This is where I got my new tailgate badge amzn.to/2MetJFa do check it out this is for the Evo But if you follow the link and search you should also find the Grande versions.
Great video Andy! Hope the car is still serving you well :) Here’s an idea for you and anyone else. You can easily pop the plastic off from the old badge, and then sand the red colour off it, and spray it any colour you want, then glue back on so you have a spare badge to swap over with or have on display, makes it look like new again. Looking forward to more videos :)
I think this is exactly what the previous owner had tried to do and ruined the tailgate badge, it had all separated inside and it looked like there might be glue inside the badge. Also there where marks around the edge looking like someone had tried to break the badge apart,
Hi Andy, thanks for the video. Can you make a video or share any DIY info of fuel cap not locking problem. Once again thanks for a dedicated channel for Punto😍. God bless
Abhinivesh Reddy thanks for getting in touch, I can only make videos where I find problems or jobs to do, I don’t have any problems with the fuel cap and haven’t had on any of my other puntos so it’s not something I can offer any advice on as I’ve not seen or encountered the problem
@@PuntoHowto thanks for the reply, it's ok no problem for this time will get it done in service center. Happy riding many more miles and more informative videos. Thank you
You would need to climb into the car boot through the car and see if you can release the boot manually, if not then you might need to remove the plastic from inside the boot then operate the catch manually
@@PuntoHowto Dude I have the same problem. It turns on from the remote but it doesn't work when I press the trunk logo. How can I check the cables or is there a chance it's the fuse? The remote control works. The logo doesn't work.. :((
Great video, Thank you! :) Can I ask if its possible to change only the middle plastic part of the badge, without the chromed outside? Is it always fixed to the metal mechanism behind it? Cheers!
I don’t think you can separate them easily, the main reason mine needed replacing is because someone had tried to take it apart at some point, so the edges of the badge in the centre where all cracked and chipped if needed I’d suggest replacing the whole thing
If the remote doesn’t work or you don’t have a remote boot release then just changing the button will not make the(a) remote boot release start working.
Start with checking fuses. Check things like the back wiper is working as fiats do tend to have problems with the wiring going to the boot breaking and shorting out.
Can your help.. I have the fiat punto evo 2011 I bought it new almost 8 years ago and know I am having the miles flashing and the Blue me is not working... Any help is appreciated
Hi Jamie, you did leave a comment about this on another video and I did reply to it. Basically if the blue and me has failed it will need replacing and the car will need hooking up to an computer to set up the new blue and me module. Your only hope of a cheap bill is to check the fuses and make sure nothing obvious is wrong. Failing that you’ll need a specialist.
This happened to me a few weeks ago. I jump started my brothers car and I don’t think it was earthed properly, and this caused the odometer to flash and the blue and me was saying connected to my phone on the screen, but my phone wasn’t connected. The jump starting (bad earth) seemed to have caused sensors around the car to be out of alignment, hence the flashing odometer, and it must have also caused issues with the blue and me module. Luckily mine fixed itself after leaving the battery unplugged for half an hour, and it’s been fine since. As puntohowto says, it could also need a full new module to fix it. Hopefully yours is a quick simple fix like mine. Hope you have the problem sorted soon :)
Hey man, i habe a question for you :) On my Punto Evo, tailgate wont open when i press tailgate badge, but it opens when i pres the key knob. I checked the microswitch an its working fine ( i bought new one), so what can be causing the problem?
I knew their where problems with the Audio but too late to reshoot the whole video. Was using a wired mic that kept pulling out of the mic port, so was only picking up on one channel not both
Completely wrong clothes for this procedure. Job best done wearing fleece (preferably car maker branded) and proper work gloves with high grip and breathable.

I have replaced my rear badge and front badge on my Grande punto a few months ago and it was an easy job 👍
Robert Jan front badge next
Nice video, thanks. I bought the replacement badge before considering how I would fit it, so this was very helpful 👍

Glad to hear it ! Thanks for letting us know
Thanks for this
Can't believe there's only one screw holding that boot trim, no wonder mine's squeaking on every road imperfection
And quite a few clips, but yeah it’s not attached very well and lost of scope for squeaks and rattles
More videos like this please!
I’ll get them to you as soon as I can
A very useful video, but why dou you whisper??? Anyone sleeping in the car? Speak up!
There were lots of sound problems with this video, that we already know, but thanks for the comment and for watching !!

Will it be possible to open the trunk with the remote control after replacing such a button?
If the remote doesn’t work or you don’t have a remote boot release then just changing the button will not make the(a) remote boot release start working.
👍👍👍👍
please uplode vedio on how to change drive shaft on punto evo.
The drive shafts are different depending on which engine is fitted, my 1.6 will be different to a 1.3 and may not help you
Ahh! That's all good except weather
Standard uk weather I’m afraid.
Hey andy i have n big problem with me boot the key is not working en the fiat design is not working soo wat must i do

Hi can I change my punto badges for abarth badges ?
If you can get hold of the abarth badges then yes, they are not easy to get hold of now, because of people buying up badges to change their own.

Ooh, this is super easy! But am I gonna spend 100 euros on a purely cosmetical fix? (Yes I am)
A man after my own heart !

If you’re happy that it’s not the switch and it works off the key remote then I’d be looking at the wiring
Good video, but please fix your audio... It's annoying to hear only your voice in the left speaker/heaphone and the music in the right.
I knew their where problems with the Audio but too late to reshoot the whole video. Was using a wired mic that kept pulling out of the mic port, so was only picking up on one channel not both
