That compilation of nose art at the first went by so fast I couldn't be sure but thought I saw my Dad's aircraft: "Jane's Own.". I'd have to dig the photos up because I thought that had been an A20 unless the pilot (whom I was told named the aircraft) used it for both their A20 and A26. There were other similar patterns so it might've been my imagination.

During the tail end of WWII Some of the A-20 units were transitioning to the A-26 and a lot of the paint is similar. I don't have any records for an Invader named "Jane's Own". The closest I have is one called "Lady Jane 2".

Any films of air show demonstrations from the 50's and 60' s?, Dad once flew in a show and nearly crashed, he polished the end of the tail on the tall grass of the field when doing a pull out from a loop. The base commander admonished Dad for his "bad altitude", Dad loved the A-26., Tainan 63-65 MAAG.

The Thai wound up hosting a B52 base in Ubon so I guess they dropped that formality when they considered hiding B52s behind the attack designation. I always call Invaders A26s anyway just to avoid confusing identification errors..
Uh Oh, another hot running double row radial and cowlings with inadequate circulation. But If you lost more to AA than to engine fires they didn't come close to Curtis Wright's B29 troubles with it's initial run of leading exhaust port, oil leaking, Magnesium crankcase R-3350 Firetraps with inadequately circulating cowling flaps making things worse yet.

Most people call them A-26s in casual conversation just to avoid confusion with the Marauder. Its really only important if you are looking up official records from the Air Force or the FAA.
So far, I havent seen any accident reports of engine fires due to overheating, but engines quitting happened. The ferry fuel tanks spontaneously exploding was also a thing.

What is shown is an A-26 not a B-26 Two different aircraft altogether.

With respect, that's not entirely accurate. You are thinking of the Martin B-26 Marauder, which was retired from service in 1947. The US Air Force also became an independent branch in 1947 and one of the first things they did was to eliminate the "Attack" designation in 1948. The A-20 Havoc was changed to the B-20 Havoc. The A-24 Banshee became the F-24 Banshee, The Martin XA-45 became the XB-51, and the Douglas A-26 Invader became the B-26 Invader.
The Invader carried the designation of B-26 from 1948 until 1966. This is why it's a B-26K during this video. In 1966 the Air Force reintroduced the "Attack" designation to be able to station these planes in Thailand, which would not permit bombers to be based there.
