    Very enjoyable Glenn. Surprising being so close to I-40 that more people don't stay there. Love the sunset and the fireworks too. Thanks Glenn and Amy.

    Great campground, beautiful place. But the most important is your presentation which is awesome and very detailed. New friend added from Michigan with bell

    Ok I learned my lesson not to comment til the end cause now I feel dumb for saying that when you went to go do that. Great video and thanks for the fireworks show! Oh and there is nothing wrong with hot dogs ever!!

      Lol. Thanks for watching! Hot dogs rule! 🌭 🌭 🌭. It was awesome to see the fireworks from my campsite. As close a perfect 4th of July as you can get!

    I camped there in May of 2021 in site 22 I think. I have reservations in site 13 for May of this year. Great campground! Thanks for the video.

    Nice campground. For an extra $7 I'd pay for an electric site to plug in a fan. Something I've found useful is a cordless impact wrench, 8 inch lag bolts & 2 inch washers to stake down tents plus the impact wrench is great to get lugnuts off. That skinny mark on the trail was too skinny & deep for being a snake IMHO. What a Beautiful Sunset. Hey & you even got a good fireworks show.

      They come around from time to time @@CactusAtlas. Tricky part is finding the attachments to hook in at reasonable prices.

    At 17:25 you speak of lives of the Mormon people buried in the cemetery, the internet and how everything came together to allow you to video this place. Now that's a VORTEX! ;)

      Time to go back and find the twisted juniper. 😂 In all seriousness though... It's thoughts like that that we think of frequently. How documentation of stories/tales and what have you have changed and we all get that opportunity to be part of it now. Kinda cool stuff. 👍

    Thanks so much “Chubby Guy” for the tour and tip of the Homolvi campground. My wife and I plan to take advantage of this info on a spring trip to northern Arizona. You got a new follower.

    A fun place to go visit with its quirky items you filmed in Winslow. Love unique statues to sit with. You know they say nothing goes away on the Internet, maybe aliens will intercept signals and come visit winslow in the future like starman did. It appears to be a nice quiet get away place we could all use today.. hope you enjoyed it

    • @CactusAtlas

      Winslow certainly appears to be an interesting town! One we will have to delve into in the future. Not sure about any aliens but maybe they're already there and we didn't know it.

    There's meteor Crater and also clear creek nearby. Clear creek is home to a yellow water serpent and we were told as kids never to go and swim there. Wish you had more actual footage of the ruins themselves.

    • @CactusAtlas
      @CactusAtlas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We've been to Meteor Crater a number of times and actually have a video on it as well! 😃 During our stay we did visit the ruins and that footage is included in a separate video on Homolovi State Park - sites 1 and 2.

    Last time I was in Winslow I was standin on a corner and saw a girl in a flat bed Ford!

    • @CactusAtlas
      @CactusAtlas  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As you could see in my video, there was a flat bed Ford, but no girl. Guess she got tired of sitting around and left...

    Last time I was in Winslow it was so hot 🥵

    • @CactusAtlas
      @CactusAtlas  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bet! I know the STL area has some warm weather (and the humidity!) and I remember summers there well. Humorously though coming from the Phoenix valley now, Winslow is a cool off for us! 😂

      The Cactus Atlas 😂 if I remember right is was 100deg when I was in town and so dry, not used to oven heat.

    • @CactusAtlas
      @CactusAtlas  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It kind of does feel like opening an oven door! 🤣
