    Disappointing how low of an increase veterans will be getting but our government always finds billions to send to Ukraine!

      What dose Ukraine have to do with the amount spent on veterans?
      It's funny that you think that if we weren't in Ukraine they would put money towards veterans.That's hilarious!!!😂😂
      They've been underspending on health and welfare for veterans for over a hundred years.
      As an OEF an OIF Veteran I have seen 0 differences For spending on veterans doesn't matter Who is in power or what war is going on The powers at be are always going to neglect those that put everything on the line for there country

      From what I understand it's not a raise but a cost of living adjustment.

    Such a crap increase compared to the huge increase in inflation. Inflation this last year was north of 4-5%. I feel for the ssi recipients who are trying to survive with the same increase while only living on

      I'm sorry to hear about this situation and I hope that the COLA will be reassessed in the future to better reflect the needs of veterans. Thank you for watching!

      Inflation this year has not even reached 4%. In 2022, it was average 8%, 2023 4.1, and so far this year the average has been around 2.8 or 2.9 (steadily decreasing). What you see in stores in corporate greed, not inflation.

    These rating percentages are crazy to me. 10% rating gets 171. So thats the value they assign to 10%. Yet 90% is only 2241. Thats only 10% less than 100% which is 3737. So if 10% is only worth 171 then why is the last 10% worth roughly 1500?
    Thank you for the info by the way. :).

    • @jasonburke7685
      @jasonburke7685 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      With VA math in calculating your total, that last 10% can be over 50% worth of extra disabilities depending on where in the 85% - 94% range you actually are and getting paid at the 90% level.

      I think it the difference in health of someone who is only 10% versus someone who is 100%. 9/10 if your 100% you are aren't able to work whereas if your 10% you still can can. Also I think it's the same as 90% to 100%. You can get a rating of 100% and still work or you can get 100% rating were you can't work.

  • @combatdouglas1306
    @combatdouglas1306 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The last 10% is worth so much more in actual dollars because the V.A. pays according to anatomical effiency. I.O.W. the first 10% is worth a token or circa 150 bucks. Whereas the last 10% is premium or about 1500 more.
    Think about it in terms of efficiency.
    If you are rated 90% you have but 10% efficiency anatomically remaining.
    It will take a whopping 50% rating to move the needle just 5% because there is only a 10% efficient body left to work with ( or rate) .

    Could you make a video on why they don't consider core inflation, i.e. food/energy when increasing VET COLA? I'm grateful for whatever increase there is, but I feel it pales in comparison with actual inflation, thanks!

    The fact we even get an increase, should be appreciated. If you have 100% coverage of all medical, THAT ALONE is tens of thousands of dollars worth of appointments/procedures.
    Stop being ungrateful Brothers & Sisters
    Hearing complaints about tax free benefits, is so hypocritical. You’re medical needs are taken care of, services and equipment FREE OF CHARGE, while also being compensated.
    Bigger picture is important to what we receive.
    Thank you for displaying the increase. I’m grateful for what we have available to us. Greed will never win my heart

      @@seanalexander-y8s I hear your frustration, but it cures nothing but sows further division. Actively allowing anger to build within out hearts, proves we have no self-control and the potential outcome is so volatile, it becomes unpredictable which way we would react.
      Practicing gratefulness is the best way to secure ones solace in any situation. God will provide, so long as the truth is stood by.
      If we feel convicted to take action, take that action in peace, so the foundation of our issues are addressed, that we feel recognized. Assemble together and seek someone who may present the problems tactfully, without invitation of rebuttal. Become unstoppable in the way you express your desire for change, while maintaining pesceful discourse.

      @prestigeveteranmedical i sincerely appreciate you and just out of curiosity, would it be advantageous for me to file a SMC for Asthma, E.D, a Varicocele that was diagnosed while active in Coast Guard back in the 80's and a surgery to my left hand and left wrist for carpal tunnel, trigger finger and the rerouting of my Ulnar Nerve which has gotten worse since my surgery that took place on May 20th, 2024 in which I can not make a fist or even open a bottle of water and have very little strength. What is your sincere professional recommendation
