Hey Steve, nicely done. You've came along ways in your "Damascus" making skills. That pattern was crazy, and your choice of handle material and accoutrements was spot on. Take care my friend.
Thanks again for making me that knife Steve... Like I told you, when we talked, and figured the design. I said, "it's not a wall hanger" for me... I used it couple months ago to skin a deer... Worked great... Thanks again bro, I love it... 👍
The way you slowly sliced up the paper--it was like a mob enforcer. "That's a beautiful family you have there, Mr Smith. Be a shame if something were to happen."
Well my friend, that's insanely gorgeous! You could not have picked better furniture or dress to go with this blade. It looks like it should be 150 years old and in a museum. Fantastic job and great video series! Thank you.
The final product looks incredible, Steve, and I also want to thank you for never shying away from showing us the full process, INCLUDING all the mistakes and what you think happened with them.
Dude!! I have watched your channel since you had very little tools in the garage… Truly inspiring to see this museum quality piece… I appreciate the “mistakes” being noted… Thanks for what you do and the clean soft editing!
Green! You have come a long way. I remember that goofy kid trying to find his way around an anvil. This knife shows you are moving to another level. Outstanding and congratulations!
Dude that looks amazing. I've been watching your chan for years and this is one of the best. Didn't even see the decarb lines till you pointed them out. Handle looks great too and keeping the medium etch was the right choice.
I believe the wood is Thuya Burl from Morocco, you can confirm this by a sniff test, it should smell like sandal wood in a spice rack. Beautiful knife!
Amazing!! Completely worth the effort. I've noticed that all of my best work has multiple prototype/attempts/failed versions behind it. Many makers would hide that fact and only show the finished product, I appreciate and applaud you for showing every part of the creative process. It encourages other makers not to give up if the first try(s) doesn't work out.
The finished knife looks awsome!!! The wood, you used is Thuja. I worked with it once and in my opinion, the only wood that looks better is desert iron wood. Great knife! Great projekt! thanks for all the tricks that could help me with my next projects.
I think the result is fantastic, regardless of silver lines or the slight cock up with the handle (where no one will ever see it, but I understand). Looking forward to your next vid.
I liked the first pattern and I like the finished knife. In the first one I liked the lines, don't know why but it appeals to me. But the finished knife was beautiful.
A really beautiful knife. Love the Damascus blade. Great colours. I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler, so I'm just sitting quite in the corner, just loving your talent!
A truly beautiful blade! A work of art in fact. Love it. I also appreciate your commitment to start over after the decarburized steel turned white on ya.. It's tough to make that call after working so long and hard at something. But ya did it and the knife looks amazing!
I think it turned out great! I've not had that "white line" issue before. Perhaps don't put them directly under the burner in the forge? 🤷♂️ Nice end result though!
its just they were in cans with the lines showed up. I don't get it, I might do my next tile weld open in the forge with flux and see what happens. I etched these tiles before welding and i didn't pick up any decarb so its strange to me... thanks!
@@GreenBeetle I do my tiling similar by adding mild steel sheeting on top and bottom and welding all the sides and I don't get these lines. Maybe you had some air in the can?
Hey Steve, ... I love that knife! It came out absolutely beautiful! The videos are done nicely, as well! Except for the part where you sliced up the little girl and her Teddy Bear! 🥺😳🤪 ... Just kidding, but plain paper might be a plus, in the future! 😎👍🏻⚒️🔥🗡️ All jokes aside, you did a great job Brother! Thanks for sharing! 💯🙏🏻
Visually awesome though I don't like the guard. I was just thinking about it now, I think I don't like the combination of ricasso being recessed (which suggests wanting to give the cutting edge extra maneuverability) and the guard "countering" this effect.
All those pieces came together so beautifully into the whole. We'll keep the slightly non-pro pin hole wandering into the tang hole just between ourselves, eh?
Hands down my fav knifemakertuber. Probably my favorite creation of yours to date, absolutely love how the guard came out!
Wow, thanks!

ANDDDD... on that sheet of paper was a picture of a little girl sleeping... very creepy! lol!
Well my friend, that's insanely gorgeous! You could not have picked better furniture or dress to go with this blade. It looks like it should be 150 years old and in a museum. Fantastic job and great video series! Thank you.
You're doing so much fancy-dancy process work these days. Makes for some mighty fine knives!
The final product looks incredible, Steve, and I also want to thank you for never shying away from showing us the full process, INCLUDING all the mistakes and what you think happened with them.
thanks, man.
Amazing work! Thanks for sharing the whole process…challenges and all!
Thanks !

goofy for sure. I wish I was a kid. started this at 39.

