I used Immersed on my MacBook Pro, all my email apps were dead. I had to reinstall the OS to recover from this bug.
How’s the 1080p screen quality comparing to the version on quest 3 ?
It feels a bit clearer on AVP, but not day/night difference.
Does it require iCloud keychain like the visionOS screen mirroring? If not, that’s a really big improvement.

They’re both on the same 5G fiber network. Cursor has no latency I could see.
Can you use a mouse on immersed (Vision Pro) considering that it's screen mirroring
You can use the laptop mouse with no issues. Not sure what you mean otherwise. If you were to link a Magic Mouse directly to AVP you probably wouldn't need Immersed running to mirror your laptop.
Side question sorry is worth buying the 256g memory or the apps/os are to large?
I don’t think so most of the heavy storage is done in the cloud these days. I haven’t had any issues with the base model.

Does it work with just MacBooks or have you tried other lap tops ?
I've only tried my MacBook but I'm pretty sure it works across Windows and Linux.

Yeah, this is a nice feature and all, but I'm not sure if i wanna spend 124 bucks on just an app that allows you to use your Macbook in Vision Pro.
Well you can use your Macbook in Vision Pro with Vision OS out of the box, the main limitation being you just get to mirror one display. The Immersed app does have a free option as well, allowing you to mirror 2 more displays. You only need to pay if you want to have up to 5 displays.
If Apple u[dates this natively, that would be awesome.
I'm guessing they will in Vision OS 2.0 later this year.

I'm pretty sure it works with Windows.
I think immersed can only be a full space app right now where you can't use other vision OS apps alongside. Maybe Apple is restricting them to be a shared app since that would completely undermine their own screen mirroring function.
There are other screen mirror solutions that works. And apps can actually run multiple windows so it probably because it’s a beta and they just wanted to show us something as soon as they could
This is a fundamental decision made by the dev
Vision Pro supports immersive experiences which take over your environment, this is using that paradigm. If this was using the mixed reality paradigm, it would have no effect on your other visible apps
Maybe you all with the Quest should graduate from your tricycle 😅😅.

AHAHAHA 😀 Only 1080p per screen. I can stream with the Quest 3, 3 x 4K 120p!!! since AGES 🤣🤣🤣 This is like kindergarden screen streaming! And this from such an "Pro" headset ? Cmon!

@@ralexand56 Clown, it does, when you go close to a video you get the 4K, on the Pro you see pixel garbage going too close to the screen. Learn the difference between screen resolution and video resolution. Clown. 😂😂😂 Not even mentioning pixel subsampling. 🤣🤣🤣
