- About 500 Hawaii residents and visitors watched from the shore and the waters off Fort DeRussy Beach in Waikiki Saturday afternoon as family members and friends bade farewell to reality-TV star Beth Chapman, who rose to fame as Mrs. Dog on “Dog the Bounty Hunter.”
Chapman, 51, died Wednesday following a lengthy battle with cancer.

As DOG has said, "BETH IS ONLY SLEEPING"... I've researched both Duane and Beth and learned about who they were and how they both changed to be law abiding citizens to Bounty Hunters. I have the utmost respect for them both ❤️
I've had run ins with the law and have changed my life to the better because of how these two people became America's most loved couple!! Of course I never knew her, but when I watched the show she seemed to be a very strong woman. I only hope her family have inherited that strength to carry them through this difficult time.
Beth is now in no pain in the best place we mortals can't even imagine and I am happy about that. I only feel sorry for her family who must now learn to live without her.

I was a daily watcher and it didn't matter if it was repeated just didn't matter I watched because Dog and Beth are an inspiration . I absolutely admired the woman Beth Chapman was. When in January in which Beth and I had a lot of things in common we just won't go there I too have stage 3 lung cancer and I know what it's like from mother to meet her children they got the same time you don't want any to see weakness and it's hard not to show. She was a blessed woman with a big wonderful family. I on the other hand was a single mother raised my kids 4 amazing young men but have no life insurance no medical insurance no disability and no income whatsoever to take care of what needs to be taken care of so everything will have to be taken care of by my kids and they are barely making ends meet for themselves so yes she was a very very blessed woman. If there is a will there is always a way I just pray before my end of day may God shows me away do not leave all these burdens to my children that would be this Mother's Prayer

My son died in 1993 at 14, after battling cancer. Beth died on what would have been his 40th
birthday. I'll never forget this lady & what she did for her community. She's resting now in God's
loving arms.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Beth in person, words cannot adequately convey the impact she had on my life. She was like the mom-sister I never knew. I often flip through episodes looking for her giving advice to others....just to hear and take in her words. She had more innate wisdom than most, and she will be forever missed! A beautiful and emotional ceremony for a wonderful and caring woman. I will never forget her. (My eyes are tearing up).
I've watched almost every incredible episode of their show. My roommate/friend and I would make sure that our only plan on "Dog" night was to watch the show. We were touched and impressed by Dog and Beth and their family, and parrot. We learned something about life and compassion from every show.
I'm a clean and sober addict and alcoholic. While I haven't used/drank in over 30 years, I never forget that I could have and can still become one of the people Beth and Dog, etc., helped. I had supportive people around me, in addition to a good dose of tough love, when I needed it. At the time, I had no idea how just how much I needed it.
Many people have been influenced to stop drugs (alcohol is a drug) by watching, or by knowing people who watched, these two very special and compassionate people give encouragement and guidance to those who needed it most. Their tough love was the real thing.
Beth and Dog even went a huge step further, with the permission of the person they were helping, by introducing a spiritual aspect. Beth was absolutely unbelievable when she was in the car with a female. Being proud to be a woman made her able to help them start to become proud of women they were and offered hope when they thought there was done.
How many people are able to say that they do the same? Not many. Beth was, (it feels weird and sad to talk about her in the past tense, I'm still in shock) a wonderful, rare, and unique person. I'm so happy that she and Dog shared their great love. I'm relieved about Dog having so much family to support him through this and in the future.m
(I often intend go write something short and it evolves into much more. Thank you for reading this).
Beth had a huge beautiful heart ! Her love for animals and children was overwhelmingly pure ! 51 yrs old is too young ! I'm so sad for her beautiful family , it's gut wrenching !

She was given a Hawaiian farewell ceremony (can't you read?), and while the cameras were a bit over the top, Beth was a people person and beloved in the community for doing good works and being kind, so this was shared with the community. They are having something private in Hawaii, and he also said that they are having a private memorial service for her with family in Colorado. People around the world, including North America, throw ashes into water, it's very common. Your comment is crass, ignorant and grossly uninformed.
