In the '90s, Power Rangers had two feature-length films! However, one did GREAT and one did HORRIBLY at the box office. After entering the new millennium, there were actually plans of a third Power Rangers movie, that would feature the current team of Rangers, the Time Force! But, this film ultimately never got produced, why is that? You'll find all those answers in this video!

Power Rangers Time Force (often abbreviated as PRTF) or Time Force is the ninth season of Power Rangers, based on the Super Sentai series Mirai Sentai Timeranger. Time Force's plot and structure are considered to be "darker" and more "mature" than its predecessors.
Power Rangers: Sins of the Future is a graphic novel published by Boom! Studios and written by Trey Moore and Matthew Erman. It is based upon Power Rangers Time Force but is set within the continuity established in Power Rangers HyperForce.
Power Rangers HyperForce is tabletop role-playing-game web-series produced by Saban Brands. It is streamed live by Hyper RPG on Twitch, and also available in audio format as a podcast. The events of the RPG take place within the HyperForce Dimension, later crossing over with Shattered Grid.

I have to admit I never knew this. Time Force was the last season I ever loved. I was about 8 when that season aired, and aged out after sort of watching Ninjas Storm and SPD here and there. Would've been cool to see this.

The Timeranger movie could have been the basis of the cancelled Power Rangers Time Force movie since there could have been a Gaoranger vs. Timeranger cross over that could have been featured a Robotic Org
Fact: The transition to Disney should def be a video. It literally happened mid season in Wild Force with so much of it's direction in action and editing being very apparent. Ninja Storm was that fire tho.
Time force film:
After the series, Wes and Eric as the SilverGuardians decided to expand there operations from Silver Hills, to through out time. Because this is 2001 and time travel is years ahead of them, they manage to rip a hole through time space bringing several villains back from mmpr to time force. They go out to send them back while teaming up with several past rangers and the yr 3000 time force after both the time anomalies and Wes and Eric.
I always did think that if any season got the film treatment besides MMPR, Time Force would be the best candidate.
Who knows, maybe Hasbro has some surprises.
There are rumors there gonna do a live action adaptation of shattered grid. Which honestly I doubt cause they prolly don’t have the money for that lol. But we’ll see

If Time Force has 50 episodes, it would the first Power Rangers season that has the same amount of episodes as the Japanese version. I know Timeranger has 51 episodes, but the last episode didn't really count because it was a spacial.

the movie would've been an Episode Zero type thing setting up more about the TF group and Ransik's crew and would probably end with them having to chase after Ransik, with Wes being introduced in the first epiosode

It would be nice to see a video on Disney buying the rangers cause I have always heard they treated Disney treated the rangers like the redhead Ed stepchild so to speak and that there original plan was to completely end the show after the rpm season cause they didn’t want the show anymore but I’m glad that it ultimately didn’t end cause I still look forward to new episodes 28 years later and at time it can be obvious the target audience isn’t my age demographic but I have loved the show since 1993 and will not give it up

Time Force is one of my favorite seasons! If I had to choose the story for the movie, it would be a time travel adventure to fill that minor missed opportunity the show had. I hope Hasbro will take a Time Force Movie to consideration. Because we just don’t want to see Mighty Morphin.

SPOILERS FOR TIME FORCE AND MIRAI SENTAI TIMERANGER
With the idea of Alex coming back for the Quantum Morpher and Eric dying sounds exactly how Ryuuya (Alex's counterpart) was the original TimeFire and sent the morpher along with the mecha in order for someone to die as TimeFire instead of him which was Naoto (TimeFire) (Eric's counterpart)
We'll that's a shame. That movie would've been awesome.

Time Force Rangers movie and TV episodes already banned by Netflix
Great video. I’d love to see a time force movie where you start in the future and the Rangers follow after a time traveling villain, but instead of simply going back to where Wes is, they go to different power rangers teams, you can have the villains team up and beat/kill some of the Ranger teams, then the time force rangers arrive, find maybe one or two rangers, only to find the villains have left, other rangers could join them as they go back in time, the final scene could be in the mighty morphing era. Could you imagine a Dr Tommy teaming up with his younger self? For a dark twist, the villain kills Tommy as the green ranger, and Tommy as the black ranger vanishes. Finally they destroy the villain and using time travel magic undo everything.

