We made an oopsie on the size of this pack! This is indeed the 36L version, not the 30L version, as this review initially indicated. We’ve updated our review accordingly, though our thoughts on the bag have not changed. Would you prefer the 36L version or something smaller like the 30L? 🧐
Thanks, Eric! This is indeed the 36L version of the Dragonfly, just a note of update, we offer all versions in patched or patchless depending on your preference. So if you don't want the velcro patch, you can still get a flat panel. These are not seam sealed, as we offer a repair service and the laminated tape can impact repair performance. Thank you so much for taking the time to give an in depth review. The 30L and 36L versions are both a result of our community making recommendations and feature asks which is why we think its resonated with users so much. We've got some packing cubes in the works so we're constantly evolving the Dragonfly Ecosystem. I like using the WANDRD Camera Cube Essential when I have to carry camera gear in the Dragonfly. - Garrett
I picked up one of these recently, and so far I _love_ it. I need more time with it, but so far it hasn't ruled itself out as a soulmate-bag candidate. I have a lot -- _a lot_ -- of other bags, and I keep coming back to this one. Again, it's still quite new to me -- just a couple of weeks -- but so far, so great. I also love that they're made in the USA, and that ULA does repairs, in the unlikely event I ever need it repaired. I have a feeling I'll be buying more ULA gear, and perhaps an additional Dragonfly made from a different material, just for some variety.
Nice review, I’ve looked at purchasing the 30l off and on for several months and it’s never available, even on drop dates. ULA’s strategy of planned scarcity is definitely a marketing ploy and has driven me to purchase Aer’s new Ultra CPP. Really enjoy that bag and will purchase a Travel Pack 3 for travel as ULA plays games with their consumers.
I just put an order in for the 36L patch-less, though after using the S straps on the 30L and finding that they pinch the top of my shoulders and the straps tend to splay outwards no matter what is in the bag. So unfortunately going to the J straps requires it to be a custom order but I am hoping it will remedy the physical pain the 30L leads to when I pack the bag out.
Ultra is a ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. It may have started from recycled polyester but is a composite that is probably the strongest, most durable and lightweight fabric that backpacks can be made from. That's why the best ultralight backpack companies there are, ZPacks, ULA, Hyperlight, even Osprey are now making Ultra versions of their top tier packs. Oh, and it doesn't stretch when it gets wet, it's waterproof to 200psi.
@@MightySmallBalls Nope. Asked in another of his videos, as well (don’t remember which one.) All I know is Eric like to “transfer it from bag to bag to bag.” He’ll happily wave that thing in your face, but continues to keep its identity a mystery.

Do you have BOM for this review? What is the brand of toiletry pouch with red zipper?
This dude is the best reviewer i reckon. Thourough, informative, clear, to the point and confident.
You're making me blush ☺️ Thanks for the feedback!

What camera cube is that? Seemed to fit the backpack well.
That’s the 36 liter version, isn’t it?
Yeah, looks like 36l version.
Can confirm, it's the 36L (which has 30L of internal storage which likely explains the mistake, whether intentional or not)
Thought it looked way too big based on other images I’ve seen of the 30L vs the 36L; that makes way more sense.

36 L?
Just so I'm absolutely sure, is this video about the 30L or the 36L?
ohhhhhhhh yeah finally!
What camera cube was that??
Is there a bag similar to this but a bit smaller and less malleable?
Thanks!
Polyester is cheap and stretching when wet 😢
