It was well known at ITV that Phillip was having a fling with a young Runner at ITV. He threatened to spill the beans and that is the reason Philip 'came out' when he did. I don't care what sexuality someone is, but to live a lie for 30 years is disgusting for his wife and daughters. Holly definitely knew a long time ago. Ruth and Eamon knew all along and voiced their concerns and that's why they were sacked from the programme.

He WAS a great presenter....decades ago, I loved him. In those days, admitting being gay had so much stigma and was very, very tough. It was a really difficult thing to hide. For a few encounters with of a young man of age, he is crucified by the masses, many of whom themselves almost certainly have their own shady secrets. Assuming that 'grooming' cannot be proven, then he if having physical relations with a 20 year old man and lying is punishable in our laws, OK.... otherwise the disgrace has been given. Apparently, the reason Hollie and Phil fell out is because Phillips’s brother baby sat Hollie’s children a few times and Phillip allowed it despite ‘knowing’ his brother had issues. Rumour has it, Phillip did nothing to warn Hollie or stop it from happening. Could be rubbish but if it is true it would explain Hollie and Phil’s huge fall out.

He had a couple of gigs in Oman years back and was playing in our local club, we were looking forward to seeing him…unfortunately we were not well so we missed his performance. We heard after that he was so vile, loud and obnoxious that he was removed from the stage and the next day was ‘run-wayed’…or to put it in the correct way, he was escorted to the airport and left on the next available flight.
This was just before is eventual down fall from prime time TV.

Eamonn was great in this clip. When people were wincing at Holly and Phil's fakeness during the last couple of episodes of their show, I have to say I didn't really register their grand cringe-inducing artifice. All that sort of fluffy, American-style day time TV strikes me as totally fake so it's all the same to me. I'm more amused by the constant references in the papers to the popular show runner 'mysteriously and unceremoniously leaving the show for Loose Women. The impression they seem to want to make upon us, is that the runner was the one who was going to out Phil for whatever reason-- and so Phil beat him to it and dishonestly concocted this sob story about his 'secret life' weighing upon him. Was it really all his decision or was there a human catalyst? I have no idea but the constant referencing to this runner is persistent and odd.
It’s not really fake though is it?! I mean they are presenting a TV show which in a way, is acting…and they can’t just start arguing on TV on air!! Holly gave it away the most, it’s like she just couldn’t keep up the pretence any more even for her job, has she really just fallen out with PS because she didn’t know about his brother? Also a few weeks ago, on TM when PS & HW were on, then there was a segment about teenagers and I can’t for the life of me remember why, bud HW got very emotional and wiped her eyes, and she started talking about her own son who is 13, and the segment piece was relevant (can’t remember though) and she cried and said she couldn’t imagine that happening to her 13 year old son, not that it was about anything sexual, but it’s not like her to cry and I wonder if she was really crying because it wasn’t long after PS had been to court about his brother, and his victim was just 13 when he started abusing him, was HW really upset about this and like most mothers, then she thought of her own kid suffering that fate,yet disguised it as being about the segment??

Love Jim Davidson, I met him just over 30 years ago. Through mutual friends in the boating and sailing community. A very different man from who you see on the tv.
