I heard this song on the car radio in 1973 and fell in love with it. I was 13. It does sound a lot like Stuck In The Middle With You, with the rythmic hand clapping, etc. Apparently, the record company requested that. I immediately went to the record shop to buy the album it was on (Ferguslie Park). Unfortunately, the song on the album was not the song I had been hearing on the radio. It was more of a "rocker" version. AND they changed the name of the song on the album to "Every Thing Will Turn Out Fine" (dropping the initial phrase). I still like the 45 RPM version better, but have never been able to find it. In fact, shortly after I got my copy of the album, the albums for sale at record stores completely dropped this song - As if it never existed! I would appreciate any leads on where to find an MP3 file with this song.
This is a nice follow-up! So two out of the three trades put it in the top 40, Billboard being the holdout. (SFX: Loud booing and hissing). I do know we didn't get the memo in Chicago unfortunately. In fact their other Billboard top 40 hit "Star" didn't get any airtime either. I was glued to the radio pretty much back then and I never heard them. Both were great records too.
The song that was playing when Gary Burbank was "killed" on the air on WAKY 790 in Louisville!😅 (Actually, he left for a radio station in New Orleans)😅
I don't think this mix has ever been released on CD. I've tried different greatest hits compilations, no luck. There was one compilation that actually advertised on its tracklisting "single version". Alas, it was the album version. I like this mix. It reminds me of Revolver-era Beatles, especially during the instrumental break.

I remember this song got a ton of airplay in upstate NY during the summer of '73. I was pretty surprised to find out it didn't break into the T40.
RIP Joe Egan. Reunited with Jerry now.

First post here on this channel and video. Good song. Thanks for sharing and posting.
And thanks for listening!
I posted this version on my channel in May 2022. It was taken from the UK issue. th-cam.com/video/6XMUrMhIIds/w-d-xo.html
@@the45prof98First time hearing this single. We blew off a good record where I'm from. Very glad you posted it.
Nice record!
This is a unique mix that is different from the album mix. The promo single contained the stereo version of this.

@@thehighllama8101 Same here.
It's a completely different take.
Remixed with a different "Stuck In the Middle" mix
Its actually a completely different recording. Not a remix.
Is there any chance you could share a lossless copy, please?
