I would prefer to stay separate. But honestly it works either way. I only prefer the separation because I would like to see in the bat family. The other reason is because the Reeves verse is so established now with after penguin... It's a perfect bridge for elseworld stories in the DC. Best way to do that would be to have the DCU Batman appear before the Reeves Batman comes out so that is very clear, as people will still be excited about the Reeves Batman
@JusMichae1-b9fBecause it would interfere with Matt Reeves plan for his version of Batman. James Gunn of all people would know since Marvel and Kevin Feige did that with James from his Guardians trilogy. So many elements were changed after Guardians 2 when they crossed over with the rest of the MCU. Like Starlord’s helmet getting destroyed in Guardians 2 only for it to come back in Infinity War. Gamora getting killed off which forced James to pivot for the third movie. Need I go on? Hell, that monologue Starlord had in Guardians 3 in the elevator was really just James explaining about how his plans were pretty much ruined due to the fact that it’s connected to an entire other universe. So James 100% will not want to interfere in the slightest in Matt Reeves’ plan because it happened to him personally.
@JusMichae1-b9f Because it's already been established in Creature Commandos that Batman has been around for 10+ years, and it would make 0 sense that year 2 pattinson was able to take on Dr. Phosphorus.

I don’t mind The Batman films having long production times if we get different Batman movies within the gaps but right now we are getting neither. I’d think it would be cool if The Batman sequels covered more of a gap and so we catch up with this character every 5 years in his career and really see him develop. That’s not something we get much of in superhero movies. Like we’ve seen his year 1, lets see year 3 and then show us him in year 7 or 10. Hey great to see you making more content again man! Honestly in my opinion, they should keep that Batman separate because it’s a very grounded Batman and world. He wouldn’t fit with the dcu. What do you want to see the most out of a new Batman for the dcu
Fantastic video Nick as always, I honestly really agree, Robert Pattinson's Batman should stay separate. I think it would be convoluted if they merged Battinson into the DCU because of how grounded The Batman is and whatnot as well as the fact that it would throw off the DCU timeline as well as the fact I think Battinson is too grounded for a fantastical DCU. I think 2 separate Batmans with 2 different suits and actors will work best in the long run
I wished brave and the bolds Batman actor was cast and coming in the next two years. So that we would k ow for sure and have no more confusing things said by people who aren’t James Gunn.
I understand peoples confusion, but Matt Reeves is a producer on everything Batman right now, including Capes Crusader, Clayface, and maybe even audio adventures. Brave and the Bold also didn’t technically get delayed, it never had a release date. I think Muschietti was just saying it’s going to be a while before any work takes place. I don’t think any of this is really an indicator that Pattinson will be DCU. The only way I see that happening is if Matt Reeves has stuff going on in his personal life and just can’t work on his Batman
That is a really good point lol. I think the other side of that argument is that Daredevil was initially not really part of the MCU as the characters were with netflix. Originally I don't think they had any plans of crossing over
In my personal opinion, it’s also a strong note for me to see Patterson as the Batman in the DCU. Though I once called Pattison, my definitive Batman. I still recognize that he might not be a good fit for an entire cinematic universe. I’ve always wanted the bat family. I’ve always wanted Batman films to be like the Arkham games, animated series, and comics. I’d be pretty disappointed if the next Batman reboot is not that even if it is good . I would’ve preferred if James Gunn would’ve built up to that instead of just having the family straight up but hey if it gets me what I want then I’m here for it . Plus, one of my favorite characters is Nightwing & Red Hood. I really need to see them on the big screen.

I honestly could picture Pattinsons Batman with Corenswet’s Superman but I really can’t see that Batman with any other JL member or anyone else in the DCU
For me I'm just in the middle so 50/50. Cuz the good thing is it's kinda bad idea to have two separate Batman at the same time at the movies like DC will just be competing against themselves where fans will get to debate which one is better Pattinson or the DCU Batman. Also the general audience will just get confused about it not knowing the difference. The whole reason why SUPERMAN AND LOIS ended is because of the Superman movie. So basically DC dosen't want to have mutiple iterations of a popular Justice League character at the same time. Robert Pattinson and David Corenswet would make a great dynamic in terms for a Worlds Finest project. However the reason why it's also a bad idea cuz this version of Batman is grounded and realistic where I don't imagine Pattinson's Batman be part of the Justice League. THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD is gonna be about the dynamic between Batman and his son Damian Wayne the fifth Robin in which Pattinson's Batman dosen't even have a Robin yet. Making The Batman movies a prequel to The Brave and the Bold is also a bad idea considering the timeline of it like The Batman, The Penguin and the upcoming The Batman 2 takes place in 2022 while Superman and the rest of the DCU could be like 2025 onwards.

