In most situations it ' just needs an internal cleanup (to remove carbon dust and dirt so that in can make contact)... you'll have to disassemble the polarity switch mechanism of course! Most of the time it does the job and extends the life of the part saving you money...

On a 2012 GRande Punto - there seems to be odd looking fasteners , not bolts , holding it on. Does anyone know what tool to use or is it just pulled off studs.
