Question: since the chance the hood (designed specifically for your model) won’t fit at all is extremely low, why not just paint it first then put it on the first time? Trying it on before painting is useless since you have to adjust the second time - unless you paint with the hood installed.
Great question, I have always test fitted hoods prior to paint because of flaws in the hoods or manufacture defects. This makes sure that you waste money on paint for no reason. The other part to that is most companies will not take the part back if there is issues if it’s been painted. They suggest and require a test for before paint to ensure proper fitment.
I’m very interested on this hood I’m either getting this one or the one that looks just like this but with the glass opening to see the engine My car is all gloss black id love to see this hood painted pls show us how it looks done given that if you do paint it all black it will give me an idea of how mine would look like
The Camaro is looking good Anthony. That hood looks ferocious. Can't wait to see it all painted up. Another excellent tutorial install video. I've been looking at all the different hoods we can install on our Camaros and this IROC-Z is one of my favorites. The CTR front facing air scoop is just right in height, width, length and it's not too tall. Love the L/R side louvers, very aggressive looking. Are you going ALL black or two tone with another color like many do with this hood? Thanks👍👍