Yes, we have been having problems with the Multiverse movies, but at the same time most of marvel, successful projects have dealt with the multiverse. Case point Deadpool and wolverine, Loki , no way home. We have Sony spider verse. Of course the flash TV show has done with the Multiverse before. I do think the Multiverse needs to appear less lesson movies and TV shows but I don’t think the whole entire problem is the Multiverse. I think the problem is does the Multiverse serve the story or does the story serve the Multiverse? Though I don’t want Robert Patterson to be brought in through like a crisis event or something, I just don’t see the whole concept of the Multiverse as a problem as many other people say they do on TH-cam
BTAS Batman is nowhere as grounded as Reeve's Batman. That version of Batman was fighting a ninja hand-to-hand at a volcano, fought a fantastical super-powered Clayface, got transported into a video-game that was created by the Riddler and one point used a device that allowed him to speed up or slow-down time when he fought Clock King.
There's been some misinformation about what Andy actually said about the movie and his contact with Gunn, I really don't blame anyone for getting it wrong because internet discourse can be a bitch but what he actually said was that the Brave and the Bold was just further away than he thought and it meant he could work on a smaller movie before that and that he hadn't seen Gunn *in person* since before Superman started filming but that they had actually been in contact about the project through emails and the such (this latter part was clarified this week I think) All in all the entire drama around DCU's Batman is just annoying, there's clearly two different visions and I genuinely don't see why Gunn would change his mind this early in the game specially since bringing Battinson into the DCU either takes away the Batfamily or contrives the story way too much and that's literally the opposite of what Gunn wants to do
I think they should be separate but I honestly think Pattinson getting a Robin would be interesting. He seems one of the most loner Batman versions we’ve seen and it would challenge his character. We also see the glances he gives the orphan in The Batman and it’s clearly something he cares about. I think it would also help to separate his take from Nolan’s which never properly touched Robin. But Brave and the Bold really makes this unlikely which I think is a shame
Remember, people “couldn’t see” Pattinson as Batman in the first place. Now he’s arguably the best Batman. Arguably. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t make it the wrong move. Let them do what they believe will work and stop pretending you won’t watch it when they do it.
You’re slow, there are countless legitimate continuity reasons why it would be a horrible idea to put Pattinson in the dcu. Among other reasons. The fact we can’t see him in the dcu isn’t the only thing.
@ I must be. Gunn has already stated that he doesn’t like when people get too caught up in the minutiae of canon. If he needs to change a date here or a name there, he will if it suits his overall vision and supports the stories. You have to have more trust. Look at the man’s track record and, as the kids say, let him cook.
@@1OldBoy He says canon in terms of DCEU to DCU. Why would he establish in Creature Commandos, which is fully set in the DCU, and is pure canon, that Batman has been around for 10 years and was able to take on Dr. Phosphorus in his early years if he had plans on bringing Pattinson in? Saying "let them cook" is not a valid argument because they are clearly cooking up something different but you're all trying to force your desires into their plan even if it is explicitly obvious and stated that it won't happen lmao
I loved the video bro i also wanna keep those two batman universes separate. But could you make a video on how you would like the fantastical batman to ve like and what were your thoughts on ben Affleck Batman?
@@Datadopamine24 yeah man I can do that! And for Affleck, I think the casting is genuinely perfect, and when he’s not killing people he’s a pretty good Batman, but some of the stuff he does in BvS is just not Batman to me. It’s a shame because that casting was perfect but the writing was not.
I don’t get the argument he’s too grounded. Iron Man’s first movie is completely grounded with nothing supernatural, and then in avengers he’s throwing a missile into an alien wormhole, and 6 years after that he’s on another planet getting moons thrown at him. I don’t think it will be really hard to make work at all. Just increase the fantastical elements with every Batman appearance
@@jaimelannister1797 Well clearly having the equivalent of a nuclear reactor acting as a heart surely isn't grounded, creating a mech suit that can shoot energy beams, missiles, can fly, etc surely isn't grounded. In addition the fact that Obadiah Stane reworked the Mark I suit into a bigger similar suit is grounded?
