I really love how over the years Capcom has managed to differentiate Ryu and Ken from each other. Ryu has stronger fireballs, stronger counters, tons of raw strength and now he has a meterless install special. Ken has a run, a better Tastu, a better DP and now he has a rekka as well. The days when they were identical are long gone.
Ryu honed his technique to its peak while Ken stylized it to fit his vibe. As the games (and story) progressed, you see where they diverge from the raw Satsui no Hadou style that they learned from their master. Pretty neat indeed.
He was a lil annoyed that the Chun overhead wasn't punishable. But yeah, no that Chun was great. Wouldn't be surprised if that was a pro player, just by how ridiculously controlled that entire set was.
To be fair it would be cool if most characters had a way to shake hands or show camaraderie in the start or middle of a match, similar to boxers when they get to the final round.
I wish I could show this to my kid self in the mid 90s and say "this is what its gonna be in the future" I couldn't even fathom games looking this good

Juri being more like her SF4 version, Ryu and Ken looking cool and fun, Jamie and Kimberly looking to be amazing newcomers, man SF6 looks like it could surpass SF4 and rival 3rd Strike. And we still have more to come with this roster.

Personality and individual play style is FINALLY back! That's the one thing that turned me off SFV was the lack of personality/playstyle options. Seeing you in all of these matches, each player actually plays differently from other players! For example this Ryu was much more defensive with using the charged up state more, but i've seen others utilizing the donkey kick much more as an offensive tool. This game is going to be peak Street Fighter, I can feel it in my body
That’s what happens at the end of SF3, and you can tell in 6 that his outfit very much resembles Oro’s garb. To have trained with someone (especially when you’re already an established fighter as Ryu is) doesn’t mean you need to adopt their fighting style, it just means you trained with them.

Oro wants to pass down his Senjutsu that's his main objective.Also in SFVCE they confirm that Ryu and Oro weren't aware of each other in that ending, so they never met and they never trained with each other. If Oro was Ryu's master at one point they would've said so but they haven't.
The animations in this game are incredible. Even stuff like getting knocked down and getting back up and the transitions between attacks looks so freaking smooth. Capcom really seems to be putting a lot of love into this game.

I like the textures of fabrics breezing in motion. Looks really authentic. - I will never get tired of seeing Ken's rolling throw for the finish. My brother used to put in WORK with Ken for hours at a time. @ 7:48 Sheesh! - Ryu still likes those fireballs.

After seeing this Ken vs ryu fight, it got me really thinking about how Akuma would play, with all these Drive mechanics I can already foresee them either nerfing or toning down his demon, Akuma will be an absolute Beast😄
One thing I love about this video is Max is realizing that Ken and Ryu aren't the only massive improvements Chun Li and other members have gotten massive improvements to balance it out! Granted Ken is the most noticeable due to what they did to him in SFV!

Capcom has been on fire for a few years now if you really think about it. They’ve been dropping banger after banger the only thing that still was falling behind was street fighter but then they revealed this game and upped the levels big time with this franchise. I still can’t believe how content packed the game is gonna be and how much they showed off already
Yeah, after watching gameplay and listening to hands-on opinions from the beta, it's apparent that the flow of SF6 actively discourages robotic flowcharting. It requires you to be unpredictable and play the mindgame well. It really feels like the true essence of Street Fighter is back-and possibly more exciting than ever. Matches built on this true, dynamic test of skill will always be the most fun to watch.
This game looks great. The simplicity of SFV, the mechanics of SFIII + CvS2 and the combo liberty and anime coolness of SFIV, it just works so perfectly.
Tbh this was the kind of stuff that MK11 should’ve had with their multiple meter system, the drive gauge serving as a source for meter burn of both offense and universal defensive counter, plus having the other bar act as a means to still have conventional super moves is ingenious. And on top of this it amplifies the high combo potential and rewards patient play just as much, which MK11 also failed to do.
I think Juri in SFV was so not used to her new eye that she was neutered gameplay wise. Maybe the OG Pink Engine eye put her on a Seth like level. SFV she had a prototype so her strength was cut in half. SF6 she managed to master this eye and even has her OG stance showing you she's back in her previous strength and now is just bored cause her purpose for getting that strong (Bison) is long dead.
I swore I would never give anymore money to Capcom, but I'm reconsidering. Can anyone tell me if x box wireless controllers have fixed their response timing for fighting games?
I think maybe the "forced knockdown" stuff is to prevent people from using moves with airborne startups to intentionally air-reset themselves and get a combo on your whiffed follow-up, like a lot of high level players tried to get with backdashes.
I wouldn't have thought it was possible for Capcom to make a 3D fighting game that looked as good and was as fun to watch as Third Strike, but here we are. You can't even call this an evolution from 5, it's like they threw 5 in the dustbin and made something completely new.
The combo's in this game are so much fun!! Capcom please don't tone down this game please allow us player to have fun and find new combo's and stuff as we play 🙏

I just noticed that the amount of time spent in burnout seems to further decrease when you block moves or hit the opponent (whether the attack is blocked or not) and the recovery seems to pause altogether when you're actually getting hit or thrown. So if you're in burnout and you get supered, does the recovery pause during the entire duration of the super? 🤔
