great video, but the girl who said to add ASMR to your videos was right.......your 1700 subs may be at like 170,000 right now with the quality of your videos!
@ derbigpr500 I get what you're saying, but think about this: Bob Ross wasn't an ASMR category either, but he is the godfather of what eventually became ASMR. I often find that intentional ASMR videos are what trigger me the least. ASMR could be sitting in the library and hearing the gentle sounds. I don't like the videos of people just tapping on stuff, etc. It all seems so contrived.
I've been waiting for the day that Shoeshine Gentle made a long video! Well worth the wait. You should add "ASMR" to your video titles, you'd get a lot more people viewing them!
I was looking for ASMR videos to sleep to, and that's how I discovered your channel. Some people who make ASMR videos get millions of views and subscribers, and I think you can, too! Your work is beautiful!
I think this is perfection. Master craftsman at his best. I truly don't think anyone can do better than this. You've inspired me to take better care of my shoes.
Amazing video. Can you list the different bottles you are using in order? Would love to have more info on what you are you doing at each step. The shoes look amazing at the end when you were done! Thanks!
A professional shine usually has these steps: Step 1 - shoe tree to retain shape as its cleaned Step 2 - light scoring of the sole edge and heel prior to "inking" Step 3 - soft brush to clean shoe of ingrained dirt Step 4 - cleanser is applied Step 5 - cream leather conditioner applied (some wait 5-10min to absorb) Step 6 - brushing to take off any excess conditioner & start the polishing Step 7 - hand rubbing to continue the polishing process Step 8 - shoe polish & polishing water - small amounts of water added to shoe polish help create a mirror finish (he didn't use water until later) Step 9 - light brush buffing applied w/water to create even more shine Step 10 - more polishing water applied to create mirror polish Step 11 - waxing the sole in appropriate matching color Note * - most polishing water is just water but some added distilled alcohol He did some of these steps out of order and added a nice cleaning of the inside of the shoe, but this is the general procedure. He applied VERY small amounts of polish as he went along and thats why it took 40min. A normal Japanese shoe clean & polish takes just under 10min.
I would love to see a very short Video about how you are folding the tissue around your index- and middle finger. It would be highly appreciated, because I always struggle to fold it correctly :)
it looks like he's combining two different shades to match the shoe color. One color by itself would be either too light or too dark. He's kind of making a "medium dark" brown.
Yet another wonderful shoe shine video!...I really like the way your first clean out the inside of the shoe with a wet wipe...it shows great attention to detail...and is something you rarely see on other shine videos!
Jennifer Baker You should only use if your shoe sole edge was rough. this purpose is make smooth . My recomendation is #150 or #240 sandpaper. Sorry...I'm not good at English...Would you understand what I say ?
Despite watching your videos multiple times and searching them and replaying them again and again they never pop up in any of my recommended feeds. Might me something wrong? Perhaps this is why you don't have the subscriber count you deserve.
Hello, very nice video! I see that 'Cccc', asked you this question without any answer 4 months ago, I too would like to know what you used to wipe out the inside of the shoes at the beginning of the video. Thanks!
Great video! Great shine! Can I ask why do you choose not to use saddle soap when cleaning the shoe? Its not as abrasive as some of those leather cleaners you use.
I use the same make of polish on my shoes and I always add a little of my spit to the polish as I find it helps to emulsify the polish to give a quicker, easier and a better shine.
Anonymous Those are oxfords, brogues and wingtips. Oxford due to the lacing system, brogues because of the perforations and wingtips because of the W form over the toe box.

But this isn't really an ASMR category.
+derbigpr500 there aren't really categories in asmr it's just what sounds good
it triggers ASMR for me, so it must be appropriate
unintentional ASMR is much more effective than intentional

Fantastic shoes, great treatment, and great result... only one problem...... I'm not sure they needed shining :) they looked fine at the start lol
Icredible work! Could you please tell me how much does it cost to have a shoe "treatment" like that? Just curious... Thank you in advance.
Must have watched this a dozen.. lights out 10 minutes in everytime. Great video.. by the way, do you keep sea lions?
What grit of sand paper did you use? Thanks
Is that paint you put on the soles after sanding them? What grit sandpaper do you use? Where do you get the paint or whatever that is?

Are these super class shoes? They are nice. Where you buy these?
What is the reason you sand the heel and edge in the beginning? Is it so the edge dressing adheres better?
We are arranging the edge roughness. It is useful for complementary colors of edges of the next process.
Great video as always! I've got a question, which shoe polish colors did you use at 18:41 ? they make for an amazing combination
it looks like he's combining two different shades to match the shoe color. One color by itself would be either too light or too dark. He's kind of making a "medium dark" brown.

2:22 what is that he is rubbing on the sole edge? is that sandpaper?
Yes! I use sandpaper!

what sandpaper grit do you use?

What kind of shoeshine you have used?Where to purchase it?
Cream and wax are French made Saphir Noir and kiwi. Cleaner and brush are made in Japan made manufacturer. All are purchased in Tokyo.
Thank you sir.

spiFF, you should have said, "tell me" instead of, "say me". It is the correct way of saying it. I hope this helps.
Why do you use 2 different wax colors? Is one darker than another and is used for the toe/heel?
The reason for using multiple waxes is using different colors and different hardness of wax.
Terrible demonstration. He does not show what the two different products are or what he uses to rub the edges with. Is it sandpaper? Waste of a video
Terrible review of a good video. Do you think he made this video for you specifically? Lol