That damascus/brass spacer combo looks smart as heck!
Thank you for showing the detailed diagrams of how you made the Damascus! Great help. Very nice craftsmanship!
One of the better looking Damascus knives I've seen
Very Very Nice Steve. I know that you're hard on yourself, but this piece is a work of art. JUST SPECTACULAR 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🙏
i watched it again without breathing. i am grateful for your sharing master
To have a knife made by this man would be a blessing!!!
Man, that's one beauty of a knife! Amazingly done and so cool that you took the effort to overdo the whole thing just to get it perfect!
Really fantastic work, man! 😃
The knife turned out amazing! Really well done!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I personally think the tile lines added to the design, I'd love to carry a knife with that type of pattern.
that leftover Damascus spacer really lets things pop
i like it!
It turned out amazing! As many others stated i appreciate the fact that you leave in all the learning steps! Thanks again!
I believe the wood is Thuya Burl from Morocco, you can confirm this by a sniff test, it should smell like sandal wood in a spice rack. Beautiful knife!
Nice haircut at 8:05... Handsome knife, really love the mosaic and spacer.
Well, that's just damned fancy! Beautiful work.
Pretty slick piece of metal. LOVE your job on the spacers.
Epic as always mate. Particularly like the two tone look on the brass spacer!

Excellent work as always. I particularly like the brass spacers - offsets the wood and steel perfectly 👌
Cool, thanks!

Excellent job brother I like the shape and design and all the components that went into that one that is a very good knife.👍👍👍✌
Thanx for bringing me along on this journey
I liked the first pattern and I like the finished knife. In the first one I liked the lines, don't know why but it appeals to me. But the finished knife was beautiful.
Gotta say this knife is beautiful!
Absolutely STUNNING! And I want one.
Well I think it’s a very beautiful nice and thank you for taking us through the whole process
That looks like Camphor burl. Great knife and thanks for sharing.
You just keep upping your game man! So very nice! Thank you for the tips and tricks. Much appreciated!
Great knife, Rather Savage at the end cutting up a picture of a baby lol
Brass in pin hole? Nice idea, thank you very much.
It's very good-looking knife I'd enjoy having it in my collection
Looks good beetle
A really beautiful knife. Love the Damascus blade. Great colours. I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler, so I'm just sitting quite in the corner, just loving your talent!
That came out beautifully
The pattern for the Damascus is very, very good. The burled wood is beautiful. Together is tres bien 😙👌. Some of your best work.
Thank you very much!
Very cool, thanks for always showing your mistakes too.

Very nice, I've had the need for a bowie for a couple months now. Been working on restorations and haven't taken the plunge into making one... yet.
What an absolute beauty. Congratulations! Your creation is wonderful. Thank you for the video and bringing us along for the ride. 👍
Fine craftsmanship bro!
Great result Steve 😍👍
Beautiful knife 😀 greetings from Sweden
What an awesome result, in a great learning serie. Thnx🤘🏼
Happy to hear that im not the only one with a lot of "mystery wood" handleblanks laying around :D Nice work!
That is a very nice knife. And since making the Damascus was fairly easy and went so smoothly I think you should make a sword using that same pattern.
🤣
Absolutely gorgeous! Well done!
I think it turned out great! I've not had that "white line" issue before. Perhaps don't put them directly under the burner in the forge? 🤷♂️ Nice end result though!

I think it came out great, love the stacked handle design.
Awesome work Steve!
Excellent work as always.
The name of the wood is Burl Ives... I think.
Great knife btw.
I think it came out awesome, and it's not just because we have the same first name 😉👍🏽
Another gorgeous creation Steve. Think it's box elder burl bro
Could be
Ya ain't going to want to get that one going in a hurry, I just like to hang on to the good ones for a little while before I move them on LOL
Luv it. The pattern is awesome.
Awesome knife. Also I want your brownie recipe lol
Nice finish to the whole project 👍.
Thanks 👍

Awesome per usual. Though there are a lot of jokes left near the tang hole. Lol
Beautiful blade.
Since you've asked, I think it looks great!
Looks really good man!

Beautiful!!
Yes please.
Gorgeous!
So good 👍

Ty sir
All those pieces came together so beautifully into the whole. We'll keep the slightly non-pro pin hole wandering into the tang hole just between ourselves, eh?
What happens in Vegas…
Bravo! Nice knife...
that is one sexy knife Steve! Great job! It's so good that I'll double my usual offer....$10 cash on the barrel head right now for that knife!
Nice job!
Turned out pretty nice, all things considered 🙂
Very nice!
Looks really good to me. Being mosaic even the lines between the tiles dont bother me. Thank you sir. Interesting journey. 👍🤝
So nice of you
