HAHA, I saw that too, the guy in the cougar.... he got in there and could tell he was smokin the tires inside with the plume of smoke coming out. Not sure if he blew the engine or why he couldn't back it out all the way and keep going.

Last time I was at a trailer race they didn’t remove the fibreglass insulation from the walls of the trailers. They started to smash apart and the whole crowd was covered in flying insulation dust and breathing that crap in. It was awesome to watch but I had to go home to shower and wash my clothes.
Very disappointing, too. If you're on that track and you're still mobile, you're fair game. You can expect to get smacked. British "banger" racing is considerably more intense in this regard.

Safety improvement, a mechanical lens red could be placed on sports light and be triggered via a signal system, so when a red flag happens the switch puts the red lens infeont of the light casting everywhere or something similar... For people to stop slow for recovery in process.

I love the blacktop tracks ! The one near me that was black top it's whole life since the 50s was ripped out by the new owners and had to go dirt because every track in 50 miles was dirt and the new owners wanted to be more concentrated on local small time weekend racers . I haven't raced there since. Any old boy can play in the dirt but it takes a real man to get out of the dirt and run with the big dogs and be good at it.
I think major RV manufacturers should supply RVs for a race and let these guys road test them here although it probably wouldn’t be much of a race as most of them would fall apart half way around the track!😅

Just curious , every other trailer derby ive seen , if you drop your trailer , your out , why are there so many vehicles still racing after they're trailer fell off
i am surprised they let the one guy drive with the ramp to the trailer down. i would be afraid of someone hitting that ramp at high speed and launching, "dukes of hazard " style.
The yanks have learnt that going in a circle makes banger racing more fun ! All the need to learn now is hitting into other and going fast makes it worth watching
