Kenya is still a few years behind SA but it’s quickly catching up, just a few years ago, these upperhill roads were dirt roads, I’m sure with time even the pavements will be addressed especially now that Nairobi has brand new leadership
Quite some major improvements if you ask me. First, the area was not planned for such developments. Those roads were rushed . Most aren't even more than 10 years old. It was a residential area that was absorbed by CBD. You'll notice the same with areas like Westlands. The problem with Kenyan contractors is poor workmanship. Another thing is corruption at the county offices. Also, there' the issue of private interests in Nairobi metropolitan. If someone in power ain't benefiting then it's never their priority.

Another GREAT VIDEO from Afrikan Traveller 🔥🔥🔥 Love the way Nairobi is partitioned into different Districts. 1) Central Business District 2) Upper Hill Business District 3) Westlands Business District Depending on which Business District you look at, you might not know if that's really Nairobi. KICC is what always reminds you that you are in Nairobi, Kenya.
*Sandton* in *South Africa* is still the richest square mile in all of *Africa* . I strongly believe *Nairobi* have pulled away from *Accra* and *Lagos* for second place.....🤔
WOOOOOOOOW👍🏽 This wealth will trickle down to the rest of the country , one way or another. I need to come back home ASAP. When the capital of a country does well, the rest of the country unknowingly gets to enjoy too.
Growth and development is good... I only weep for the trees that keep being felled and seldomly replaced to give way for these buildings, .....i feel like Nairobi is choking on concrete not to mention the negative impact on our health and environment.. We should have a law mandating every developer of land, private or otherwise, to plant a minimum number of trees and possibly grass for every building /roads constructed... Love your videos, always on point....
Some of these environmental comments are made from a point of mega-ignorance. Go to any tower in Upper Hill and then see how green Nairobi is,there is no shortage of trees.
@@rodneyagesa1851 There is a shortage of trees anywhere you look in the world and Nairobi is no exception., research shows that Nairobi is getting hotter as the years go by and this can be directly linked to all the trees we are felling for infrustructure and housing development. We should be on a national drive to push back the deserts and the arid/semi arid areas of the country, this would at least compensate for all the trees we are cutting down.
@@MrMaboboz those are your theories regarding Nairobi go to any high rise building and you will find that over 60% of Nairobi is actually covered by forest. Global warming is happening but Africa and Kenya in particular has had very little contribution to cause it.
@@rodneyagesa1851 you do realize Nairobi isn't just upper hill and it's environs.... Matter of fact climb down from the towers you mentioned in upper hill and take a tour of Nairobi, you will find that kwa ground things are different... I'll give you a clue, visit south b areas around Balozi estate, pipeline coming toward donholm, some parts of Rongai, major parts of eastlands, ....feel free to research on other areas, Nairobi is large, then come back, let's have this conversation when you have a clue of what's being discussed here..
May i add the fact that metric system is also imperial and so is English language, if you really wanna go down that rabbit hole! We live in an increasingly more global village and therefore we should have an open mind. Let's enjoy and appreciate this ambassador who is making us proud 👏

I love the music you use, especially when it matches the environment that is being presented. Your vlogs are fantastic quality and material too. Thanks again and keep up the good work. 💕 For 🇰🇪 From the 🇬🇧👍
You most welcome, thanks for catching up.
Another amazing video 🔥🔥🔥. Always inspiring!
Thanks Bro 😊
I am from Uganda.I liked the sky line& orderly city of Nairobi.
Thank you Afrikan Traveller for showing our beautiful city to the world in an objective and authentic way. Keep going man.
I like the informatic intro! Proud to see our family growing! Followed at 300-ish
Clip tamu hivi nitatoa nguvu ya kuskip ad wapi ...kali sana Afrikan Traveller🔥
Hahaha thanks maze.
I love Nairobi, So beautiful.
Also the opportunities in this city were worth me packing my bags one day from home/coast. Nairobi has grown my career. African Traveler good job bro🔥. #newsub
Thank you Bro.
What happened to all the trees?please give us one more tour once the 88 condominiums are complete.Great infrastructure
Keep up your outstanding contribution ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
88 is under construction and so far so good, there have been no hindrances as we’ve seen with other tower projects.
👍
There are plenty of trees in Upper Hill and the surrounding areas.
Another GREAT VIDEO from Afrikan Traveller 🔥🔥🔥
Love the way Nairobi is partitioned into different Districts.
1) Central Business District
2) Upper Hill Business District
3) Westlands Business District
Depending on which Business District you look at, you might not know if that's really Nairobi.
KICC is what always reminds you that you are in Nairobi, Kenya.
I always thought it's Westlands Shopping District instead.
Karibu sana Kenyandamu.
Haha upper hill is for law firms coz court is near 😹
Noma,a good way to end my day, thanks for the work your put in producing such educative videos.heko
You most welcome sana. Glad to have made your day.
@@AfrikanTraveller shukran,be safe
I might not comment Everytime but keep up the good work 👌
Appreciate a lot for the support 😊
Nairobi big ups, making not only Kenya proud but the continent
@AT westy is on another level interms of businesses in upperhill most of this buildings are empty coz of pricing
Great great music selection
Glad you loved them.
