But I know many people will speak of John the Baptist as if he did baptize in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost literally saying so.... but that's just not so if he had done so he would have been killed instantly... really all this guy's saying is we need to go back to the original documentation the Bible says study to show yourself approved.... I love how you actually had a Christian attitude about it and we're enlightened because knowledge is always a good thing and God adores knowledge because he is the king of kings in the king of knowledge in God is the abundance of knowledge the book is a living book is something that breathe unconditionally inconceivably incorruptible .... Tyndale did probably one of the best that I know of you can get it in English I have the Anglo-Saxon version but it's really good and I believe that you would enjoy it a lot... but it's always good to study I remember that the Bible's talked about the bereans quite well because of their studying study study study the word is a very powerful thing...

i think it's really interesting to see the jewish roots of "christian" practices but it's also important to see the unicity and the differences between the traditionnal jewish immersion and the baptism of Jesus-Christ because this practice is not just an old ritual but a really new concept.

Wonderful. I am interested in how Jews baptized in the past. We do immersion in the name of Jesus and are not trinitarian Christians. so I am studying traditional mikvahs and baptism. Do you have any information on the golden laver in the tabernacle?

Water is the "Door" to the Blood of Christ!
      "Dam" means "Blood" in Hebrew!
      "D"...dalet...means...DOOR!
      "M"...mem...means...WATER!
      Get it?

crying voice in the wilderness... baptized by tears by natural sorrowful repentance or understanding how you hurt someone or yourself and truly understanding causes you to feel a battle between your soul and your flesh. this causes a desperate desire to do better and have more control over your fleshly impulsiveness...and thus you ask God to give you help (grace) ....your not perfect but he is and can and will help...just ask...seek...

I agree with you jehovahuponyou that this guy shouldn't be calling himself Rabbi and
then use Greek names for the Messiah. But on the surface a rabbi just
    means a teacher.
To me the more concerning points is those 2 crafted idols behind him?!? And the fact that he believes that people were baptised naked. The Messiah would never have exposed Himself in public as it goes against Torah. Also the Messiah was never filled with sin, so why did He really Mikvah?

Jehovah is a grammatical error, there is now Jehovah in Hebrew, no J sound at all the name is Yah-weh. Jehovah is a heretical annunciation and desecration of of God's Title. This Rabbi is just in his teaching as all of it is true and proven from historical documents. He's using the Greeco-Roman reference of Yahshua because it is common.

The purpose of Christ’s baptism is clearly stated in the gospels. It was not for repentance.

Christians do not understand St. John was a Jewish priest who baptized Jesus into Judaism. Then Jesus made his own religion, and abandoned Judaism.

...yes John was of the priestly Aaronic line...but he was rejected by the Temple High priest establishment, so he was exiled to the wilderness from his childhood (Luke 1:80). Why was John in the wilderness from childhood?...Ancient traditions states John's Priest father Zacharias was also killed in the temple when Herod slaughtered the innocent children of Bethlehem (Matt 23:35; ProtoEvangelion of James Chap XVI:1-16) ....but no John didn't baptize anyone into Judaism...Jesus and all others that John baptized were already Jews...John and the earliest Christians were in fact converting ritually clean, and even temple worthy, pious Jews into a coming new kingdom and messianic epoch by baptism ...see John 3:1-10, Mark 1:7 & @; Matt 3:2; Acts 2:36-41 & 6:7...

One does not get 'baptized' into Judaism. Circumcision is the ritual bringing a son into the covenant, and if one has a Jewish mother, one is Jewish. Yeshua did not start a 'new religion'. And gentile believers were not required to become Jews, but Jews were likewise not required to leave Judaism. Paul teaches that there is now no division between Jew and Gentile.

Jews need baptism in Jesus' Name. Look that video up on TH-cam. "Jews need baptism in Jesus' name". Seriously, find that video...in the search. Good stuff..... Short, concise, and pointed. "Jews need baptism in Jesus' name". Find that and watch through it.......

sweetscholar baptism is an amazing thing and it should be taken I believe and also the Bible says so but it is not necessary for salvation as the thief never died on the cross and went to hell he went to heaven because Jesus is not a liar neither it or the apostles he doesn't need to be baptized in fact he needs to know Jesus first he needs to accept Christ first baptism is a self choice if you don't go into the water of your own choice knowing who Christ is then it is nothing and it means nothing....
