Seeing Hugh Jackman expressing his own personality makes it clear what a great actor he is. He's so different from Logan, it's hard to believe this is the same person, in spite of any "similarity" in appearance. Fantastic!
Same can be said about Michael Fassbender. Watched him in "Shame" and then watched him be all uppidy and giddy in an interview. It messed with my head.
Wangwangusa I think the same! he made such an outstanding performance in the film, and it must have the attention of the academy. Not nominate him would be a crime.
Ben Castle I had a few problems with the film but really liked it overall. Dang though, Hugh is perfect. After all this, I would throw an award at him.
I overall liked the movie, but one of the main problems was that X-23 was over CGIed if that makes sense. Like they tried to to this crazy young mexican wolverine girl, but i thought they over did it.
Bob Sagit where's the spoilers in that sentence ? I've seen the movie and that sentence tells you everything you know before you go in, it's emotional (not a spoiler) and its Hugh jackmon's last film which wolverine film (not a spoiler).... So explain where the spoiler is ....
Rene - Wow yeah love how his so versatile. He can do romance, comedy, drama, fantasy etc. Watch him in Kate and Leopold as Leopold by god was he hilarious in it sporting a British accent. Haha huge ackman lol I think he took that off Dan Stevens from night at the museum 3. spoiler.
i know the contrast between the two is incredible i don't know how he plays him so perfectly but there's no one else that could ever play the wolverine as he does
Saw him in an interview where he said he overheard his teenage son and a buddy talking. The buddy kept talking how cool it must be to live with Wolverine. Jackman's son said "My dad is nothing like Wolverine. He's not tough. He's not cool. Quit talking about it." LOL
Logan is the only "Xmen" movie that's GENUINELY a great film. Laughter, tears, heartache, joy, action it had it all. Certain scenes in the movie are powerful enough to haunt your thoughts long after the credits roll "It wasn't me..it wasn't me" Fucking hell that scene
Yea lol... I had to do a double take... like... mmm... u don't remember who it was who played your younger versions? haha. SIR Patrick Stewart at his finest :)
Blade viNz that’s what I keep saying. If they do any more wolverine movies they should do something where Laura is grown up instead of finding someone else to play Logan
It's Hugh to Wolverine, Downey Jr. to Iron-Man and Ryan Reynolds to Deadpool. I wouldn't replace these actors with any other to play such iconic characters. At least a crossover movie with these characters would be great before either of these actors left.
I couldn't agree more! They are just absolutely irreplaceable and really "make" the characters' movie personas as lovable as they are. I can't imagine ever seeing anyone else play the roles. If a time came where all of them retired from the roles (an incredibly sad day it would be) and a reboot with new actors was in the works...I don't think I'd be able to watch it...seriously lol. And yes, a crossover would be AMAZING. I'd also like to add Chris Evans as Captain America to the end of that list!
I Love Hugh, has anyone ever embodied a comic character like he has ? he literally is the wolverine in fact I bet Hugh Jackman is just a made up identity to protect his true idea which is obviously THE WOLVERINE
Ryan Reynolds was an incredible embodiment of Deadpool. Also Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon (which kinda isn't fair... Gary Oldman is just fuckin' amazing at whoever he does)
Their chemistry is amazing both on and off screen. Glad to know that their camaraderie and respect for eachother remains so strong after all of these years.
RemixedVoice it's amazing because the movie kind of exposed the deep rooted relationship that they had for each other in real life...can't get enough of this movie...
I would be glad to see a Laura movie. That kid really did her part and will be a great person to pass the torch to as the wolverine. Or who knows... Maybe something even better.
Yes, she did an awesome job! I'd love to see her in the role again in a Laura movie as well. Though, it would HAVE to be done by the same director, writers, and all that. The memory of Wolverine can live on through her for the next generation!
Logan was an absolutely amazing movie! I totally recommend it! It's been an absolute joy watching these two legends on and off over the past 17-years! Respect!
Either one of these 2 is an instant Oscar nominee, but sadly, they won't get nominated at all, because we know what the academy's views on blockbusters and CBM are.
The T-10 The Dark Knight got some love from the Academy and Heath Ledger won best supporting actor so there's some hope. Logan is almost on par with The Dark Knight and better than all the MCU movies and I love most of them
Zenevi Romawii Well, as far as I'm concerned, TDK (and the other 2 movies in TDK trilogy) was more of a crime-action drama than a CBM, and I guess that's why the academy loved it. Still curious what's their view on Logan
The T-10 Logan is more real and grounded than other superhero movies. We've had some good comic book movies in recent years but Logan is a great movie which just happens to have comic book characters. Hopefully the Academy shows some love but its really early to predict anything since its only March. The upcoming superhero movies this year could be better or as good as Logan. If they are, then this year would be the best year for comic book movies.
At first I was irritated that the actor the first picked to play Wolverine wasn't short (like the character is in the comics) now i can't see Logan as short anymore.....
Hugh Jackman deserves an Oscar nod for his performance in this film...my god...fantastic send off. I felt joy, sadness, satisfied and overall content after watching the film. Thank you for 17 years of Wolverine onscreen Hugh Jackman. And Patrick Stewart...a legend.
In my opinion just scrap the "New Wolverine" thing because there will only ever be one Wolverine and just roll with the Laura thing, they've done 'Logan' I wanna see 'Laura'. Amazing character amazing actress. Boom. Done.
Every interview I see with these two lately Patrick Stewart tries to coax Hugh into playing Sweeney Todd. Thinking Patrick should take up directing and ensure it gets made.
I think they're both fantastic actors but was so pleased watching it that they finally got a film where they could really, REALLY bring those characters to life. And then more pleased that Dafne Keen did such an incredible job keeping up with them.
honestly I don't even want anymore wolverine movies Logan was perfect and a perfect ending to wolverines story, it would be cool to see wolverine in the MCU but I feel like Disney won't do him justice
Yeah, I feel that this is a perfect ending and farewell. Fox trying the extend this X-Men storyline with anything but a movie for Laura and the next gen. when she gets older (made ONLY by the same creators) would be a disgrace to this movie's greatness and the characters in it, in my opinion. For me, especially looking at their inconsistent track record, I don't really won't Fox to touch anything else X-Men after this but a well made movie for Laura, and continuing Deadpool (which is kind of in it's own world anyway). I would've loved to see him in the MCU too, even Hugh himself did, but (as he also knew) it wouldn't have been able to happen anyway...
Just watched it. And it is Nothing Short of a Masterpiece. The bar for the rest of 2017 is set Astronomically High. I started tearing up right at the beginning, maybe it's because I have a soft spot for elderly people but just seeing both Logan and Charles like that was absolutely heartbreaking. I laughed and I Cried and I Cried some more. And man, I hate the young Wolverine now, he was a dick in this movie. But it is very poetic that the thing Logan feared the most is what killed him. He feared himself and the monster he didn't want to become. And in the end, he got the chance to become a leader for a brief moment. Which is exactly why Prof X chose him. He saw Logan as a leader. But somewhere along the way, he lost that purpose. This movie is absolute Perfection beginning to end.
I love how both Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart seem to be just really lovable, good-hearted men in reality, and their good hearts are lovably apparent here and in these characters they've beautifully played.
Ian McKellen as the love interest of both Captain Picard and Professor X is ingenious :D I'd love them to do a short of that for fun, maybe a music video of some kind.
13:49 that look on Stewart's face. He's so pleased (seems slightly emotional with just a glance) with Hugh saying he's got living figured out more than most others. Warmed my crusty heart

I was never properly able to grieve for my fathers passing, but seeing Patrick as he was in this movie kind of helped.