Loved the video...the song selection👌🔥🔥... Stacy Kamatu was my school mate back in Primary.
Wow!!! She does some awesome music, pass my regards.
Great content and I really loved the background music, good work.
An acre of land at upperhill @ 600m kshs, 10bn Tz shs and 16bn Ug shs. Waow this is massive.
Bro you're video s Are awesome
*Sandton* in *South Africa* is still the richest square mile in all of *Africa* . I strongly believe *Nairobi* have pulled away from *Accra* and *Lagos* for second place.....🤔
I believe in Sub Saharan Africa upperhill will easily take the second spot.
@@AfrikanTraveller seems someone has not heard of banana island and Eko atlantic it can even beat asokoro in abuja
Before Sandton, there is Banana Island in Lagos
@@pauldirisu9359 have they started building infrastructure on banana island?
@@itgamingke yes they have but it's still mostly under construction
Fantastic stuff as usual. We appreciate you @AT
Appreciate you guys sana.
Excellent ad beautiful country growing fast wooow
Upper Hill is clean and well organized. Would be interesting to know which parts of Nairobi host people who work here
Mmmmh! Come to thing of it🤔🤔
Upperhill itself has many apartments, others live in Madaraka, Highrise (areas along Mbagathi road), Kilimani, Lavington (areas along Ngong road) etc
This is very nice 👌 proud to be a 🇰🇪 Kenyan
Nairobi is beautiful. Is there a particular reason for the lack of traffic lights🚦? Zambia in the byu byu
No exact reasons.
Watching from the Twin Cities. Definitely not the Nairobi I knew 20 years ago. Gotta check out this place next time I'm in Kenya.
So much has changed since then, you should definitely check it out next time you visit.
Beautiful part of the City maze..enjoying the Vdeo,Dubai, UAE.
Wow upper hill has really changed. Very impressive we are growing kudos.
Good job brother. Please do a repeat of the new incoming western bypass from Kikuyu to Ruaka. Thank you
Just did the drone the other day, let's give it a bit of time.
@@AfrikanTraveller Ok Sir let's wait maybe until it's over. Thanks a lot.
The way u market kenya ,ministry of trade should come for u give Ambassador post
Its must visit when I come to Nairobi in next couple of months
I was 8 months away and mahn, the subscription rate is high .. This channel is awesome. Good job 👍
Wish the town planners had incorporated green spaces in this area. It would be a greater place to live in!
Uhuru park is a stone throw away.
Great video best choice of 🎶 🎵 background
Thank you.
Always a pleasure to watch the traveler.
Upper hill looks soo beautiful...it looks very different from the cbd...and where are people in upper hill????
Good job, your videos make me feel like am at home
You most welcome.
WOOOOOOOOW👍🏽 This wealth will trickle down to the rest of the country , one way or another. I need to come back home ASAP. When the capital of a country does well, the rest of the country unknowingly gets to enjoy too.
Nice video Afrikan traveller
Thank you.
I agree we need more parks, open spaces and trees to compensate for all the concrete.
Our president is doing a commendable job on infrastructure.
Its not the President lol
@@bellaolum9768 so how is doing it?
Please! 🙄
The corruption in those projects is not commendable at all!
Ati commendable job lol.
I would suggest using Metres and Kilometers as kenyans use metric system..... not imperial
I think he is doing this for his American subscribers, but they can always use a converter since majority of the world uses metric
May i add the fact that metric system is also imperial and so is English language, if you really wanna go down that rabbit hole! We live in an increasingly more global village and therefore we should have an open mind. Let's enjoy and appreciate this ambassador who is making us proud 👏
@@dennisnyambane8530 No, the metric way is not considered as a imperial system.
@@dennisnyambane8530 Yeah. You can just switch to google your convert it to any system. Not a big deal. Not relevant
Very nice. Now let's make the whole of Africa as nice, clean and organised as Upper Hill. Keep up the good work brother.
Good Video Upper hill has real become commercial hub
You just did it....named yourself a road😀😀😀😀😀
Hopes can move Mountains😀😀😀
Once all Upper Hill & Downtown (CBD) roads are re-tarmacked, it'll be splendid
The electricity lines are disturbing may Kplc do something ,plus the roads need Traffic lights on each section .
4:08 nduthi gang doing what they do best, that was a close call, glad you weren't pushing the numbers like you always do
The road had somany corners that's why I was not speeding.
These rogues should be thrown out of CBD, they don't follow traffic rules. They come in handy for sure, if only they followed traffic rules.
@@theworldtraveller8481 not only in the CBD they should only operate in estate roads and shags better tuk-tuk
nduthis reminds me of those dusty , chaotic west african towns like lome in togo or cotonou in benin or even ougagadogou.. they scream poverty...lol
Hey African travelers am always looking forward for your updates. Thanks for the good work your representing in a big way. I like this video of upper hill development. And much appreciated. However since there were more than one project taking place especially on the roads around it. These roads has not been highlighted by any youtuber in details particularly on the progress and in-depth details. And if possible could you please highlight more separately so we understand whats happening.... thank you again Johnes.. for good work.
Thank you African Narratives, will try to get audience with the contractor.
