I think a true testament to travel is that you do get to learn things like this. I also didn’t learn a lot of these things whenever I was in school so being able to see them now is amazing. And being able to share them is even a bigger joy.

Miss Bunny I actually owned a pair of those metal roller skates you filmed in one of the display windows. I LOVED my skates. Went outside to skate every single day. And the cool thing is that they were adjustable, so I shared my skates with all my little cousins. We had a little key, and this key made them little or big. But all of us used the one pair of skates. Lol. I just dated myself. I'm 68 and I still remember all the fun we had with my skates. Thank you for the tour of Winslow. Travelling mercies 💖

Bunny, no wonder I love you. I love that you covered La Posada. I recently became obsessed with Fred Harvey who was the man who started the Harvey girls. I hope you make a point of visiting La Posada. It has some amazing artwork and the owners have done a bang up job at restoring it. There are only a few Harvey hotels still in existance. I highly recommend you pick up a book about the history of Fred Harvey. There is even a get together of Harvey fans once a year in Santa Fe NM which I am seriously thinking about attending.
For those who havent been to Winslow just a warning it is definitely a town struggling so dont expect it to be a thriving touristy town. Sadly much of the town is dilapitated or boarded up but many artists have moved to winslow so they are attempting to bring it back to its former glory.
Thanks for showing the museum and covering La Posada!

A lot of times that explains the backbone of the community in a way that is so vivid that you truly understand the people that started out in the area and why the community is the way it is more present day. I’m glad that you enjoyed the museum and also that you found the value in the one in Tennessee!

I have 40 acres off hwy 99 Chevlon Ranch. I used to have so much fun camping and fishing back then. You need to look up Crown King Az and go see it! Whenever I was traveling to an event in Arkansas I lost one so I went ahead and pulled all of them off until I could get a matching set. I’ll talk a little bit more about this in an upcoming video.

I didn’t know that’s where her property was… I knew that she had some but I wasn’t aware of the area. Very cool

Winslow is not next to williams. They are 90 miles apart with Flagstaff in between

Have stayed at the campground several years ago when it was free. Was pretty clean at that time. Sites are large and it is a quiet place.

Absolutely! It’s a wonderful place to stay and I don’t mind paying for a place like this along the way here and there

What happened to Quartzide? I thought you were going to be there a few days.....I was looking forward to what you found in the BIG tent.

I am currently here. The video that listed that I was coming to Quartzite posted in an irregular order. So I have two adventure videos that were previously scheduled that were supposed to go out before it. I decided to go ahead and post this one and I’ll post the other one this coming weekend.

In addition however my Quartzite videos will be intermingled within them

New to your channel and definitely enjoyed this video. I was wondering how far this was from the RTR?
BTW you kinda made me feel old with the matchbook and hotel keys and not pointing out the Howdy Dudie doll...all of which I remember.

This particular location is about threehours away from the RTR area I actually visited on my way toward the event. So I had a couple days in between when this was shot and when I arrived in Quartzite

Bunny I love to see your videos ..but would you say why is famous for rd 66 ? Hugs from Cancun 🇲🇽

    • @BunnyPlaysHere
      @BunnyPlaysHere  2 ปีที่แล้ว

This particular stretch of highway was made famous because it was the first connecting highway that would go all the way over to the West Coast. There were a lot of random roads but none of them took this particular path for transit. Later on they tried to streamline this and it took five highways to stay in the same distance that a single row did. They call it the mother road
