100% agree with this review. Ronson's course is easily the best writing/composing/arranging/recording/finishing course I have seen. It is comprehensive, contains zero snobbery and makes no assumptions about the learners level of expertise. The course includes a lot of technical knowledge sharing, but It is not about using a DAW. It is about making a song. I found it gave credibility or perhaps even permission to create via any method or any timeline that makes it possible to serve the song. Subjectively, Ronson is beautiful and in this course he offers this beauty generously.

Hmm 🤔 I have MasterClass which has big name Artist & Producers. However I find many of those a bit Vague on tangible advice . You can hear “break the rules/ don’t be afraid” only so much , and there is a point you have to put pen to paper… That said , I am intrigued about this Mark Ronson course 🤔
This course is not like that but is more like “A week in the working life of Ronson” as he goes through a complete production from coming up with song ideas, working stuff out, getting it down and recording and mixing etc, but without the crap tutorials on any given plug-in as TH-cam is full of those anyway. I know what you mean, many courses are crap, most in fact (I’d go as far as saying 98 percent are crap), even the ones featuring well known artists and producers, who typically don’t give away their best kept secrets. But Mark Ronson is nothing like that. I don’t have any affiliate link and I get no kickback at all, but so far, after being involved in the music industry in one form or another and watching hundreds of courses and tutorials over the past 36 years (many on VHS back in the day) this course by Mark Ronson is the only one I would recommend on music production. It is so inspiring!
Honestly, there are such a load of crap courses being advertised by self-proclaimed audio experts on here, but this is Mark Ronson and the guy is such a genius and gives aways so many gems of information that you would never get from regular online so-called music production courses.

No requirements, it is not that kind of course. In fact, it’s probably a good idea if you don’t own anything, because the course opens up all kinds of creative suggestions and ideas. After you watch the course, you can use free software, like Apple’s GarageBand, that Mark mentions in the video (along with others) or something better like ProTools or Logic Pro, which he also mentions. With regard to hardware, you can use the cheapest most basic stuff or more expensive gear, Mark mentions all kinds of equipment in during the videos in the course. Definitely no requirements at all, just dig in and watch it it’s amazing.