How dumb can you be to think iron man was grounded. also in this case, what about matt's vision? he has something in mind that he wants to make and i can say for sure that he doesn't want to fuck around with any metahumans or robins. if the film was even anywhere close to maybe the daredevil tv show, we would have no problem with him joining the justice league or having a bat family

Yeah I do think a young Dick Grayson would be interesting for the Reevesverse. I wouldn’t be against it.
Yes
Remember, people “couldn’t see” Pattinson as Batman in the first place. Now he’s arguably the best Batman. Arguably.
Just because you can’t see it doesn’t make it the wrong move.
Let them do what they believe will work and stop pretending you won’t watch it when they do it.
Oh nah I will definitely watch it regardless. I always believed in Rob as Batman, anyone who looked past twilight knew he was extremely talented
Bale dominates.
@@NickHippo13 yeah bro I agree if they had just given him a little more screen time to cook it would have been perfect
I personally would say make it same vibe as the Batman brave and the bold show and all the brave and the bolds comics.
@@Kiandre2002 Brave and the bold gotta be the most underrated piece of Batman media. Crazy hot take but I like it almost as much as BTAS it’s so good
@@NickHippo13 yeah bro I agree the original DCU batman was the best.
Lets separate them. We want a batman that can fall from space and survive and can move at the speed of light
Also the riddler flooded the entire city how grounded is that?
"completely grounded" he has microscopic nuclear reactors, albeit an arc reactor as a heart.
@ You're telling me flooding an entire city is fantastical? What?
They already changed a lot of what riddler joker and penguin look like from the comics . Just get a different actor. I also have a strong no. No no no no. Jeez
Good video my boy but u gotta start posting more that’s the only way u are going to gain subs
Honestly I think it's better to just have Pattinson join the DCU.
why?
@@Timothy_-ve2zp because can you imagine if they repeat a villain
@ can you imagine if they don’t? Batman’s rogues gallery is a LOT bigger than the Joker
@@Timothy_-ve2zp yeah but are you really going to watch a batman movie not directed by matt reeves or isn't matt reeves adjacent , honestly i am not and if some c tier director takes all the good villains and mat reeves has to use hush as a main villain in the batman part 3 am going to crash out
@@libraryofdanny.001 The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises both made more than The Batman. Under the Red Hood and Mask of the Phantasm are highly regarded as some of the best Batman storytelling in animated film. That’s a fact, people have been watching and adoring Batman movies just fineee, before Matt Reeves came along in 2022, and they’ll continue to watch and adore Batman films when The Brave and the Bold comes out with it’s own version of Batman.
And if you want my *personal* opinion. I’m MORE excited for Brave and the Bold than The Batman Part II because it’ll finally explore Damian Wayne and the Batfamily, important aspects of Batman’s character in the comics that used to get ignored when brought into live action films
Completely agree
I’m praying that Robert Patterson Batman doesn’t get added to the DCU. Nothing against him but I want a separate Batman series.
Wasn't it rescheduled because of the strike?
Initially, yeah that’s definitely part of why it got pushed to 2026, but another full year of delays is why people are questioning it
like i said i doubt it and i'm glade i'm an't the only one
I hope tf not 😭
The worst take i saw was have Robert Pattinson play BOTH DCU and Reevesverse batmen but not merge them
yeah that's so dumb
@@NickHippo13 these people need to learn we can't always get what we want
2 separate universes. 2 separate batmen. both played by robert pattinson. like if they made a red son movie, they could cast corenswet as superman and no one would be confused. i dont see why pattinson in 2 universes would confuse people
I think they should just retcon Pattinson's movies as prequels
or you should keep your mouth shut
That's the only way two cinematic Batmans can work. Finish Pattinson's trilogy and drop him. Retcon it as prequels. Get a new actor to play older Batman.
@@aloneagain5873 no retcons else worlds better
The Batman should be under their Elseworlds line...
No, ofc not. Y'all need to stop with this shit. We saw DCU Batman in Creature Commando and it clearly wasnt the Batman from Reeves. And also, they've said a million times it will not be. And it doesnt fit. And it would be shit. And. GTFO.
Lol
not happening
I wished brave and the bolds Batman actor was cast and coming in the next two years. So that we would k ow for sure and have no more confusing things said by people who aren’t James Gunn.
