France in a MOTORHOME: 3 Month Vanlife Adventure

- We're doing a 3 month motorhome road trip to Europe and our first real stop is Vermoutier and Camembert.Join us on our motorhoming tour of France.
We're in Camembert and Vermoutiers, Normandy France in our motorhome at the start of our European roadtrip.
We're full time vanlifers who are heading to Spain through France initially.
This week we've found a hidden gem in France staying in the beautiful town of Vermoutiers just outside of Camembert.
We're on the hunt for cheese in these fantastic French villages in Normandy. This location is very close to the coastline and an easy destination for a short break in the motorhome to France.
Camembert is the home of the famous Camembert cheese and we take a look around the town with its famous cheese museum.
We stay overnight in nearby Vermoutiers where we hunt for an Aire to park the motorhome.
We're a retired couple who travel full-time in our motorhome, join us as we tour Europe this year in our van.

Hi Sue, we thought the same, good priced real estate, although you do have to add around 10% for costs in France...still cheaper than the UK though. Weather turned in Northern France so we are heading south...glad you enjoyed it love to you both ❤️
You two crack me up. The food looks amazing. I think the village signs upside down are done in support of the French farmers 😊

Very nice, I've been to France and I liked the older buildings and statues. I didn't get to see the countryside. We just lit a candle in one of the first mission in Texas yesterday. Thank you for sharing have a great day.

Great video as always. It’s amazing how France 🇫🇷 can be so accommodating with grey and Blackwater disposal points at a public carpark. Perhaps the UK could learn something about that?
We do enjoy some nice camembert 🧀, so many different flavours of cheese to experience.

Wow, prices of property cheaper there. Wouldn’t be able to buy a garage for 68k here! The Camembert looked delicious, could have eaten a whole one of those washed down with the Cider! Bargain prices! Looks beautiful around there. Love to you both xx

It's a shame attractions in France seem to shut out of season, we had the same problem coming back from the South in September, only just out of high season and most things were only open at weekends.

Hi Jacqui, thanks for the lovely comment 🥰 So I was born in North London but grew up in Germany and Woolwich (dad was in the Army!) I used to go to the Deptford market with my mum in the 80s!! I couldn't live in London now, just too busy. So glad you found us ❤️

Hi guys 👋 yes we weren't planning to buy so soon, but this house gave us what we were looking for, so we took the plunge and we are glad we did, but, it does affect travel plans, you have something else to consider, full time Vanlife does feel so free, but of course it's great to have roots too. I loved living in Germany, spent most of my childhood and young adulthood there ❤️
While we were there mum and dad bought a caravan and we spent our school holidays visiting campsites around Europe when we were little (not Spain though). I remember them having little gas lights that had a cobwebby material thingy which we were told not to touch.. of course that's exactly what my sister and I did and they disintegrated haha.
@The4manxies ah what lovely memories, we were the same, although we went in a tent for years to Italy every year and then they bought a trailer tent, which was brilliant, 4 children can't have been easy! But we were so well travelled even though it was the 70s ❤️
