I understand exactly what Phil is saying, golden syrup is mistakingly called treacle when it isn't, the black stuff is treacle but not as sweet thats why sugar or something sweet is added to it, if you look on the tins or bottles of golden syrup that is exactly what it is called!!!
There will never be another Fern Britton who's unique muttley sounding laughter will ever be heard again. Holly Willoughby will never match our Ferny in the laughter stakes.

@saralikesdaisies Nelly is a womans name short for helen, ellen or cornelia. The cook said it wasn't a euphemism meaning it wasn't a euphemism woman sexually aroused. Everyone could do with a wet nelly.

Holly,whilst I'm sure is a delight,cannot match Fern. And Phil,well he now seems to believe he's a serious journalist rather than the jolly TV presenter he started out as. I rarely watch the show now.
