He’s genuinely nice. I was apprehensive to approach him because he was talking to his crew after the movie ended and was worried I would bother him. I said, “Excuse me Mr. Mangold sorry to bother you but I just wanted to say that I’m a huge fan of 3:10 to Yuma.” He thanked me, shook my hand and ask my name then introduced himself as Jim. I also wasn’t sure if I should ask for a photo but I felt like I’ll never get a chance to see him again and when I asked he didn’t hesitate for a second. He was very kind about it and one of the crew members offered to take the photo. This will be a moment I’ll never forget.
@@Demigod_3scrub Yeah without Heath it would have been another TDKR. He really MADE that film. But I find Logan a better film. Only SH movie that I could relate to in many ways.
6:44 Mangold gets it. Worrying about continuity and such a strict cohesive storyline takes away from the potential for independent films to do well individually and potentially explore new directions in the genre. To allow better creativity. I mean really the fact that the X-Men franchise could even hash out Logan was because they didn’t care about continuity, that equals good indie films as a result.
These two are brilliant --very eloquent and deep. It clearly shows they have a very good working relationship. No wonder, the movie came out really remarkable. And I have to say, Hugh is looking better and better, hotter and hotter!!! 👏🏽🙌👏🏽🙌👏🏽
I love the scene where he's hauling ass through the woods newly jacked up on the green juice, the music, the shot, the acting, everything worked so fucking well, you look up iconic in the dictionary it's that scene.
This 2 very important people had just accomplished a wonderful job. Man you guys nailed this movie. The prequels sucked and giving it the last chance you gave your best shot. I feel like mangold is saying "you really wana see it done right huh, ill show you how its done right" and he went beyond everybody's expectations.
Well honestly, I don't think it was entirely his fault. Studio interference can have a huge impact, especially when it was seen during the 3rd act. There's a reason why people preferred the extended cut version of The Wolverine which was Rated R.
I wanna see a villian that stemmed from the Westchester Incident...that gets revealed to be one of the original X-men! Like a Magneto on steroids!! OR..or Magneto was one of the Westchester casualties and his descendant tries to find Professor X's descendant to create an Onslaught-like character to destroy all humans!!!
This movie sucked, James mangold is a egomaniac and pretending that this is a great movie/director perpetuates Hollywood’s idea that they knew better than the fans and the lore. Fanboys get bent

The whole staff and crew from the actors to the key grips deserve awards. It was a masterpiece of film.
Wouldn't say the story is a masterpiece I mean there's billion of stories like it but yeah the movie was amazing
It's very sad, as it deals with very real life issues but it's a terrific movie
This is what happens when the studio steps aside and lets James Mangold do his thing.. you get an instant classic film like Logan. Masterpiece.
James Mangold has an infectious laugh. Seems like a really nice guy. I can see why Hugh likes to work with him and trusts him.

Wow. I really like how James Mangold _thinks_ :O

Can't down vote this. HP Take note of what journalism is.
i didn't know James directed the wolverine, i thought it was a hot pile of garbage, but Logan was excellent
