Half & Half is an American sitcom that aired on UPN from September 23, 2002, to May 15, 2006. The show focuses on the lives of two paternal half-sisters in their twenties who were estranged throughout their childhood, and are finally developing a close relationship. The series is set in San Francisco.

When I saw this show and one on one on nextflix I geeked out cuz I use to love these shows
We can thank Ms. Mo’Nique for suing Netflix for gender & pay discrimination. She ended up *silently* winning her lawsuit. Mo’nique fought to get her show “The Parkers”, Half & Half, One on One, Girlfriends & Moesha on Netflix!
I just finished the show and I’m so mad at the cliff hanger. They should have at least done the show justice and given them a 5th season to conclude it. I wonder who Mona picked and if Dee Dee and her sports agent coworker.

As a teenager I had empathy for Mona because of how insecure & unsure she was about everything. Since rewatching the entire four seasons on Netflix as an adult, Mona annoys the hell out of me. I get that the reason she had so many issues was because of her mother. But her constant need of validation, constant need of reassurance & self-sabotage was getting on my nerve. As adults we all go through those moments but she went through it 24/7. And when it was done she started all over again. There were times where I was beginning to think that she enjoy her moments of self-loathing
she did love that b/c she loved playing the victim.
I agree and I disagree. I blame her mother for being bitter and pushing the narrative that her dad was horrible without allowing Mona to understand and see for herself but I blame her father for allowing her to always feel second best! From rewatching the show, this man started a a new “rich” family while Mona struggled. There’s an episode where he bought DEE DEE an ENTIRE horse and didn’t buy Mona one when he had 2 daughters. His excuse was that Mona wasn’t suppose to see her get the horse but her mom was running late picking her up and the Syd just one example. Her insecurities started with her father never truly showing her love or the same treatment as his other family. You can tell from all the flashbacks they show. They constantly talk about her hair, her style, her weight and it’s embarrassing considering they are suppose to be her family. Wheeeww I have so much more to say but sadly Mona always got the short end of the stick.
It’s is nothing like the late 90’s and early 2000’s . I still go back and watch these shows
Wow Rachel true is 53 she looks 33 i just finished the entire series i would live a reboot the moms kept me in stitches they knew how to shade i always wanted spender and Mona to get together i know I’m a cheese ball .
She says her being vegan helped with her youthful looks!

This show felt like a grown up Version of sister sister. Only difference is they are half sisters instead of full blood ones.

I LOVED Half and Half! It’s still one of my favorites shows and I’d like to see a kind of reboot, but with the original cast. Rachel True & Essence Atkins are still so beautiful and amazing women and I’ll always love and respect them tremendously! Great video! 🧡

I was so irritated at the ending just like I was with Moesha they gave both of these shows terrible cliff hangers what happened ?
UPN ended up going bankrupt and a lot of the Black sitcoms we loved ended up getting cancelled once UPN & WB merged into “The CW”. This is why when Girlfriends was on the CW the show got dry (a lot of the original writers went on strike) and had a horrible cliffhanger.
And girlfriends , I’m starting to think it was a trend to end all the successful black sitcoms

When they added all the og shows to Netflix I was exccitted bc I never watched this show or one on one but since they been on Netflix I haven’t stopped 🖤
This is so unfair I’ve just finished watching all 4 seasons of half and half and I cannot understand why they cancelled it, just when you get to know these characters and look forward to watching them they cancel it so annoying 🤦🏽♀️

If you bring this show back it would be different just cause todays generation is different from the 90’s to early 2000’s to mid 2000’s. Literally the show was like the bomb but I don’t if it’ll survive today’s list of shows idk I wish that it could have been a season 5 tho but due to the networks you can never get a good show to stay running but I liked the growth in between characters Deedee finally spreading her wings, Mona going through life and tryna figure out what she wanted, Phyllis and big DeeDee still bantering but developing a sort of friendship, Adam still being the same but yet developing close friendships, Spencer still the same guy but he does have a little growth with women and the dad finally reaching out to have a better relationship with Mona... tbh it was great but one thing for sure that cliff hanger you always no a show gonna end with a cliff hanger so bad you wanna cry

I don't mess with card reading stuff but I did watch the craft just a black person was initially I recently saw interview on loop where she was speaking on it about her and racial discrimination within her acting career and movie.

The sound quality is really bad and I find it hard to hear what the host is saying. Maybe it's the interfering background music while he talks.
