- I saw these in Walmart and figured I'd give them a shot. They were $10 a piece which seemed a little steep. Now that we know whats in them, What do you think?

The banger heads are pretty sweet from Headbangers. Also…their cranky Shad’s are erratic and really make a ruckus. Thanks for sharing Joe. I’ve never seen these before. Pretty nice crank in box 6.
I'll have to track down those cranky shads. I've heard good things about the headbanger jig head and thats why I was...let's say....annoyed...yeah, that works LOL - when I didn't get one with the lizards. That crank does look sweet. But I couldn't find that same pattern online. Exclusive? or poor performer? not sure. But I'll throw it. Bet it works well. Thanks for watching bro!

I wouldn’t buy another one not worth the $$. I have never joined a tackle subscription service it seems like a good way to collect a lot of tackle I will never fish with.
I used to think for a new angler, the boxes would be a great option. Try new things, and on a set amount of money spent. But lately, the ones i've seen unboxing videos for, I wouldn't even back that statement up anymore.

Agree! They call it a "kit" so maybe making them more fishable out of the box may be a better direction for them. That is a great craw. Nothing wrong with those Xzone baits. I fish that lake fairly often. Nothing of any real size in there. I think the biggest I pulled was around 2 pounds. I never tried frogging there..Maybe I need to LOL

Would love to get a small box like that down here. For new anglers or people on a budget, these would be great. Fishing gear is expensive down here, when I purchased those Tokyo Rigs after seeing them on your channel, $18 for 4 and that little crankbait in the last box, easy $15. I know you didn't look impressed after opening, but I think a youngster who is in to fishing would be excited. Great job with the vid, well done Joe!

Even here, the mystery subscription boxes are a good choice for new anglers. But I think even a budget angler would be better off buying off the shelf or clearance bin. Here anyway. I have a couple Ark square bills. Those are actually great quality baits. Everything else in those boxes really don’t impress me. I stopped my tackle box subscriptions. I feel they just throw anything in there. Thanks for the review Joe. 👍

Great video Joe! I agree with you, the second box (box 6) was the better of the two, but I don't think I will be running out to buy one anytime soon. For $10 they could have at least given you full packs instead of samples. I ordered one of the 6th Sense garage sale sacks today. Hopefully that pays off. Thanks for the video and take care man!

I know they do the sample packs in the subscription boxes. Just seems like full packs would make the boxes worth closer to $10. These boxes don't seem at all like a bargain, but it all made for a good video!

They caught my eye on the shelf for sure. They weren't priced and I carried them around until I found the scanner thing. I was going to put them back but the wife told me to get them for a video

Exactly. A sample pack of a bait that specifically calls for a particular terminal tackle,...and no terminal tackle included.
I have never been impressed with the Mystery Tackle Boxes, Buck and I did our little challenge on them, but what was inside was pretty lacking. I caught them on sale for 10 bucks and picked up 4 of them and still was not sure I got my moneys worth. Better to just buy what you want, the only mystery i can find in those boxes is why anyone buys them
I bought a few off the shelf too. I got one for $8. Still haven't opened it yet. I guess if you dont know what to throw, they can be fun to get. Or If you just have money to burn? Oh Im sure they are. Funny tho, I haven't seen any other numbers out there. Kinda strange. But they have that advent calendar they are promoting now. So maybe that has taken the marketing priority.
They were not a rip off really but not much over retail value either. Maybe a gift for a kid just getting into fishing or something but I can't say I would buy this for myself.

The only thing that stood out to me was the crank. I would atleast try all the plastic out and challenge myself to catch a fish on all of them. It's funny how they just folded everything up in the box like it wouldn't affect anything lol. Those trick worms had a bad looking kink in them.

Those Karl’s Amazing baits have a decent ribbon tail worm that goes on sale for $1 a pack during the holidays.
That’s why I never went back to their boxes. Way too many sample packs and not full products. The MONSTERBASS boxes were a better value, but in the end I cancelled them as well.
$10 isn’t a huge investment, but I like buying what I like/want over this format. That shallow crank from Arc wasn’t too bad tho. Definitely loud heavy knock to it.

I agree with the monster bass thing, but like you, I cancelled them too. I may have kept them for content alone if they had faster shipping. I would pay on the 5th and get my order on the 20th. By then, too late to make a video.

At $10 it's not really worth it unless you just want to try something different. At $6(I see people say $5, but it's $5.98) then it's actually a decent value IMO. Still, feel like at least with the hooks they could put a full 5 pack in or at least 1 headbanger head to go with the bait lol.

One of them had hooks, but not hooks that worked with the plastics in the box. Since I made this video, the boxes have dropped to $5. I think they know they made a mistake with this one.

To me, looks like another rip off from mtb. I used to be part of the monthly subscription for about 4 months and realized I was pretty much getting the stuff nobody wants out of a bargain bin at full price.
Pretty much the same reason I gave them up. And yeah, even they know this thing was a rip. The prices almost immediately dropped from $10 to $5 and even then, I'd pass on them. Thanks for watching!
