    I like it. If I had just the top, maybe I could incorporate that into my SHTF 50 rocket stove?

    I love the concept and the handle. Spark plugs and a wrench! So cool! :) Nice work.

      Haha, I didn't notice the plugs. Nice detail work when that happens and people don't catch it all 1st glance.

  • @MrJoeyBoombotz

    Excellent. What is not to like? I might add a 90 degree elbow to the exhaust that gets whatever unburnt unseen gases a few feet further up in the air for lung considerations but that is all. Best heater/cooker/grill/oven configuration I've seen. Smart. I love it. Kudos.

  • @trumpsahead
    @trumpsahead 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Love the functionality, the diamond grate is like a baffle making hot air circulate around like a convection oven. I'm guessing it cooks food faster than most grills. Nice job, I may try something like that this coming summer. ciao. Lol.

  • @3DCGdesign

    Like it. I dig the handle. I did something similar at beginning of the summer, cooked on it about 2 mths. Biggest problem is grease drippings fall inside, start on fire, and smoke, and make the food taste a bit off. Also, cooking surface is too small in your version here. If you invite guests, can't cook all the food on it. I ended up with a new version with a large flat surface grill on top, and eliminated all those issues. I'll try to post a vid of mine.

    This is a most interesting grill a great achievement by you for all of us watching. I would like to see you sketch and describe the way each part was put together. I do recommend that you stabilize wider the leg feature because of it being a little bit top heavy. As for the fuel please make sure you do not pick up any dead twigs of poison Ivy vines, sumac or poison oak. If inhaled it destroy the lung with lipid pneumonia and the face and skin will be covered with the sores. So please stick with known branches with a solid heartwood core and you will do fine. My question to you is can a rocket stove which has a self contained fire be used where charcoal bricket fires are not allowed in town and city parks?

  • @jeffjennings794
    @jeffjennings794 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    The grill looks great! I would consider better legs fro more stability but PLEASE stop waiving the damned camera around so much!

  • @TheHog007
    @TheHog007 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Rocket stoves are inherently used to burn biomass. Biomass is sooty. I would never use it as an open source BBQ. You have some major skills. You may try to convert this into an oven . With no direct access to the food. Good luck .

    Are the spark plugs meant to insulate the wrench from the heat? If so how effective are they? BTW a grill that nice needs a dual exhaust, although practically the single exhaust circulates the hot gasses better.

  • @dennismadigan2023
    @dennismadigan2023 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not sure if it's a rocket. The burn chamber needs to be longer and make it a top self loader

  • @jamesgulrich7416
    @jamesgulrich7416 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey! Love the stove. Big rocket fan here! So is your buddy still alive? My only concern is you really have to burn the correct type of sticks to cook food on exposed flame or smoke. Don't want to be burning pine or fir until it's down to only coals. Could end up with a sick buddy and family. Hard wood sticks like oak, cherry, alder or even apple.

    pretty nifty although I wouldnt burn just any wood in that because if its not tasty wood chances are you will poison yourself and others. I like using peach wood out of all smoking woods which would be find to burn too..