I'm currently writing a 5-part fan-fiction of PRTF, concerning the ALEX arc (DAWN OF DESTINY, FIGHT AGAINST FATE AND DESTINY DEFEATED). In this story, we ask ourselves what if TF failed to stop Frax and Dragontron, what if Frax took over the world. Worse of all, what if TF along with the Silver Guardians died in battle. During Dragontron's first attack, Wes gets blasted 10 years into the future, where Frax rules the world, mutants are all but extinct and the TF Rangers were killed in action (except for Jen and Eric). He enlisted the help of a broken Eric, the new Quantum Ranger, Jen and an exiled Ransik to get him back to 2001 to save the future. I call it POWER RANGERS TIMEFORCE: DARK FUTURE. It pays tribute not only to TIMEFORCE (along with its Sentai counterpart MIRAI SENTAI TIMERANGER) but to the BTTF trilogy, the Terminator Saga, an episode concerning time travel from JUSTICE LEAGUE and TEEN TITANS, and of course the DARK WISH 3-parter from MYSTIC FORCE.

It has been bothering me for some time now..Alex looks just like Wes In which Jason Faunt played both parts but how Is It possible? Seeing as how Wes had the same DNA for the morpher like Alex, would.mean that he's Alex's great great great (x30) grandfather meaning that Jenn had to of went back In time to make love to Wes meaning she had a life back In the year 2001 with Wes an most likely had a baby..an from then on his children had children an they also had children etc. Meaning at some point Jenn had to of went back to the future right after she had her child..I wanna say about 4 or 5 years In 2000s but she must've forgotten that staying In the past could mean consequences because It wasn't a mission..soo what I'm trying to get at here Is.....Is Jenn Alex's great great great (x30) grandmother?

I can't think of a single Power Ranger that stayed dead. Kendrix came back somehow, Alex was spared by some kind of timey wimey bullshit, Roboknight was from a shit season. So I'd welcome any storyline in which death is permanent.
The movie was canceled before production began.
Not sure if I'd call this "canceled". It's more an idea that was thrown around and ultimately discarded before actual development on it began. Also, box office - budget is not how it works. Budget does not include marketing cost, and the cut theaters keep from the box office. If you have a movie with a budget of 100 million, there has to be marketing budget added. Mostly those costs are kept under wraps. But let's say the 100 million movie has a 50 million marketing campaign. Then, generally theaters keep a cut. That differs from distributor to distributor but generally people assume that they keep around a third. So, if our movie with all costs of 150 million would gross 200 million, it would still be a dud, because it made no profit. That's why these big budget movies these days are considered flops if they don't make a billion dollars. They generally are not even that profitable before that magical number.

@@finnballinger5791No, I think it's two different characters. I recall very vaguely one of the head producers even said it wasn't the same Venjix from "Forever Red". Besides, RPM was set in an alternate universe different from the previous 16 seasons before it.

Do you think it was weird seeing, what it appears to be, Time Force Pink Ranger developing a romantic relationship with both the future Time Force Red Ranger and the present Time Force Red Ranger given the family connections? Would it have made more sense if the Time Force Rangers were renamed Alternate Reality Force Rangers? Should a team of Rangers called Alternate Reality Force Rangers exists in the Power Rangers stories?

Aside from a few little nitpicks about the DNA looking morph and DNA lock on the morphers, I think Time Force was one of the best series because they didn't stray too far from the source material, and they didn't dumb it down and insult fans intelligence, and it had some pretty violent moments as well. Its almost as if, if you make a show for kids but have more edgy stuff in it, that kids like it more. The show was made for fans and not for parents.
Honestly, I think this movie could've been Time For Lightspeed. Just my thoughts.
My favorite season of Power Rangers. Hope they make a Time Force movie one day.
